TravelRe: Study Or Work Visa, Which One Should He Go For? by Sibaa(m): 2:15pm On Feb 17, 2024
[can relate. It becomes stressful. This has landed me in a state of confusion.

I was using this travel agent who happened to be close friends with my big mummy. I Started conference visa stuff with him. He was not ready to start any telling of required documents to anyone until yiu have made a deposit of N1m.

I made deposit of N1m last year October. And he sent me long list of documents I am to start hunting. One of which is still pending.

According to the instruction, he was not going to submit any application until all documents are completed and after submission, if the visa is approved , then you balance a certain amount of money. But if the visa is denied he will refund you 550k

Those documents were too stressful and were making me travel to abuja n back and all that. I decided to give it a pause cos I was on a project at the the time and travelling up and down was costing me too much idle time with my team and subsequently affecting productivity, hence cost of running project became higher.

I came across another japa opportunity while yet still waiting to secure the last set of documents. This was different and it just requested few documents which I already had it clicked.

I am seeing worried how best to approach this man to refund money. I need it to prepare for my next trip. I pondered on it for days didn't know how to inform him. Alas, I informed him last 2 days that I have gotten an.oppoetunity somewhere else and that it was just few documents left to submit which I will need funds to sort out. The man just replied" Glory to God , congratulations keep me posted" and that's all.

I replied with " thank you sir".

I kept mute, after some minutes he sent me a message saying, when I arrive there I will help him secure some contacts in that country for him to start introducing to his clients. I said sure sir.

He did not say anything again since that chat. Could it mean he's forgotten I paid him or what could this mean?

Please guys what is your advise how do I present my point to him? I have the record of the transaction receipt I sent to him.

Help me come up with a strategic approach please I need the money to use it for one or two or things please

Thank you

I don't think it's mandatory to get a job from here for the job visa category I'm looking at. People are getting visas without a job offer, I guess you're talking about job visa sponsorship.

Studying is cool too, but why spend time studying when I can start working within a short time frame of arrival? That's why I'm looking for more ideas and insights.
I've been in a dilemma for some time now, trying to choose which pathway I should use for my japa plan.

I would prefer to go with a study visa(to Portugal or Malta) as I'm more familiar with the process and can do everything myself without much help, and it's also easier to get the visa.

My problem with it is that it's quite expensive, and it will take some time for me to start doing full-time work to save tangible funds and cover up the sources I used in getting the japa capital.

On the other hand, a work visa looks great, but I'm not familiar with the process (I will most likely seek assistance from travel agents I know in person), I don't know the possibility of getting a good job within the time-frame the visa will last.

With study, I'll have to target countries with favorable PR requirements, but with a work visa, I will go for any good one without considering much about PR possibilities.

My major motivation is financial, please which one should I go for

How legit is work visa, looking for jobs on arrival. I need your opinions. Thanks in advance.
Justwise, I hope you are doing well?
Please, I need advice on this one. Thank God I found this thread.
I'm trying to book my flight, and the cheapest I've seen so far is BA. About 800+ dollars difference from other airlines.
I wanted to confirm if I need a transit visa. My friend who used BA last year said her layover was about 12hrs, and she was at the airport all through and didn't need to have a transit visa.
Mine is about that long too. Do you advise I get a transit visa (If the only reason I need one is just to step out of the airport), or use a different airline that doesn't require that or just stay put at the Airport during the layover? (I don't have a problem with staying put cheesy, but I don't want their wahala)
Please advise, as I need to book this today. I've checked their website, and all I'm seeing is DATV and Non-DATV. They also mentioned that if you have a Canadian visa you don't need one. So not sure, if I still need one.

I've always been a fan of LH, but they want to "remije" this time. grin The difference is too much.

Thank you!

PS: I've been on hold since tryna reach someone at their care line. cry cry
Hi happy new year.

I just saw this thread, I just want to ask you a favor, did you require that transit visa to pass through the UK using BA? If no, but as you land at Heathrow, was there any document check to verify which country visa you were in possession of?.

Thank you

The road to America

By the end of March 2022, I have received responses for all my school applications. I have four total offers with one being funded. I was very happy but I decided to keep calm as I have read several cases of people being denied visas at the embassy.

I proceeded to arrange for the payment of my SEVIS and visa fees. I had a little delay with the payment of my SEVIS fee, so I could not pay on time. For this reason, I missed the early dates that were released for the interview. When the money was finally paid, I started looking for interview dates in Abuja. This process was arguably one of the hardest as dates were always not available. After a series of sleepless nights and sleeping on my computer keyboard, I managed to get a date that was a few days to resumption. I picked this date and began my preparation for the visa interview.

When it was two days before my interview, I left Ogun State for Abuja by road. Prior to this time, I have read news of kidnappings on the road. Although the news greatly disturbed me and my loved ones, the flight cost was exorbitant and going for that option would create a big hole in my finances considering my current and future expenses.

I got to Abuja at night and lodged at a guesthouse for two nights. On the day of the interview, I woke up very early and went to the US Embassy at Diplomatic Drive. When I got there, I met other people who were the for the same purpose and I went straight to the front. About an hour later, we lined up and were told to go in after the checks.

Throughout the process, I was so nervous because the stakes were so high. Since I was the first person in the queue, I was also the first person to be interviewed by the visa officer. My interview lasted for less than three minutes and I was approved. I quickly took my files and left the embassy for the guesthouse. Then I called my family and friends to inform them about the good news. It seemed surreal! My visa has been approved and I will be going to America!

A few weeks later, I booked my flight and the travel was scheduled for December. After spending time with my family and loved ones, I departed Nigeria for the United States in December 2022.

Yes, dreams do come true! I hope someone will try again one more time before giving up on life.
Wow.

Congratulations 🎊.

I am actually in a situation right now. I also need a US visa interview date urgently. I am looking for class C-1 visa. It's not been easy I've paid an agent since 16th of January 2023 till now no reasonable date. I struggled on it and I'm still on it, I booked 21 Dec 2023 but I need a date in this February. Any information on a legit plug that can deliver??

Thanks

For those of you thinking I am young, I am a 40 years old man while my girlfriend is 28 years old. We had some conversation this morning and it's so glaring that she wants me to go through the study route or try another country then she can come and join me. She said that going as a dependent means I want to settle for crumbs while i can also get the big bones. And I am insisting to her that it's doesn't matter even if F2 does not work, I can always do under the table job.
Allow her sir. This thing sup with my friend. Him sef don finally De US now married to Whity the girl wey leave am for 9ja in 2019 just de f**k different guys left right and center . She no even see babymama contract yet as of Sept 2022. We nono update now sha. I think it works more for black guys to marry a white American lady or gay sef lol. (is a free world outhere man) when you eventually get there. It's not so easy for black African ladies to get such deals but for your peace of mind I feel you just gotta detach gradually so it won't affect your health considering your age sir
