The population living above $10 a day in Ghana is 5.2M - Going by "then" Ghana's population of 31M, That is a whopping 17% of Ghana's population that lives above the means of $10 a day! You must be exceedingly obtuse to even come to such a conclusion, talkless of defending it. And Nigeria with 206M population only having 3.7M people living above $10 means; 1.7% is scarcely credible and unreal notwithstanding the intellectual status of the viewer!

The logic is already flawed, so bringing other nations is a nonstarter.

The list doesn't even make sense. It's impossible as it doesn't correspond with anything else we know. For example: Everything about the top 5 middleclass and the rich in Africa has always been in this order in terms of numbers:

SA
Egypt
Nigeria
Morocco
Kenya

So if that is the case, then it's impossible that Ghana would have the second highest middleclass number in Africa.

Population living above the $6.8 mean a day ( from the recent fair stat) — Ghana commands 79%. Simple math( 100-79 = 21) / 100 *30M = 6,300,000
Kenya (100 - 86 = 14)/100*48M = 6,720,000
Nigeria (100- 90 =10)/100*200M = 20, 000,000

Nigeria - 20M
Kenya - 6.7M
Ghana - 6.2M

That being said, Egypt's urbanization rate is 43%, and as I said, Ghana's urbanization rate is more than 50%. What is your argument on this? You can add Maldives, Mauritius, ... These are Nations with high Human development index in Africa! Both have lower Urbanization rates than Ghana.

Ghana urbanization rate is more than 50%. Worth mentioning that 45% are slums. The urbanization does not entirely mean development, especially to third-world countries- zoos like Ghana.
