What a JOKE….two people from the Southern part of the country ruling NIGERIA?
You expect the Northerners to be dozing while this happens? Hell would freeze over before that happens in Nigeria. Wake Up man! grin grin

We better open our eyes and go back to it!
Understudy the system in places like China with more than 1 billion people but you never hear of rancor or in-fighting when choosing their leaders. Time to change course from the Dem-All-Crazy of the West. They themselves do not even believe in it…that’s why Donald Trump is shouting FRAUD all over the place. Feintline:
I totally disagree.
Tinubu's case is the consequences of descrating the land in his desperate quest to grab power.

I decided to just seat and watch. Nothing happening comes as a suprise. I warned here severally of the consequences of tinubu desecrating the land and removing the ancient landmark of the fathers in his desperate quest for power but it fell on deaf ears.

I warned here severally that tinubu has triggered a curse on the land with his desecrations.

I warned here severally that nothing tinubu will do will make sense no matter who he appoints because of the curse he triggered in his quest for power.

The dearth in the land is not about tinubu as a person.
It is about what was done for tinubu to grab power.

We must repair the desecrations for our nation to have a hope of revival.
All the desecrators from tinubu executive arm to the legislature and judiciary must be patrotic enough to get out, so as to repair the damage.
Every person who had a hand or benefited from removing the ancient landmark of the land to usher in this unparalled dearth in the nation should be patrotic and sacrificial enough to do the right thing . The Country is bleeding profusely

Politics / Re: Day Of Rage Protest: Sowore Releases 14 Key Demands From Tinubu by shinealight(m): 1:46pm On Jul 25
Some of these demands are so ridiculous and would be considered laughable if the matter was not so serious!
Do you wake up one morning and just abrogate the 1999 Constitution, cancel the Senate and send everybody home to work on part-time basis?
Why didn’t Sowore organise his Protest to Free Kanu while Buhari was there? ….after all, it was Buhari who went to kidnap him from Kenya and sent him back to Court to argue his case.
Most of the demands are simply POLITICAL ….a case of Sowore wanting to get Power that he couldn’t get legitimately through the Ballot Box in 2019 & 2023. He’s free to try again in 2027 though….but he should put his thinking cap on and realise this is different from his Student days’ Activism. Politics / Re: Makinde: Paying ₦‎70,000 Minimum Wage Won't Be Too Challenging by shinealight(m): 3:54pm On Jul 21
If it is ‘No Stress’ for Makonde to pay N70k as he claims, he should understand that the word ‘Minimum’ gives All Governors and even the central Govt the latitude to pay more, where they can afford to.
They do not all have to go for the minimum. Minimum means MINIMUM.
Regardless of the new Law, any State Govt, Parastatal or organisation is at liberty to elect to adopt even N250k as its minimum, if it so chooses and can afford it! cool cool

If someone is in stack violation of the law, the common sense thing that should happen is for that person to be arrested and prosecuted for thoze illegal acts -- in this case he would need to be impeached first. The fact that I continue to point out the illegallity of the actions of the Governors means I expect common sense to come next. Use your brain. And please stop responding if you are going to continue projecting. undecided

Try to adequately reason the content of a post before responding. undecided

What you refer to as the status quo has been of illegal acts, violations of section 162 by your Governors for almost 25 years now that have been largely ignored by a population mostly ignorant of the details of their own Law. Now, to solve that illegality, rather than insist on the Law, your Supreme Court which is tasked with upholding the Constitution completely ignores it altogether to insist on another illegallity. How can that favor the people when the ones who continue to benefit are instead your politicians? undecided

Does it make sense for people like you to seek to maintain the Status Quo (which is demonstrably an illegality) simple because your IMAGINATION suggests to YOU and ONLY YOU and your co-travellers that the SUPREME COURT OF THE LAND may be introducing another illegality.
What makes you think you’re wiser than the Supreme Court Justices?
Politics / Re: Let The Third Tier Breathe: Implications Of The Supreme Court Verdict - Onanuga by shinealight(m): 9:53am On Jul 17
Kobojunkie:
Onanuga is a liar! This is an attempt to play on the intelligence of the notably gullible Nigerian people to justify the hijacking of power and control over the LGs by the FG itself by way of a supreme court ruling that equally violates Section 162. This is an attempt to use an illegal move to try to rectify another illegal move, of course, to grant greater power in the democracy to the FG. undecided

Section 162 does not give power and control over LG and LG Funds to the State Governors. Rather, the rogue Governors have been taking advantage of the LGs thanks in no way to the corrupt and inept government as well as the populace who have been asleep at the wheels of their democracy. undecided

Your comment in bold is nothing but balderdash! undecided
Talking about Section 162, are you claiming to be more knowledgeable or wiser than the Supreme Court Justices?
If you realise that the State Governors have been bearing down on the LG Administrations and stealing funds meant for them, shouldn’t we rejoice that someone with balls has introduced legislation to clip their wings and allow the LGs to breathe?
Why must you wish for the status quo to remain merely because you think the FG wants more power….more power to do what exactly? Your reasoning is totally illogical and ridiculous! cool cool

It is only applicable when the federal government stops controlling the resources of the states. No governor will implement it and nothing will happen. Most African countries have very weak institutions.

Truth is …the Obidient Movement is a sectional agitation (with a tint of IPOB support) geared towards the attainment of a President of Ibo extraction.
EndSars itself was later turned into a sectional political agitation….hence, Nnamdi Kanu could be heard shouting on video that the rioters should Kill, Kill , Kill them All. Burn Lagos Down!! cool cool

The question now, some are saying Tinubu saved or helped Atiku but Atiku is saying he helped Tinubu and he went ahead to reeled out how they formed AC and those that formed it. You people should try and understand topic, this is how some of you fail exam. Mingling 2007 with 2014, you're lost.

Nigeria is just like America…they may have dividing tendencies (Republicans against Democrats, etc.) but they cannot break up because the consequences would be dire and unimaginable….husbands turning against wives, brothers against sisters, etc.

God1blessBiafra:

So you people bring nothing to the table.

Anyway I love how you are honest about wanting one Nigeria because of resources not because it good being one.

Every Region or Tribe has something that they bring to the table but Nigeria is a developing country in which many of the available resources are yet to be fully tapped and exploited. It does not mean that others bring nothing to the table. When the country operated Regional government, every region had something to bring to the table and things worked fine until the military struck!
As of this moment, Oil is the main resource that every part of the Nation depends upon. Gold may be discovered in abundance in Benue State tomorrow or other minerals may be discovered in the South West tomorrow in sufficient quantities to feed the entire nation, then they can all tap into that to feed everybody. That is what being Your Brother’s Keeper is all about.
A section of the country should not plan to run away with what can feed the entire country….that is nothing but self-centredness, selfishness and short-sightedness!
As for what is good and desirable that you wrote about, imagine your sister wanting to marry her sweetheart whom she loves very much (that’s good and desirable) but if the guy is broke or a scrounger, that wouldn’t help put food on the family table, neither will it assist her in sending her junior ones to school if that assistance is needed.
So, what is good or desirable is not always what is best all round for all concerned! Think about that. Goodbye! cool
