Hello Mama's , Can someone give birth at 36weeks and does it affect the baby in anyway?

Shebi dey say 36weeks is a preterm birth not a full term baby,some gave birth at 34weeks base on some complications and baby is fine..

Baby born @36weeks will still be fine nd healthy..

So depending on why baby is coming early..

Good afternoon mamas, having my 2nd child after 7years and the symptoms are crazy, I don't even know if it is normal. I always have this sharp pain on one side of my back (left hand side of my waist/back), stomach ache each time I wake up (morning, afternoon, night as long as I sleep, I must wake with the pain), if feels like period cramps sometimes, I stooling and scared to take flagyl, always very cold at night, catarrh every night to the point whereby I start feeling I am not getting enough oxygen with my mouth, I am so tired I don't even know how to describe my tiredness, the saliva is so much that I end up vomiting if I try to swallow (tired of going to the bathroom), my appetite is almost non-existent and I am barely 4 weeks gone from my calculation (last period started 29th of may and ended 2nd of June).

I didn't experience all these with my first pregnancy, it was so smooth I didn't even understand what morning sickness is, are all these symptoms normal? Is it too much? Is something wrong? Me sef tire

Mine was cramps like very painful one,I had to go scan and confirm if its ectopic pregnancy ,I can't even stand up..

I tnk all those u re experiencing re morning sickness,pregnancy shaa different,no be how u experience first u will experience in second..

And again just go to hospital and register for antenatal complain everything to ur doc too and start taking prenatals

Wow thank God dear, God will surely perfect all that is left therein. As for oda method as to aid labour. My doctor said I shud start trekking and squatting by holding on to the arm rest of a chair that's a bit high as if u want to poo and count to ten twice.Did both yesterday its working at a point I cudnt walk cos of the strong contraction. And it was as if by squatting I felt like the baby is dropping with it.

The squatting nd standing up back no go be child's play oo..

Just got back from registering my Dear wife for ante natal,on getting home we discovered the EDD date was further by 4 Days, initial reading 4 weeks ago was January 6 2023 but today's scan showed Jan 10 2023,and from our calculation she's supposed to be 13wks already by now,is there any cause for alarm or I'm just been paranoid??

Nothing to worry about Sir,follow LMP date,that is the real one..scan date changes all the time,if you go nd redo scan next4weeks again,it will still change.

I was a fish before I took in. Now I have to force myself and remind my self that my LO needs it more than I do before I can drink. If it's all these useless drinks now that come in different colours and sizes, if not for disciple and the fear of Our Lord, na for crate we for dey drink am but buy carton of water drop here now, e don turn looking competition..

If to say na sweet drink ,some of us will be taking two bottles a day..

My fellow pusher's try and be drinking water,I mean drink water very well..

Yesterday i noticed I wasn't in the mood of drinking water nd I was even reluctant and it,i didn't take enough,later the kind braxton hicks I felt ehn abi na contraction be that one asif its time for baby to come..

Until i decided to take enough water nd it stopped..

If you can't drink sachet pure water try bottle water,put in your freezer let it cold well well..

Nothing is wrong in drinking cold water..

The idea is let water enter ur belle..

After trekking I kukuma buy roasted corn and coconut dey eat for junction so tey hubby pass I no know. Oga con vex say make I swear say I no see am I just dey chew my corn oo con tell am shebi na night how I go use see u

I gave birth to my princess on the 3rd of June through an emergency CS... EDD from LMP was supposed to be 13th July

Everything about my pregnancy was going so well for me (no morning sickness, no vomiting, no spitting and so on). I was just feeling like a baby girl till around 31 weeks or thereabout when I had that pain above my stomach that couldn't allow me sleep... It subsided and came back after about 2 weeks, it was so severe I rushed to a health center close to me to complain and after some tests they said it was ulcer... They also said I had malaria and typhoid... I was given antibiotics injections and drugs with malaria injections and some prenatals... The pain went but I noticed that I became so weak with serious pain on my lap and calf when I try to get up or sit.
I went for my antenatal and when they checked my vitals they noticed I had developed high blood pressure with protein in my urine... I was given drugs for it and asked to come the next week to check again.. When I returned the next week it was still there and that was how I was referred to a general hospital to go and get the baby out immediately... They said it was a sign of preeclampsia which was a big risk for mother and child...
Mehn... My heart cut... I was like how?.. Is that how they use to just go and get baby out?... That was how me and my husband went to another hospital to go and get another opinion...
We got there and gave the referral letter and explained... The doctor said that the hospital was actually right.. He said they'll perform their own test and if it comes out same, they'll have to get the baby out to save our lives... I was admitted that day and they carried out a scan and some tests including liver function and kidney.. I was asking myself what I was doing there because I had no symptom of anything.. I felt very fine and strong... Results were out the next day.. No damage to kidneys and liver but I still had high blood pressure and protein in the urine, infact it increased sef...
Everything just started happening so fast..
The next thing I knew, they were screaming that they had to carry out the delivery immediately, they were like "this baby should have been out since yesterday".. That was how they gave us drugs to go and buy and bills to pay for the delivery and other things... They gave me injections and drugs.. There was one particular injection that was so painful, I cried as they were injecting me (till now those spots in my bum is still swollen and painful when pressed)..... That was how I saw myself being wheeled to the theatre o (in my mind I was like wetin dey happen sef, for crying out loud I'm very fine).. The operation was carried out and my baby came out weighing 1.3kg at 34weeks (that was too small for her gestational age, I guess the BP restricted her growth). She was taken to the NICU and placed in the incubator with oxygen and stuff... She stayed in the NICU for 2 weeks and some days.. The whole delivery process and aftermath was painful and traumatic for me..
Throughout her stay in the NICU, I went to the hospital everyday to spend some hours and give them my expressed breast milk to feed her. They didn't allow me touch her till after about a week when they said I had to start doing KMC with her.. She was so tiny I was even scared of holding her so I won't hurt her.. She finally came home last week weighing 1.4kg. She's very strong and healthy, the only thing is just for her to add weight.. I pray she adds more rapidly than expected.

Errmm... Remember the scan I did said it was a male.. Well.. it was wrong, the baby turned out to be a beautiful girl..

Meanwhile I was planning to resign from my work place by the end of July when I'll commence my maternity leave following the advice of some mamas here to take off from 36weeks. Now the funny thing that happened yesterday 29/6/2022 was that I received a promotion letter o with almost double of my current salary with effect from this July that's starting tomorrow. (Promotion I've been expecting since 2019 before I got married sef and it refused to come).
Right now, ayam confused o. Don't know if to accept the new position and enjoy increased pay or to re-unite with my husband from the maternity leave and enjoy my young family. The matter tire me. I have till 1st July to accept or decline the new position.

The only thing I battle with is eating. I have never been a foodie because I be correct FitFam lady but since I got preggy, it has been food.

Do u tie cloth on your tummy,I do tie wrapper on my belly after birth during day time and in the night i remove to sleep.

It may work or might not work for you..

It works for me after birth tho me I get flat tummy naturally.

Hmm mamas did my clinical pelvimetry today,doc have shook hand inside hubby palace ooo. Am having slight stomach tightening don't know if it's contractions ,doc is expecting baby latest first week of July ooo. Was given castor oil to drink at moderation and keep him updated.

She should look out for Contractions that doesn't stop,mucus plug or her water will break..

When we have penicillin and Vaseline,some Doc or Nurse sef will tell u not to apply anything,just air the place or lay him in a warm and water when baffing

me and his dad tie his leg with rope separate separate so that he won't touch the wound, omo the type of bitter cry he let out ehn, we loose it sharp sharp. Thanks for these tips.. we wore diapers for him and I lay him on my chest and luckily he is now sleeping
