yinkus4u2c:God, i pity who marries you dear. your shallowness is legendary |
AyokunleRuth:if I value you so much as to show it in every way or anyway, saying it becomes as involuntary as blinking my eyes, so that's not an excuse. If you can show it, you can say it. |
AyokunleRuth:really serious... |
this might seem a bit cray or stupid, but i attach so much importance to it. Guys how do you react or feel if you keep saying 'I LOVE YOU' and she says nothing or just smile? i started loosing feelings and having second thoughts about my relationship with my ex when i found out that for more than 8 months, i will tell her that four later word and she'll just be smilling without saying shii back. the feelings i lost for her and the doubt was so huge that it contributed 70 percent to our breakup.. be sincere please |
I was on my way to Ojota from Oshodi in a yellow bus a.k.a Danfo bus. There were so many things so different about this bus. While the conductor was beckoning on me to join their bus, I noticed he didn’t look like the other conductors hanging at their doors croaking Ooo…joooo…ta aaa (Ojota). He wore a pair of canvass, his t-shirt had a drawing of Obama with a bold inscription across it “yes we can.” When I boarded the bus, I noticed the interior was so clean. The seats were also clean and padded unlike most Danfo buses I have boarded in Lagos. I sat directly behind the driver. The front seats were already occupied. At Oshodi Bridge the two occupants of the front seats alighted; I quickly alighted and jumped into the front seat. I was shocked, though pleasantly, when I heard what the driver was playing. He was playing one of my favourite motivational speakers, Earl Nightingale. I couldn’t believe I was listening to Earl Nightingale’s Direct line in a Danfo bus. “This is going to be a good day” I told myself. I glanced at the driver, he looked like he was lost in thoughts as Earl continued to marshal out some vital life’s points. I got the driver’s attention and the following conversation ensued… Me: Oga, you are listening to Earl Nightingale Driver: Yes please Yes please from a Danfo driver? I must be in a deep slumber. Me: you like Earl? Driver: Yes. He is one of my favourites. I listen to Earl up till 10am every day before I change the cd. I was so impressed. I was so happy to listen to this young man talk. I decided to push more. Me: So why Danfo bus? The young man laughed so heartily, cleared his voice and began his story. Driver: There is nothing much to say. It is the state of the nation. Me: Are you enjoying it. Driver: Yes. I am having fun. Me: Really? Driver: You look shocked. Why? Me: I am just wondering what is there to be enjoyed Driver: Well, it is not easy on the roads; however, I am enjoying this experience. Me: Wow. Driver: Anyway, it is a long story. But to cut the long story short, this is not what I originally set out to do. However, when the job was not forth coming, I decided to take the bull by the horn. So this is the bull and I will say I am comfortably manning the horns. Me: What course did you read? Driver: I read Education. Me: You didn’t want to teach? Driver: I did. I taught for two years in a private primary school. Me: So why did you quit? Driver: The take home pay wasn’t really taking me home. I chuckled at the way he said “the take home pay wasn’t really taking me home.” Me: So why did you say you are enjoying this job? The mad traffic, crazy drivers, annoying passengers and all? Driver: Every business has it downside. Those are ours. The challenge is in finding satisfaction and profitability in whatever you set out to do. Meanwhile our conversation was constantly disrupted by the conductor who kept reminding him of the bus stops passengers intended to alight and the request for ‘change’. The driver also told me he has two more buses and a football viewing centre in his area. The conductor that was working with him that day is his brother. He joins him whenever he is free. “When he is not around, I go with other boys, but I insist my conductors dress neatly and on no occasion abuse my passengers. Although most of the boys that work with me stay in my neighbourhood.” I was stunned!

wow. nice |
To me,These idiots aren't strong, Nigeria is just bloody weak and corrupt. If a group of murderous morons like these guys popped up in the USA they'd be destroyed in minutes. Nigerian leaders are a joke, and our military is an even bigger joke |
Nigeria's militant Islamist group Boko Haram is waging the most brutal insurgency in Africa. It has seized vast amounts of territory, threatening Nigeria's territorial integrity and opening a new frontier by targeting neighbouring Cameroon. Officials estimate that some three million people are affected by the humanitarian crisis caused by the five-year insurgency in the north-east. line Why are the militants so lethal? The group is said to be split into numerous factions, which operate largely autonomously across northern and central Nigeria. The International Crisis Group (ICG) think-tank estimates there are six of them - the most organised and ruthless one is in Borno state, where Boko Haram has captured large swathes of territory. Burnt houses in Baga after a Boko Haram attack - Nigeria, 2013 It first sends hundreds of foot-soldiers into a town or village. Often overwhelmed due to inadequate supplies, the Nigerian army flees, paving the way for elite militant fighters to enter and conquer the territory. This is a remarkable change in its fortunes. Soon after Boko Haram launched its insurrection in 2009, Nigeria's security forces declared victory over the group after killing thousands of its members - including its founder - during an operation in the city of Maiduguri. Some survivors fled to Algeria, Somalia - and possibly Afghanistan - for military training. Today the group is increasingly brutal in its modus operandi, losing the support, some analysts say, of many local Muslims who once saw it as offering an alternative to the corrupt ruling elite. line How does it recruit fighters? Increasingly through conscription - villagers are forced to join en masse or risk being slaughtered. It is also relying on criminals and thugs, "paying them for attacks, sometimes with a share of the spoils", according to the ICG. Muslims pray at Maiduguri Central Mosque in Nigeria - 2012 With ethnic loyalties strong in Nigeria, most Boko Haram fighters are Kanuri - the ethnic group to which the group's leader Abubuakar Shekau belongs - suggesting that he has influence over some traditional rulers in north-eastern Nigeria. While it is unclear how many fighters Boko Haram has, UK-based finance and security analyst Tom Keatinge puts the number at more than 9,000. line Where does it get its money from? When Boko Haram raids towns, it often loots banks. In 2012, the Nigerian military accused Boko Haram of extorting money from businessmen, politicians and government officials, and threatening them with abduction if they fail to pay up. A poster displayed along the road shows photograph of Imam Abubakar Shekau, leader of the militant Islamist group Boko Haram, declared wanted by the Nigerian military - Maiduguri, Nigeria, 1 May 2013 Some US officials estimate that the group is paid as much as $1m (£660,000) for the release of a wealthy Nigerian, Mr Keatinge says. With foreigners, the amount is much higher - Boko Haram was paid $3m ransom for the release of a French family of seven seized in northern Cameroon in February 2013, according to a Nigerian government document seen by Reuters news agency at the time. With these sources of funding, Mr Keatinge estimates that Boko Haram's annual net income is $10m. Nigerian researcher Kyari Mohammed believes the group is running a low-cost insurgency, as it is made up mostly of young people from rural areas. line How does it arm itself? Boko Haram has overrun many police stations and military bases in Nigeria, giving it a huge arsenal - including armoured personnel carriers, pickup trucks, rocket-propelled grenades and assault rifles. And, according to the ICG, it has forged ties with arms smugglers in the lawless parts of the vast Sahel region. An armoured vehicle recaptured from Boko Haram, Maiduguri, Nigeria - Wednesday 17 September 2014 Some of its weapons are suspected to have come from Libya, where arms depots were looted when Colonel Muammar Gaddafi's regime was overthrown in 2011. However, most of Boko Haram's bombs are relatively crude, made from local materials that are easy and cheap to obtain, the ICG says. Some of its bomb-makers, according to Nigeria-based security analyst Bawa Abdullahi Wase, are local university graduates who joined the group in desperation, after failing to find jobs. And it has recently raided cement factories, including one owned by the French company Lafarge, in search of dynamite for its explosive devices. line Can it be defeated? An army commander in Borno state, Nigeria - 2013 The government declared a state of emergency in 2013 in the three north-eastern states worst-affected by the insurgency. The military also armed vigilante groups, vital in remote areas where the military presence is minimal. Boko Haram was driven from Maiduguri and neighbouring villages and into the vast Sambisa forest along the border with Cameroon. But the sect responded with a new offensive in which - according to the Associated Press news agency - it has taken control of an area about the size of Belgium. Map Three states are under a state of emergency If Boko Haram succeeds in its territorial ambitions - seizing towns in Niger, Chad and Cameroon, as its leader has threatened - the conflict could take on a new international dimension. France is likely to become more directly involved in the conflict to protect its former colonies. So far Cameroon has been relatively successful in repelling Boko attacks, despite having a far smaller army than Nigeria, which has been criticised for not pulling its weight. line Is Boko Haram linked to IS? Mr Shekau praised Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in a video released last year, referring to him as "Oh caliph". He has also praised al-Qaeda's Ayman al-Zawahiri, the IS leader's rival for the loyalty of worldwide jihadists. However, Shekau has not pledged allegiance to either group. Boko Haram's leader taken from a video released by the group in October 2014 While he often speaks in a mix of Hausa, Arabic and Kanuri, his most recent video - where he praised the Paris attacks - was entirely in Arabic, leading analysts to suggest the Nigerian sect is seeking international appeal. Solid ties with global jihadi groups would give further momentum to Boko curled from BBC.COM

omenka:. I wish they will come back to these BRTs at mid tenure and ask the people one on one "how is my government doing" |
deife:I tried last night bro. Its not just yielding anything. Once my mum says NO, it will take TB joshua himself to make her change her mind. And its not even as if my bro is still dating the other girl. |
I really dnt know how to put the title better. on the first of january 2014, me and my brother were at the beach when we met these two hot ladies. They were alone at their corner and my elder brother suggested we make a move, I was in the mood for fun that day, so I agreed, we approached them and they were friendly, they introduced themselves as sisters. To cut the long story short, they knew what we were up to so they just saved us the stress and said "NO" me being a gentleman, I just stood up and left, my brother followed me afterwards, it felt like a total Bleep up sha. Fast forward a week from tht day and I met the older one again at my street, I recognized her immediately and walked up to her, we chatted for some time and we exchanged numbers. It didn't take long before we started dating. At first it was just a normal date cos I didn't love her. I didn't knw tht my brother was also dating her younger sister already,( how he met her and when they hit it off, I never knew) when her elder sister found out (my GF) she said she couldn't continue, that she and her sister can't date same brothers. We separated but my brother continued with her sister, she would visit our house from time to time after then and my parents knew her. They broke up after about three months. I didn't see my ex again until july last year at a summit in lag, when I saw her, something was different about her, or should I say me. I invited her to my place and we had a drink, she slept over that night (and you guys knw wht followed)...... We both knew that my brother wasn't with her sister anymore so we rekindled the old stuff, but this time we were really in love, I couldn't go a day without seeing or calling her, we've been fine since then until she visited our house last week. I introduced her to my parents as my GF, they liked her tho, but after that day, my mum started making inquiries about her and her family. It didn't take long before she found out that my brother once dated her younger sister. Now my mum doesn't want to see her anymore, calling her all sorts of name, ranging from irresponsible to the most demeaning words you can think of. She wants us to break up. But I won't allow that. My dad seems to take her side too. I really don't know what to do. So far I haven't told my GF yet cos I don't knw wht her reactions would be like. I can't and don't really want to lose her again. We are very compatible, and love each other. I really need your advice on this one guys pls. Do you guys think its an issue? |
todayguest:what did GeJ acheive as a governor in bayelsa? Your begining speaks volume. |
SirShymex:damn that's so bleeped up big time. Crazy life. Sorry bout ur friend man. |
Well said. Buhari is a no nonsense man and that's why the corrupt Nigerians don't want him there. Take a depper look at things an you will knw that those clamouring for GEJ are those directly or indirectly benefiting at the expense of the country. Buhari and GEJ is just like the case of the army and the police. The people tend to behave when the army is around or handling a case and runs lose when the police is around..let's give this man a chance for once bikonu. |
BokoHaramm:hope u dnt get banned cos of ur name tho |
;DOp Are u tryna set up dates? If not, this is a stupid thread, but I think safarigirl is my NL crush sha, except say she don marry.. |

I dnt understand all this fuss about nigerian ladies again o. If a guy genuinely loves a lady and he's lucky enough that the lady loves him back, there's always a way he can satisfy her without spending much. Looking at obama and michelle in the pix above, its just obvious that they love each other genuinely and most probably share same visions. They are two learned people in a relationship trying to achieve something together, more like team spirit. Money or no money, if there's a vision, there's always a way to achieve it, even quicker when you have an understanding and supportive partner. |
