Chicadedieu: Hi all,
Please I have another question about filling a child's tourist visa for the UK. What is the logical response to fill for my kids for the following questions? Thanks for your guidance.
1. How much money are you personally planning to spend on your visit to the UK?
2. What is the total amount of money you spend each month? For your child's income and expenditure details, put in same details you filled in your own visa application. I assumed you are the parent/sponsor. |

Jocabasa: Good morning guys... I don com again ooo make una no say my blood dey hot oo... Although my blood dey hot truly..
I noticed flights from December upward ar daam expensive so am thinking of booking a flexible flight ticket on d last day of d 15working days given by d Ukvi for my passport collection...
God forbid if d 15working days given no laap den I can change d flight date ahead.... Nd if I get my passport before d date den i japkaa....
Pls AdvanceDNA, Hunee, Mattle n members if I make sense or not advise me It's still a good gamble as you only pay the price difference of the new date if you eventually change your flight. The funny thing is that it might end up being more expensive...but then you could be lucky. |

bardintentionz: Chief, please any idea how long the biometrics process takes. Do they stick to time or one has to arrive very early. 30 minutes to your appointment time is ok. You would be allowed entry. The biometrics process period depends on the number of people you meet before you. It also depends on where you doing your biometrics.VI center is pretty much faster than Ikeja. Either way, you should be done in one or two hours max. |

dalobaba: Thanks for being here,
I submitted my online application yesterday and I just noticed the date of birth is 2017 instead of 1987. I seriously don’t know how that happened. Is there a way to correct this? Thanks I would advise you cancel the application and reapply. Though it means you have to forfeit the visa fees. The 2017 DOB erroneously stated means the visa application will be processed as a "Minor" visa application. I'm surprised you didn't notice the follow up questions specifically for minors when filling the application. For example, asking which of your parents or guardian will be accompanying you. That would have made you know that something was amiss in your application. |

Yes. Since you currently work with the government, you need to tick it. Afterwards, another section would ask you the period skrill: Good morning everyone, I work with the Federal Government of Nigeria, and I'm currently registering for my uk visa but there is a particular spot I'm stuck. I am wondering if im to tick the spot that asked me if have worked some certain jobs(don't forget I work with the civil service). Kindly find attached screenshot and give ur candid opinion and advice. Thanks |

You got residence rights. You only need to quarantine for 10 days in a managed hotel. gistbite: What about dependant visa holders? |

I'm not even sure one is allowed to travel if your country is on the red list except you are a British citizen or you got a residence permit. I mean for tourist/visiting visa. chima1978: Nigeria has now been added to UK's red list. There goes people's Christmas holidays. If you have to travel, you will need to quarantine in a hotel for 10 days. |

Do NOT put 5k pounds for your spouse. State only the amount she might be willing to spend on her own, even if it's a small amount. Afterwards, there is another section that asked ''if any other person is paying for your trip'', include your name and then state the amount you are willing to pay towards her trip which should be less than the 5k pounds. Also, include a cover letter or letter of sponsorship in your application stating what part of the cost you are covering for her. LadyIE: Hello In completing the visitor visa application, For the question on how much do you plan to spend for this trip?
What do I put?
I have already put the entire cost for the family trip in my own application..5K pounds. Now for spouse’s application do I need to put 5K again ? Or what do I do. I don't know if putting 5K for her will double the intended funds Anticipating your kind response |

She might not need to do a cover letter. Any other salient information about her could be provided in the Additional information section of the visa application (if necessary). Just ensure your sponsorship letter is clear with no ambiguity. Nnemomatina: Ok. Thanks so much.
But does she need to write any cover letter |

Since you and your husband are sponsoring her, you guys would be the one to write the letter of sponsorship. Specify in the letter if you are sponsoring her whole trip 100% (flight, accommodation, feeding and other miscellaneous) or if part of the trip for the period of her stay between so and so date. Also state the purpose of her trip and where she would be staying. In addition, provide a brief of what you do or where you work and include where the fund will be coming from. Salary, investment, savings etc stating the specific account statements. In the letter, you could state what other documents you have attached as financial proof and also proof of family ties as applicable. Hope this helps. Nnemomatina: Good morning all. Please my mom's TLS appointment is next week Tuesday. I want to print my statement on Saturday because my salary is coming tomorrow. My husband and myself are sponsoring her trip.
We created an email for her to submit the application. So it's more like she filled it herself. My question is: how do we go about cover letter for eco. Do we (sponsors) need to do the cover letter or should we do it as though it is my mom addressing it to eco about her visit?
We have pictures to support that she is a farmer although her earnings doesn't reflect on her account statement....is she the one to describe her account statement and describe the pictures to be attached?
How do we come in as sponsors..
Please I need help |

Sorry about that. When including your business certificate of registration, Did you include the other form that shows your name and passport photo? Also invoices do not necessarily translate to payments. If they did, then you could point to those payments in the bank statement and link it with the invoices to show they were genuine payments. A cover letter could explain all that. But actually, it's really hard to tell what went wrong as we don't have the full facts or documents submitted. larrybam: Good afternoon everyone, been following this thread for sometime now. I applied for UK visa and I received a refusal letter this afternoon. The business is mine and I've been operating this business for some years now. Below is the refusal letter, what do you advise I do next please? |
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by sholsy: 5:39pm On Nov 22, 2021 |
You are in order. Just ensure the sponsor provides the necessary supporting documents to show its financial capacity. Chrisbam: Please @anyone help to clarify this:
As in the filled form, my dad is being sponsored by his child with #500,000 and personally spending #100,000 of his own money on the trip.
Pls this question “how much money are you personally planning to spend on your visit to the uk”
*should this be (500,000+100,000)=#600,000 or it’s just okay as I’ve filled in the form (#100,000) ?
* if I need to make a correction pls how best can I effect that, as the form is submitted already.
*pls see attached
thank you for kind response. |

You would need to pay for a Flexi appointment to do a walk in any day. That's another cost different from Priority. gistbite: Even if you don't get the same appointment day, you can do walk in any day you like. |

Yes. Same fees you paid including priority. Hopefully, you are able to get same appointment date and time so you'd be able to submit your applications together. He also has to go with you on the scheduled date. Motolanta: PLZ @sholsy so i have to pay different visa fees (Priority) for him and Biometric Fees? |

Yes. You have to fill a separate application for your son. Also when scheduling your appointment, you may want to use one of the services that enables you and your son get same appointment time so you could submit both applications together. |

Of course this is a public forum and that's why you need to get your facts right and not just follow the band wagon. seyewest: I don't know what you're talking about because I'm not even ready to go back and look for it... what name do you call WRONG? Bad? Untrue? Incorrect? Inaccurate? etc

You are good. You won't be called for an interview except you provided some conflicting information on your new DS form from the previous one. It is not compulsory you used your visa before it expires so you can go ahead and apply via Dropbox. sammycase86: Good afternoon I applied for my us visa but didn’t get to use it till it expired last week I would like to apply via Dropbox Can anyone who has been in this situation advise what to do? Only your passport would be collected if you are successful. Teshoma11: Hello house, for people who have gone for the interview, i am aware most of the time, they do not request to see the documents.
For those who were successful, did they at any point collect any of your documents after they informed you that you were successful? or it was just the passport that was collected?
Answers please |

For this one, you need to create a new profile for one of them and then add other children. But any other time you want to renew your visa, you can then add the children to your profile. Beehandz: Hello All,
Please how can i schedule interview for dependents (children). The parents already has Visa.
Will it be from the parents profile? or I will need to creat a profile for 1 of the children & add the others to it.
Please advice |

Did you fill out a new DS 160? If you didn't fill another application, you don't need to update any confirmation number. But if you filled a new DS 160, once you log in to your appointment page, look for the "update profile" menu, you should be able to make any amendment. rikkyayo: Hi guys, I've been a silent follower of this trend ever since. But now i need help and i can only think of you guys. And i really am lost at this junction. Please what can i do to rectify this problem. Please its urgent. Thanks in advance. |
