You can only reschedule your appointment once for free which I suppose you have already done. To add your family, you need to cancel your appointment, pay another visa fee and then book your appointment together with your family.

Definitely. You could still apply on your current passport and if issued a visa, you could then get a new passport. The visa in the old passport would still be valid even if the passport is less than 6 month or expired but you would need a new passport to be able to travel along with the old passport that has the valid u.s visa.

DexterousOne:
Good day house

Please I have a question.

My passport has less than 13 months validity left on it.

I will be applying for the tourist visa in July, which would further shorten the lifespan of my passport to less than a year.

Can I still use the same passport to apply for the visa?
Or I need ti get a new one

Because I read that the passport should have a six month lifespan afterthe and of my trip.

Thank you

I think they will check just for confirmation purpose in his own case because parent going for graduation is normally one of the easiest visa to get.
Yes I agree that visa for a parent attending their Wards graduation is one of the easiest. However, adding a sibling to the application is a tricky one.

Thank you, i will do as you have said
Hey! Not sure if the VO would look at or rely on those documents. It is inconsequential. Anyway, do as the spirit leads you.

Your parents stand a better chance than your brother. I would advice your parents apply while your brother can wait.

Get married first and then apply for a K1/K2 visa? That’s a no-no please, K1 is for Fiancé and not for married people. A visit to her in Nigeria should be the starting point, without getting married oh, that is if going the fiancé visa route though. Meanwhile, the aunty should rest, assured that the visa application will never fly as long as the purpose is to visit a boyfriend she has never met with physically before....
The guy coming to Nigeria to get married to her here is a faster and better route. Once he goes back, he can then file for her to come over. Stating you planning to go and visit a u.s boyfriend you have never seen before cannot work.

OK, I recently earned a doctorate degree with plans of leaving the banking industry for the academic world. This conference will in no small measure boost my CV as an aspiring academic. This is because it will be my first international conference on my area if study.

Will that response help?
It means you already bagged a PhD and I want to assume you captured it as part of your educational qualification when filling in your DS 160 form. Your explanation make sense and logical. However, do you have any travel history?

Good day house.
I'm expecting an invite from an international educational conference taking place in the US June this year. I work in a bank at the moment, but I'm a budding academic. The conference will last for just three days and I will be self financing. I only want to stay for the period of the conference and return back.
What do I need to know pls to aid me in securing the visa?
z

The obvious question from the VO is to ask you what value would the conference add to your bank work. If you can give a convincing answer, you might stand a chance. Not sure the VO would be interested to hear about "budding academic".

Hello house, please I'll like to ask few questions. I applied for a B2 visa with an appointment scheduled for March, I want to go meet my boyfriend who is a US citizen for the first time only for a period of 1week. I have never been out of Nigeria. We intend to apply for k1/k2 visas for my 4year old son and I as soon as I return. My son won't be going with me on the first visit. Do I inform the VO of our intention to apply for a k1/k2 and if yes, at what point please? I also want to ask if there is need for us to apply for the k1/k2 now, so we can show the VO the proof of application or wait till when I get back. I'll be immensely grateful for answers.
So here it is...your best option is for your u.s citizen boyfriend to come to Nigeria first and get married to you. Afterwards, you could apply for a K1/K2 visa. You would stand a better chance that way. It might not be wise to say you are going on a visit first to see/meet your boyfriend in the U.S. that's a red flag cos it means you have stronger ties in the U.S than in Nigeria. Since you have already booked your appointment, I can only wish you best of luck.

You paid with a Mastercard, is it not connected to a bank account?
I don't think you can pay u.s visa fees using a debit card in Nigeria. You can't even make an interbank transfer. It's either you go to any GT bank branch to make payment or you pay through your GT bank internet banking where you would see a menu specific for u.s visa fee payment.

gurus in the house,i need help - I did drop box for me, wife and three children however I have official assignment on same date, can I reschedule mine alone(221g), while wifey and kids go without cancelling everybody?do I cancel and reschedule all?how do I reschedule mine alone and not affect their date?please i need help quickly, interview is February
There is no way you can reschedule yours alone. It's either you cancel the appointment and reschedule all together again or you allow your wife and kids to go for the interview while you miss the interview so they can reschedule yours alone. If you are the main applicant, it would be advisable you attend the interview together with your wife and children. Calling you back for an interview after Dropbox means they need you to explain or clarify an issue.

Good evening all..... Please If a group is applying for visa. Will all the group attend interview that same day and will everyone have a 1-on-1 interview with the OV ?... A group more than 15 in number. Thanks for your help....
You would be interviewed 1 - 1 and it is also possible to be interviewed same day if you fix your appointments same day. But note that each individual would be accessed on its own merit.
