Whiteshield: You sit in the East but you are stretching neck to cry that a South South state is a beacon of growth in the Eastern corridor. Why can't you pick a state in your region as an example of growth? Or progress is a taboo in the East? Akwa Ibom isn't even in the East.
If Pdp were such a fantastic party, why did you vote them out in Abia?
You are supporting LP but crying that someone decamped from Pdp. You people are not even serious.
INEC must remain neutral and stay out of politics because being on the wrong side of the people is a dangerous place to be. Come 2027, Nigerians will take back their country, now that it's clear where the politicians' loyalties lie.
You guys are talking about Shoprite, even this site nairaland.com has become deserted because most people can't afford data anymore like before to be on the site for long. The problem we have in this country is the large amount of stupid people in circulation, if not why would Tinubu even be considered as an option in 2027 when he has failed monumentally in every aspect.
What a joke! It's time for Nigerians to take over their country. If these evil people are allowed to continue what we are witnessing today is just the beginning.
This man really rates himself too highly He’s the classic butterfly mistaking himself for an eagle. His comment makes it obvious he’s not well-educated. A public servant should not be mocking a citizen for calling out incompetence. Social status shouldn’t shield anyone from accountability. A professor of Islamic studies who likely didn’t even sit for SSCE like the rest of us. We recently found out that certificates from the National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies (NBAIS) are treated the same as WAEC, NECO, and NBTE qualifications for getting into Nigerian universities to study Islamic courses. So they skip WAEC and NECO, present an NBAIS certificate, get into university and next thing you know—boom! JAMB Registrar!
Good, they should do everything possible to make that state habitable. As a former federal capital that was built and developed with our commonwealth, all Nigerians must work with the state government to make the state environmentally friendly for all.
People can tolerate nonsense sha, if you dehumanize me in this manner, I'll make sure I cause you unforgettable sorrow. It may take weeks, months or even years to execute my revenge but I will definitely repay your evil with greater evil.
When you complain about the absurdities happening in every sector of the country, they'll call you names and start a tribal war. How can so-called police officers deposit a body in a morgue without proper documentation? This simply means things like this have been happening. Just imagine the nonsense!
suckprick: All these men going after ladies that is 10yrs+ younger, how una dey do am? Shame no dey catch una? Personally I can't marry someone that's more than 5yrs younger than me. It would look as if I am with my niece. Someone that should be calling you uncle is calling you honey? Da fvck.
Zionmdde: Let the politicians all migrate to the parties they think will serve their interest
It should be left for the masses to decide the candidate they also think will serve their interest.
You can't go to apc for the sake of your political business and try to force the same down the throat of the masses who are obviously feeling the effect of apc government in their lives
You have said it all. It's funny how politicians think their selfish interests should be more important than the interest of the people.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y4dmFVjPv5g?si=4uYKKhjFXpHR3wnB A viral video captures the moment when women, who appear to be mothers, lambast former Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa. The incident allegedly took place at a political gathering where the former governor tried to promote his new party, the APC to the female electorate but was rebuked by the visibly angry women who wanted nothing to do with the APC.
Ex. Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa's own people rejected him, when he went to tell them he has joined APC.
They told him to go alone and not carry them go where dem no know.
They told him Pointblank that they remain with PDP and won't follow him to his bad market place.
E remain small, dem for tear am blow for face. God save am say he quickly run.
This is why he refused to collect APC membership card cus he knows he's alone in this sojourn.
These Owa-Alero and Ika North-East guys really hate Okowa. Even in the last elections, they voted against him and ensured he failed. Now they have disowned him again.
Let the Southerners waste their time on social media criticising government every minute, every hour of the day.
There are so many useful government initiatives that Southerners simply refuse to key into.
Every government policy initiative that is announced, they immediately dismiss it as 'na scam', or 'na propaganda'.
Northerners just key in and take advantage without doubting. Well done to them.
I read the news about Emefiele's seized 750 houses on nairaland this evening, and noticed the Minister of Housing mentioned 'Renewed Hope Homes'. Just out of curiosity, I searched it on google, and Lo and behold there are actually new homes being constructed in several states which are already available for sale for cash, or with a government loan of just 7%!. Compare that to a commercial bank mortgage that is more than 30%.
The website functions excellently and prices are much cheaper than the equivalent houses in the open market.
Yet, most Southerners, (including me until today) are not aware of these opportunities.
I bet you have never applied for any government social program before. You only benefit from such programs if you have an insider, your name is on a politician's list or you are willing to bribe to get it. Didn't read about NIRSAL? and Covid 19 intervention
Reasons why legislators will continue to steal from the National Budget.
1.Statistics show that Numerous federal ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) have failed to respond to FOI requests with reports indicating that over 175 MDAs ignored such requests.
2.There is entrenched culture of secrecy within government institutions undermining the objectives of transparency and limiting citizen engagement.
3.Budget Padding: Lawmakers allegedly add bogus projects or inflate the cost of real projects, which are later awarded to cronies or used as kickback channels.
4.Executive arms or ministries allegedly offer bribes to legislators to secure favorable budget consideration or approval which are embezzled.
5.Legislators collude with budget officials to insert the same project in multiple places or replicate non-existent projects.
5.Lawmakers use family members or associates to register companies that win contracts related to budget allocations or oversight-identified projects.
6.Despite several exposés, few lawmakers are prosecuted and many return to office. This fosters a culture of impunity.
