Thank you Sir,
So is the N20 cost an addition to Riders fare, or out of Drivers Profit or out of Uber's Commission?
I think it was added to the fare from the trip details below. Let's check it together bro.
The fare was suppose to be N6336 but rounded it up to N6400.
I think it was taken from the extra money added to make it N6400.
I might be wrong though

I am sure that was what was agreed on the issue of Lagos state govt share on every trip at the last meeting with the Govt. Whether the implementation has started is what am not so sure of.

I don't do Uber, but someone posted that here early this year. A screen shot of Uber App showing an inclusion of N10/N20 (can't remember) in the breakdown of a trip fare details.
I will ask my drivers or any other person using Uber to confirm if it still happens.

Shollywendy1 is right bro.
Make your research again.
You should even know this with just common sense. (no insult).

Last year when I was quite active, anytime I checked my bonus earning at the end of the week, I always notice that my bonus earned that week is even more than Bolt's commission for that week. And they equally rolled out bonuses for riders.

If you do plus and minus of the bonuses bolt gives its riders and drivers every week, you'll know that they don't even taking in up to 50% of their 20% commission in a week. If they pay Lasg govt 10% it simply means they're operating at a loss.

I still remember clearly that they only pay 10% of the 20%. 20naira PA trip and the 25m annual fee.

I even heard it during the radio station Interview with the LASG officials and driver's rep then . The govt official did the breakdown . That was when I understood clearly but bloggers will just say 10% comission if checked on google

Its not wrong.

Bolt charges 20% per trip. Lasg owns 10% per trip. Out of that 20%, the govt owns half, 10%.

600m monthly is 300m to lasg govt.

"All operators of e-hailing taxi service must pay the state government 10 per cent service tax on each transaction paid by passengers to the operators"
Make enquiries but not from unreliable bloggers. You will understand how it is charged.
10% of the 20% commission charged on on every trip.
Anyway, that's not really important right now

Laughs out loud.

I knew there was never going to be a succinct fact based reply to the questions posed, but rather, a perambulation of permutations and thinly veiled ignorance presented as "reasons" why forumites cum ehailing drivers should not express their equal rights which includes posting of earnings for fun, or for whatever cogent or non cogent reason they may have for doing so.

If that's your only reason, I'm happy to inform you that, that singular reason is total bullshit.
The government doesn't need to view a thread on nairaland to inform their decisions. They are neither dumb nor stupid to allow policy decisions bothering on tax revenue to be decided by a few anonymous posters of earnings on nairaland.

Let's properly delve into facts.

Bolt has about 10,000 drivers. (You don't need to believe me, but if you had made your research, you'd have this information). Applying the 32.5% Nigerian unemployment rate to this figure simply means that 3,250 drivers out of 10,000 are currently out of work. Therefore, I'm very correct to opine that there are 6,750 active bolt drivers driving every week. Hang on to this, for I'm coming back to this info.

Are you aware that since August 20th 2020 that ehailing companies and drivers have been working under a new tax policy?

According to Part 4.1 subsection 5 of the document titled, ‘e-Hailing Taxi Operation’, all drivers must pay 10 per cent generated on every trip to the Lagos State Government

All operators of e-hailing taxi service must pay the state government 10 per cent service tax on each transaction paid by passengers to the operators,” the document partly read.
The new policy also mandates all e-hailing taxi firms to pay N25m yearly to the state government per 1,001 vehicles for an operational licence while they will pay N10m yearly for renewal on every 1, 001 cars in their pool

This implies that the state government will collect taxes, licensing fees and then a percentage from every trip completed on these platforms

While operators kick against this provision, if it goes ahead to be implemented on August 20, the real losers will be the customers. Uber and Bolt will pass this 10 per cent cost along to end-users, making cab fares more expensive,” according to TechCabal

The state government also makes it compulsory for all ride-hailing services to make their database accessible to the government

That was excerpts from the punch...

From what you just read above, can you now see that the government already has a database of all our earnings weekly, and that posting them publicly is basically tautlogy? Are you gradually seeing that it's senseless to ask "us" to stop posting earnings?

Can you also now see that you're currently paying 10% tax of every trip to the government and that if they increase taxation, bolt will increase fares thereby protecting you?

Now let's properly calculate.

If there are 6,250 drivers and they make on average 120,000 weekly according to bolt, can you pls calculate 120,000 x 6,250 x 4 weeks ?

Before calculating, average here means the total earnings of all drivers divided by 6250, before you remind me that some drivers make 25k weekly.... Again, Lagos State government is fully aware of these calculations as I reminded you earlier that they aren't stupid...

120,000 x 6250 x 4 = 3 billion naira.
Out of 3 billion, bolt charges 20 percent of which they give 10% to govt.

Therefore bolt charges = 600million naira monthly. Out of 600 million monthly, they remit half to the govt. Therefore, bolt receives 300million naira a month.

300m x 12 months = 3.6 billion naira.

Out our this 3.6 billion, they pay 25million yearly and another 60million as per the 10million per every 1001 cars per year.

3,600,000,000 - approx. 90,000,000 = 3.5 billion naira to bolt yearly after everything.

Therefore, on your request to stop posting, the answer is no deal.

For your 25k weekly drivers, it's either they just stop driving all together or they step up their game. It's their personal decision which should by no means whatsoever, dictate to me what I should, or should not do. I can motivate drivers privately but first, I need to harvest them from this cesspit of lies about ehailing driving. I see that the "we" on this thread want discussions to be centered around their own personal frivolities and excesses which benefits nought, to the general viewing public, intending drivers and intending investors.

This is not a game. You either go hard or go home. You either take the heat or get the fvck out of the kitchen.
The bolded is wrong.
LASG charges 10% of the 20% comission which is N60million out of the N600million.
