I learnt from a Facebook page #askthepadeatrician that greenish poo is due to the baby getting only fore milk and no hind milk. What that means is that your baby is not feeding well - spends less than 20min on each breast. Your baby should spend more time on each breast in other to get both the fore milk and hind milk.

If the poo does sink completely into the diaper, then that should rule out diarrhoea or runny stomach.


Also they can poo 2 to 3 times daily or not at all for up to 1 or 2 weeks

So try breastfeeding better

But how can I make her stay for more than 20 minutes on each breasts because she doesn't suck for long even when I try to make her stay long on each breasts.

I'm using abidec drop for my baby also giving her seven seas cod liver oil.

If you're giving formular give water, don't be disturbed about the pooping, your baby will poop. As long as it isn't affecting his feeding. It happened to my baby I just kept massaging her belly with hot water and she pooped after 4days. They said it's fat that causes it . That is when your baby wants to get bigger. Lol.

What's the function of the abidec & seven seas cod liver oil please. My baby is 11weeks old & on EBF

So I weighed my baby girl yesterday and she weighed 4.5kg. she will be 2 months on the 27th of this month, my mum thinks her weight is too low, what is the ideal weight for her age please. I'm a first time mum.

Mamas, my 6 weeks old baby does not poo everyday but she farts a lot. I notice she gets really uncomfortable when she wants to fart. I don't know if it's normal. I'm a first time mum and she's on EFB.

Hi moms, my baby is 3 weeks old today & on EBF . She poops a lot in a day. I noticed she poops after breastfeeding (may not be immediately though) & it's yellow egusi like poo. She also acts uncomfortable when trying to pass the poop

Is this normal MAs...... I'm a first time mum.

Glory be to God, my LO is here. She arrived early hours of yesterday. Ko easy mehn! B:S coming soon. We still dey recover. They've not discharged us.

My people, so I posted that I put to bed on Wednesday 27th but until now, I've not been discharged because of low PCV 15%. I've been drinking ewe ogbo and milk... Ugu, milk, maltina and any other thing that can boost my blood to at least 20% so that I can be discharged.

What else can I do please. Help a distressed mum. Baby is in good condition though.
