FighterPilot: Lady how about if you make an appointment with a psychiatrist to check whether your brain function well or not. I told you that you will be wrong in 99% of probabilities. What if we shift the date to 3rd or 4th of January 2005, so will the same results remain? Nope.
So, to be certain that it will make four years at any day of 2005 you just have to read it from 2004. It will not make sense to put all your hopes on only one chance out of hundred chances. Gentleman,,the original post was Nov 2005-Feb 2008,,which I know that its 2yrs 3mnth.. all am trying to explain here is 2005-2008 is also 4years.,the same way it can be 3yrs&some months..its a reply to someones post of 2008-2005=3,,,that 1% probability of it being 4yrs is what am talking about.....about shifting date that's why i emphasized on 1-31„..31/12/08 ended at exactly 11:59:60 NOT 12:00 1/7/2009..that particular day had a leap sec.(61) instead of 60..... NO, I don't need a psychiatrist because my brain is in a perfect condition.... I am gaddam right,, with proof:: first with a date calculator which showed 4years and Now Wiki.. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leap_second

The Nigeria Immigration Service has received a total of 522 West African deportees from Garbon through the Calabar seaport.
The people were repatriated on board a travelers vessel, which had 13 crew members and 71 Nigerians, while other nationalities included 128 Malians, 87 from Burkina Faso, 57 Senegalese, those from Guinea and Togo were 41 each. Of those repatriated, 21 came from Benin Republic, 9 from Ghana and only 3 were Gambia nationals. The alleged illegal migrants claimed that the Government of Garbon meted out inhuman treatment to some of them despite showing proof of travel and resident permits.
One of the deportees from Oron Local Government Area in Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Victor Elijah told newsmen in Calabar: “I spent my life in Gabon. All my business is in Gabon. I travel out of Gabon to Dubai; my son and my wife I left them there, even my car. As I speak with you here, I have my card; I have my papers, which shows that I’m a Nigerian-Gabone.”
Kaaku, a 43 year old immigrant from Ghana, said “the authorities caught us and sent us back to our country. They kept us for days without food. Truly, we were apprehended because we did not have the relevant travel document. But, I left my child back there in Gabon.”
“We travelled out of our country to find means of survival in Gabon. They asked us to do our paper, but we could not do the paper. So, they arrested us. They regard us as animals. They don’t want any stranger in Gabon. They just repatriated us like animals”, said another Ghanaian immigrant, Masa’audu Adamu, who was engaged in the car wash business.
Transporting Migrants
In an interview with some journalists at the Calabar Port in Cross River State, South of Nigeria, the Comptroller of Command, Mrs. Funke Adeuyi said the migrants were deported due to their inability to present a valid travel document.
Mrs. Adeuyi said “usually migrants have three sources – country of source; country of transit and countries of origin. Probably, a lot of them left through the Calabar River, which is closer to Gabon and a great attraction to migrants. But, maybe the Gabonese Government does not have the funds to send them by air and resorted to send them on board a vessel ship, which is cheaper, so that they can transport them to their various countries”. According to the Cross River State Comptroller, transporting the migrants to their destinations or countries of origin was the sole responsibility of the Government of Gabon.
“We have been in diplomatic relations with Gabon prior to the arrival of these migrants. The Gabonese Government took sole responsibility for their transport to Nigeria and from Nigeria to their various countries”, she stated.
Colonel Moustapha Sarr, an attaché from the Senegalese Embassy in Nigeria, who was on ground to receive the deportees, said “we are here to receive our people. We are grateful to the Comptroller for the treatment given to our people. Nigeria has been kind to us and we are grateful for that. My country through the ministry of foreign affairs has made adequate arrangements to receive the migrants in Senegal”. 387 migrants would be leaving for their countries through Seme, the border between Nigeria and the Republic of Benin, while 64 Nigerians will ease out through Jibia border in Katsina State and all of them would be conveyed from Calabar in a total of 10 buses. According to the Nigeria Immigration Service, the arrival of the migrants was the second time the NIS was receiving deportees from Gabon. In June 23, 2015, the first batch of 590 migrants were from the West African region.

FighterPilot: Lady you have to count it from 2004 so that you can count the whole of 2005 to 2008 to get 4 years. Your accuracy will only be 1 out of 100 chances if you were to say that from 2005 to 2008 is 4 years and that would only be from the 1st of January 2005 to 31st December 2008. So, now what if we randomly choose the 2nd of January 2005, will the results remain the same? Nope, it will change everything and destroy all your argument since it will then have to extend to 2009 to make and complete 4years. shizzy7: well, I was using the 'calendar year' to calculate it and also thinking that extra one day in 2008 makes it exactly 4years...thus,1460days/365=4....,,,1/1/2005-1/1/2009 is 1,461days so the +1 day already cancels out 1/1/09.....but I get it now..,,, Though the 1st-1st is not always accurate such as 30th June 2015 which actually ended at 11:59:60 instead of 12:00 1/7/2015,, 'cos there was an extra second added called the "leap second". it was 61sec instead of 60sec (11:59:59)..,, Somehow,I think am right but guess what today is my birthday and am so happy so I admit that I was wrong.. 4Play: Perhaps, but you don't need independent auditors to know that those figures such as the $20bn claim defied logic and the most rudimentry test of plausibility. They were trotted out for their shock value at the time. It is why I made this comment a couple of months:
https://www.nairaland.com/2280767/missing-20-billion-what-sanusi#33172866
Does anyone seriously believe that such a sizeable amount of money is out there and we are having all these talk of belt tightening and going back to agriculture? Definitely they can't get $20b back...I guess you're saying that kind of amount of money can't be missing.. but I think if they are truthful about the audit they would find something and probably get some money.. One thing about those looted funds is that a sizeable amount goes into foreign banks & properties... but really we need to go back to agric. at least it will limit some of the things we import.. and could be another source of revenue to the govt. if we can export some farm produce.. A huge percent of our revenue is from oil which is wrong..,,, The audit is not just for the $20b but also for other departments.. |

jln115: I understand what your saying to!! If you include the whole 2005 and the whole 2008 then its 4 years(regardless if its a leap year or not, why you guys are arguing about leap years I don't understand), but that's not how you calculate how many years are between curtain years, you have to take the same day and month of each year. THUS from 2005 to 2oo8 is 3 years well, I was using the 'calendar year' to calculate it and also thinking that extra one day in 2008 makes it exactly 4years...thus,1460days/365=4....,,,1/1/2005-1/1/2009 is 1,461days/365.25=4 so the +1 day already cancels out 1/1/09.....but I get it now..,,, Though the 1st-1st is not always accurate such as 30th June 2015 which actually ended at 11:59:60 instead of 12:00 1/7/2015,, 'cos there was an extra second added called the "leap second". it was 61sec instead of 60sec (11:59:59)..,, Somehow,I think am right but I admit that I was wrong.. |

4Play: There is an angle that Nigerians, not to my surprise, are not examining. Remember that we heard and continue to hear about fantastical sums of money stolen by the GEJ government including, most famously from Sanusi, $20bn in an 18 month period. Think seriously about this, if GEJ's officials managed to steal such gigantic sums on a regular basis, then the change in government to a purpotedly honest regime should more than offset the fall in oil prices. To keep hearing that Nigeria's financial position remains in dire straits suggests either the new regime is no better than the old one, or that a lot of those looted sums trotted out were false. Is that not why they hired independent auditors,, to search for the money and other loopholes/irregularities.., |
