Birth story!!!

I had my first myomectomy at 20. They were 9 fibroids and the biggest was pedunculated, cystic and subserous which made the surgery of importance. My doctors counseled me to start planning pregnancy and all. Lol, I was a virgin prior to my surgery and that made me lose it. Yet, no pregnancy. About 2 years after (I was now single), I started having very heavy periods so I went for a scan which revealed fibroids were back. I cried my eyes out, called my mum and she encouraged me. I decided to bear with the symptoms. My God! Every menstruation was a mad cycle. I had to get thick always pad and I kid you not, I used at least 4 packs of pad every cycle. I always got stained even with that “special” brand. During this period, I met my husband.
I had to see a doctor who is an O&G prof at UITH (she’s such a blessing to me. Her hospital is Gracevid hospital, agbadam, ilorin for those who need it. She is a fertility specialist too). Prof examined me, placed me on some drugs to reduce the rate at which I was bleeding and asked me to do scan and HSG. HSG was a very painful procedure and I weeped while it was done. Result came and said I had multiple fibroids which had distorted my uterus and my right Fallopian tube could not be visualized. My husband (then bf) was worried but encouraged me. I went to prof and she said she would not carry out any surgery on me till I was going to get married. This was because my endometrium was breached in the last surgery and it could have effect on fertility. Prof counseled me not to rush into marriage just cos of what I was going through. I listened but I knew I had my own husband already (which was my bf)
Few months later, my bf proposed and I informed prof. She asked me multiple questions to be sure I was getting married for the right reasons. She planned my surgery and I had 52 fibroids removed. Yes, 52!
I healed well afterwards, she placed me on a dose of leuprolide injection (about 35k per dose) to slow down regrowth. I started trying to get pregnant but no show. I went to prof and she told me to do scan, HSG and sono. Scan and HSG showed I had a fibroid seedling while sono revealed I had twin follicles which were about to ovulate. Those twin eggs ended as menses.
Prof encouraged me and asked if I talk to God. I told her I do and she told me to go and pray like I’ve never done. I prayed and I dreamt.
In the dream, I was on my period holding my special pad to go and change. My pastor’s wife met me on the way and asked why I was holding pad when I should be pregnant. I started crying in the dream and I woke up. I told my husband, called my mum and my pastors. We started praying cos it was a sign I was fighting a battle. My husband stood by me through it all. Few months later, my husband (who doesn’t dream) woke up and told me he dreamt I was fighting a very big snake, it had wrapped me up and I was struggling with it. He picked a cutlass, killed the snake, cut it into pieces and cooked it to eat. That week, my mum also dreamt that someone accosted her for not inviting her to my wedding after which she apologized to her. I knew God had won the war.
2 weeks after, my husband dreamt I did a pt and it was positive. Omo, I did a pt the following week and it was positive. For the first time in my 26yrs of life, I got pregnant! I cried, thanked God and begged Him to perfect everything.
At 20weeks, I started spotting at work and rushed for a scan which revealed threatened miscarriage. I was placed on bed rest and it was discovered I had pregnancy induced hypertension so I was placed on daily vasoprin 75mg to prevent pre eclampsia. It worked perfectly. Prof told me I would deliver via elective CS cos my uterus had too many scars for labour. At 34 weeks, I started contracting and rushed to the hospital. I had a fibroid which was degenerating and that was stimulating contractions. I was admitted and placed on drugs. Thankfully, it stopped. I started contracting again a day to my scheduled surgery, so prof wheeled me in for an emergency CS. God blessed me with my own child. He wiped my tears. He gave me a son who looks so much like my husband. God changed my name and now I’m called a mummy. Just take a minute to thank God for me.

Has it fallen off yet? Change the brand of spirit to an original one quickly before the area becomes infected. Go to a renowned pharmacy and ask them for original spirit. Once you open it, the smell that will hit you will tell you. Also, it dries up immediately when applied on a surface.
Hadromed is good but I don't know if it's available in your location.

With original spirit, the umbilical cord falls off within a week, two weeks max. Don't apply anything else please and please, to avoid infection. � After it falls off, you can apply original vaseline blue seal after cleaning the surface with spirit until it's sealed.

Always use your lmp to calculate accurate date. That was what my gynaecologist explained to me. Late scan thats scan after first few weeks of conception doesnt give accurate date,this is because it reflects the baby's size and not the gestational age u get.

That is why scan is done early to give date.
All these late scan are plus or minus 2 weeks from ur main date. Always use ur lmp.

Jam this this lady that we attend d same antenatal on YouTube, apparently she has a YT page and she has given birth too. I was eager to watch abi hear about her birth experience in 'our' hospital. Just to know what to expect.

They admitted her for delivery at 37weeks cos of HBP that they've been managing since like 27weeks, and then they lined up about 8 of them to one room for induction and cervical ripening. She said she was so scared of it cos she has heard alot of bad gists about it.

She said Each of the 7 ladies came out of the room after the procedure unable to walk well, bending down in pain. Whatever it is they are doing to them inside must be very painful she thought, So she made up her mind that she was going to go for voluntary CS.

When it got to her turn, she entered the room and sat down on the bed ready for whatever, she looked down under the bed and saw looots of cotton wool with blood under d bed (obviously from the other women) that was when she jumped up and said Lai Lai she's not doing o, and opted for CS. She couldn't go through with it. She pleaded with the doc ooooo.

Her doctor didn't agree ooo, said she was just scared for nothing, and since it's her first child, it's better she go through with the induction and ripening first. It because a back and forth between her and d doc.
She Said she waited untill the next day evening before they later agreed to do CS for her oo.

And she said after everything only 3 out of the 7 women gave birth through Vagina delivery, the rest still had to do CS ,after all the pain they went through oo.
My question is, why go through the pain of induction and cervical ripening when it's not sure that the person will have a Vagina delivery. Me I have really low tolerance for pain o

Can't shake the story out of my head since last night . Women go through alot in the process of bringing another human to life, may heavens make it easy for us IJN

Hmm teamie it wasn't easy doing the leaf stuff,at times I buy the ugu but will forget to squeeze the leaf.I used capsules steady BT I doubt it helps na dat ugu juice help boost the pcv then . will have to continue with it now

As per that "far" ehn, I'm seriously confused. Docs are using scan date not my lmp saying its not correct (and I'm very certain it's correct). According to my lmp, I'll be 29 weeks tomorrow but my Tommy measured 34weeks. It's been 6 weeks ahead since i registered and did my first scan. EDD is 22nd August but scan is 21st July. Imagine the difference.

So I asked the doc what happens when I don't go into labour by 40 weeks According to scan. He said I'll be given 1 week and check the state and size of the baby then be induced. My confusion hasf confused. Has anyone experienced this before?

My girl friend didn't see her period last month 23 till now and she did test using urine and it was positive and am not planning to have a child now.
So we did abortion (pills) 200 mg June 1 ( Wednesday) after that no bleeding and she took abortion pills again ( Thursday) June 2 still no bleeding . I need help or advice on what next to do. She is having stomach ache

Birth story!!!!

I got pregnant sometime last year, immediately I found out I was pregnant all the symptoms and packages came as per roller coaster, I could not get myself well till January this year, from nausea to food aversions to headache, I was just managing myself. Work became stressful around February Asif devil ready for me, but I just removed my mind from all those annoying things because I believe the journey is worth it. I registered for Antenatal at 12 weeks when I started having some stomach aches that was even making me not to walk upright. I did scan and they said there is fibroid, I assumed it is nothing serious and I prayed and told my baby to kick out anything useless that wants to drag space with him/her and occupy his/her God given space gallantly.
Labour day : Labour started at 1am on the first of June no water breakage or leakage, no mucus plug seen, but I started having back to back cramps at 1:30 am, I managed to bear it till 3:45am and I could not take it anymore, i woke the person with me up and we carried bag to the hospitals after I managed to bath and brush my teeth. I was already in uncontrollable pain while we headed for the hospital.
Arrival to Hospital : we reached the hospital before 5 am I could not even walk well anymore for 20 seconds on my own without help, contractions were extremely close my labour was like that of an angry lion,The nurse mentioned something about me having dry labour or so because the water didn't break till I was fully dilated, at every contraction I felt like peeing or pooping, I will signal my husband and point toilet he will take me there I'll pee and poo and vomit sometimes..I was shouting down the whole environment. The nurse checked me but didn't tell me exactly how many cm dilated I was she would smile and say you are doing well, dilating so fast for a first timer, she helped me emptied my bowel and the real wahala began. Time to push came, I thought it was going to be like other mother's here that will say " at three pushes their babies where out" I pushed and pushed and pushed more than 20 times infact I got weak and the gave me drip to ginger me small, infact it got so bad that if they say push madam I'll start sleeping. The nurses started praying at some point and telling me who do I want to leave my baby for, because I told them I was tired and I don't know what to do anymore. The senior nurse was praying for me all through, half part of my baby's head was outside for like 2 hours I didn't know, they were telling me that your baby is trying pls help this baby I thought they were just lying to encourage me, untill one of the nurses prayed for me and told me to touch the hair on my baby's head for myself so I'll know that the stage I am in now is not a time to give up. Before then I called my pastor and was shouting and panting heavily, he prayed for me till my airtime finished. Immediately I touched the baby's hair I was elated, and one kind of energy from nowhere entered me, the nurses said madam, it is time push this child like there is no tomorrow, I held his hair and made a prayer " God me and this boy have gone to far to end in a way that won't glorify your name, come out of me you this child now now" the nurse gave me a cut ( she politely said madam should I cut you at first o refused letar I agreed, she cut me. That is before I made the prayer o, despite the cut the head still hook) after the prayer I pushed as instructed for like 3 times, the head just came out in full piaaaaaaaa, oh my God I could not believe it, the nurses were almost shouting for joy, they said don't stop madam fire on, na so I fire on o, the baby came out. He was so weak and changing color, he was beaten for a while, he didn't cry for like 3 hours, if they beat him he will shake small and stop, I started praying and calling the tribal name we chose for him, I declared alot of good things for him and I was no longer afraid that anything will happen to him. After like some time he started crying and his voice started coming out till he became cry cry baby for the whole night. They injected him immediately due to the way his body was changing I guess. At some point I wished for CS ( though I didn't say it out) but for some reasons best know to the nurses and doctor that came around they said I was doing very well for a first timer and I don't need CS my ears could not believe what it heard, I just zeroed my mind and said it is either I do it or I do it , no giving up o.
I knew it was not ordinary because immediately we entered the month of may I started having series of bad dreams, different people coming to force me to tell them my EDD in my dreams o, I'll fight with some of them and chase them till they used the face of a very close relative and I mentioned the exact EDD to the person in my dream, I was mad with prayers when I woke up. I delivered at 40 weeks and two days.
God alone be praised because this pregnancy was given to me by God, my husband and I work in different locations and when he's around sometimes I won't be in my fertile period and sometimes even with ovulation test kit I won't see any positive result until the last he came, one week to his arrival I dreamt and my pastor called my name in a dream and said take your baby and I could not collect the baby because my hands were closed in the dream, he said no that is not how to carry you baby open your hands immediately I opened it and he handed a baby over to me, I had faith met him physically and told him he prayed for me and said oya take your baby, hope your husband will come around soon, I await your testimony. Na so e happen o..I pray for all mamas trying to conceive the same God that did it for us all has done it for you Exodus 23:26 said we will not miscarry and no woman will be without a child so you all must carry your babies as God helped me carried mine.

To God be the glory, great things he hath done. The whole 9months journey was testimony filled.

I got pregnant without knowing because am not expecting pregnancy atall, I only do feel stomach pain and ll b confuse because it's not yt time for my period. I use salt and water bt it didn't go instead am always hungry and got me confuse more; hubby ask me to go buy Andrew liver salt maybe it ll go bt instead I went to buy bicham( I blv mayb my stomach is dirty) and pregnancy test. I used d bicham once den use d test stripe and pim, na positive.

The journey begins, couldn't sleep overnight, back pain, vomiting if drink water or eat food; was still not using any drug, was told to buy pregnacare plus by my sister but I was like, this expensive drug every month; my boss gave me calcium and ferrous and told me to buy folic acid with it but neither did I buy nor use it but do buy fruit once in a while to eat. I can carry and lift anytyn carriable and liftable, nobody kuku know am pregnant yt.
Fast forward to 2nd/3rd month, I buy folic acid laslas and started taken but anytym I use it, I must vomit, attyms I vomit blood self but I didn't bother going to hospital because I blv it's part of d package then I stopped d folic too.
Finally register at 5months+ nd at 6months, a scan shows I av small fibroid and cramps began but sincerely I was not worried because I just keep holding my tummy and ll say it's not mine so fibroid get out, went to complain at the hospital and was told it's false labour wen it's not yt time/the fibroid causing pain, was given injection and paracetamol bt didn't go o, went back again nd was given cocoderm and dis work for d pain

Second trimester(frm 6month+) was smooth with little or no pain and coming to third trimester, it started smoothly but ended with pain and swollen legs at 9months.

Everybody at work was telling me to go for leave because of stress and my swollen legs but I was like I use work as part of my exercise and don't want my leave to b wasting when av not gvn birth, but I keep telling my boss and pikin that I want June and don't want May atall, will even tell d baby to please wait till June 1 and he hear ooo.

Fast forward to delivery day, was out of d house since 5am on Monday, May 30th bt getting to Ajah traffic(if U r conversant with Ajah road), I came down before the bridge and trek to VGC with hubby just to beat the traffic, faced chevron traffic again b4 I finally get to work o with bladder wey don full.
In the midnight, 31st, naso water break ooo. I just feel asif am bedwetting and urine keep coming to the extent that sis gave me bucket to be urinating inside since hubby sleep at work then I message my boss that I suspect my water broke so I won't make it down to work, called hubby severally but didn't pick up, called my elder sis who's still a bit near and she was like we ll go to hospital when it's 4am, I told then 4am is too near because am not feeling any pain. We finally left for the hospital around 7am and got to MCC Abraham Adesanya around afta 10am(Lagos traffic plus vehicle spoil for road).
Getting to hospital and was checked, OS is still close and no contraction but water is dripping already. The Dr write to sumtin membrane on my card and was tellin her colleague dat it remain 2hrs for dem to c if I ll av pain else dere's sumtin dey ll put under my tongue to induce labour. 2hrs came and go without anytyn,, I ask hubby to buy me pineapple so I can take and I did that with warm water; naso this pain start o. On checking, the Dr was like she didnt understand my cervix o, internal is open while external is close; was having serious labour contraction yt cervix didn't open(meanwhile, mum has always been telling me to ask dem if na male bone I get bcs I ct deliver on my own if na male bone BT dey ll kip telling me dat labour ll determine). The contraction became stronger and stronger and pain increase to tyms 8 of 10� and naso I dey shout mercy of God dey shout help me now, dey shout poo poo ooo, dem go say no b poopoo and I ll tell dem am serious na real poo poo no b fake one etc. Later a male Dr came(God ll kuku bless the guy for me), he check my virginal and said he's nt sure I can deliver myself, another female Dr came and said same, go call dere oga patapata and said same, they call it a name which I ct even remember because I was in serious pain, meanwhile, my mum is still calling nd still picking her calls and she ll kip shouting gv dem fone or tell dem to do CS.
As dat my favorite male Dr said we ll do CS for U so call ur husband, husband wey we call don leave my sis wit me to go to work, I jt tell dem dat my sis ll do d signing and buy all necessary tins(thank God av funded her account already incase anytyn apen), hubby later came and dey do all necessary tins, was wheel down to the theatre room and I keep telling dem gv me dat injection dat U said ll stop the fast fast b4 the pain start again, the Dr was like calm down, we r on it. I receive d first injection at my back and sum Dr were at d front fixing tins already and I kip telling dem I want to slip because av nt slept for 2days now, as them gv the third injection, ntin like pain o and d next tin I heard was a baby cry. Infact dey r still doing oda tins like checking if bp, talking abt drugs wen I heard d cry and was like who's baby is crying; one of d Dr jt joke at me and say sebi na she carry Belle cum insyd nw and was gvn my bundle of joy placed on my chest, naso I tell d baby am sorry for stressing you den started sleeping.

Not easy as a FTM takn care of pikin in a general hospital after CS because dey won't help do anytyn except for bathing of baby, only few of dere nurse ll attend to you well and nobody is allowed to stay to stay except to go and cum back bt God is takn control. Ct wait to be release from here nd lemme go sleep well at home while MIL take charge.

We came yesterday after she complained of heavy pains only for Dr to say she just 2cm dilated. We couldn’t sleep all through the night because of the pains.

Well, we are back again this morning and she’s been inside the labor room for almost 20mins. I hope it ends in praise not another come back tomorrow.

This thing is not east AT ALL!!! Today will make it her 41st week of pregnancy. As I’m typing this my heart dey run 240km/secs.

JUNE ROLL CALL!

June is finally here!!!! The long awaited June is finally here!! Happy new month everyone. May this month be a month of joy and laughter for all of us ijn.

This journey seemed far, but we kept on pushing, with joy, with tears, with happiness, the day of strength, the day of no strength, finally we are here. Father Lord, we thank you for the journey thus far because it is not by our power nor might that we have come to the month of our supernatural delivery but for your mercy and favor that you have shown us, accept our thanksgiving in Jesus mighty name.

I say a big congratulations to all of us team June, e no easy buy here we are, our testimonies shall be permanent and people shall rejoice with us in Jesus mighty name.
I believe our hospital bags must have been packed and ready in preparation for the arrival of our little ones by now. Please let's also endeavor to put things in other, like finalizing our leave(for both civil and private employees), start exercising for easy delivery and oh yes we can now eat fruits and foods that aids easy birth( like eating pineapple, dates, zobo, drinking ewedu or okra) whether it works or not I don't think there's harm in trying it.

There shall be no loss amongst us ijn, we shall all go into the labor room and come out alive and with our babies alive too IJN, we shall all come back to share our beautiful BA's and BS ijn, none shall be found wanting or missing among us ijn. Our delivery shall be easy, short and painless IJN.

First time mamas like me, please no dulling o, when u see signs of labor, better to go to hospital and get checked and sent back home to come later than to sit at home and be forming pro.
Tohhan please let's hear from you. How is it going? The lord is your strength and you shall share your testimony ijn . Yaaaayyy nah u wan open floor for us o
