I get question... met this girl course 46 screening... we hit it off... got so close and you know!! We had seen a couple of times before she resumed cadet training... she called yesterday night and make I no lie, I might still have feelings for her... Does the military allow a male officer marry a senior female officer? Cos I know they have strict cross dating and marriage rules!!
Ps this is fiction... I just want to know if it’s allowed Cos I know officers can’t Mary NCO’s in all the services |

You are right.. 2nd Lieutenant to lieutenant promotion is 2 years and 5 years for captain... the luckiest Dssc guys will make colonel and might not make it further ... there’s even one captain in my area.. he was dropped as a captain and he answers captain everywhere...he’s not so well to do.. but before LT Buba died, he told me that it’s very easy for Ssc guys to convert now... pass your exams and have served in NE at some point, you’d be considered as long as you pass the requirements for conversion..and you can start trying your conversation when you hit the rank of Lieutenant..just like you have 3 trials to pass exams, you also have 3 trials to convert.. I’m not sure Dssc writes promotion exams so if they are spending longer on a rank, means the system was decided to affect them kinda.. I know a Dssc medical doctor that’s a lieutenant colonel now... never had issues.. rented a big house for his wife and daughter in Abuja.. |

Kalapizim: It depends on charisma too, I was with my NMS course mate who got in via dssc some days ago with some second lieutenants who were both RC / Ssc and my guy dey give them order. lol bro he’s their senior Cos he’s a full lieutenant and they are 2nd lieutenants... once the RC becomes a full lieutenant, tables might change |

ugo4u: I'm not sure but when course 44 passed out in 2017 according to the HTACOS then it was supposed to be 18months from 2nd Lt to Lt, 3yrs from Lt to Captain, making it almost 5yrs. Don't know what is obtainable now @eclipsehemmy can be of help. This is correct actually.. except if there are any changes now... the only thing I’m not sure of now is the lieutenant to captain rank... if it’s 3 or 5 years |

It even states here that an SSC Officer can’t have power of command over an RC Officer if they are on the same rank... and I think it’s irrespective of seniority on rank.. |

The ones that made it on this thread in the beginning got in 2016, passed out 2017 and got promoted November December 2019 so 2 years sorry... 2 years from commission...I counted from resumption of cadet training.. |

Me thinks 5 yrs is too long a time for 1st Lt to Capt even SSC 2nd lieutenants spend about 3 years to make full lieutenant now.. |

Blueelf: quick question for Sir Ugo4u, sikowitz and the likes...
Please what's the average number of years it takes for 2 star lieutenant to become a captain
Just wondering because it's like there is a delay for many and I can't fathom why
Please can you guys throw more light on this please? ideally bro it’s supposed to be 5 years on the lieutenant to captain rank..all Rcs were just promoted after 4/5 years that’s 62rc... the new hermonised terms and conditions made it 5 years on all ranks for all commissions in the military...but it came to my understanding of recent, doe I don’t know how true it is that there are some Dssc guys who are currently on their 7th year for captain promotion... we had an argument a while ago about this and the guy messaged me with his proof... I’m still not sure about it but ideally, all commissions will carry a 5 year promotion period |

MrSuama: When the list was released in 2016, I just couldn't accept not making it to the interview. I was seriously devastated, age had caught up with me having initially graduated at a very young age. One evening after I finished teaching some children lesson (side hustle) their father paid me and guess what? That night I boarded a car to Jos, since I couldn't get a car to Abuja, from Jos, I boarded another car to Akwanga, from Akwanga I got another car to Abuja all in one night with the hope of seeing Buratai's wife at NAOWA headquarters. Upon arriving Abuja at about past midnight, I boarded a cab to NAOWA headquarters with the hope of sleeping in the open air and probably seeing her when she arrives in the morning. A soldier confronted me and asked about my mission at that time of the night. After narrating my ordeal, he said " so you want her to remove somebody's name and put your own Abi" I felt so bad and left. I trekked almost 3 to 4 km from NAOWA headquarters till I got to a bridge, I sighted a mosque, rested for some hours, prayed my Fajr prayer and soon I was on my way back to Bauchi. The passion for the army just burnt my hard earned ₦10000 lesson money. In 2018, I wrote two letters, one to chief of army staff and the other to chief of defence staff hoping a miracle will happen but Ina. I even almost gatecrashed Serti but since my course was not advertised I felt my chances were low. It's 2020, and guess what, am giving it another shot because the worst I can do is to give up on God. Indeed Victory is From God Alone. Bro but is age still on your side now? |

explosiveskull: Na why I just dey reason this dssc wella. For my life I no too like responsibilities especially one that has to do with satisfying humans, though am very good with animals since they are predictable but humans have the complex dynamic temperament that swings with no predictability, on probability which can be wrong. Am a very good O'yes member in everything, I just want to enter, serve out my years with the hope I've fulfilled my dream and passion not to be in control of humans who no matter what I do you can never please them. During our interview at ssc44, I noticed that the officers used this force and sometimes angry voice to command the NCOs, like hell, don't they know that by mere talking to someone somehow thatjthey can pick offence and start planning evil for you but the officers never cared, like what gives them that morale the a junior subordinate can't hurt them. It was lt col yaradua that instigated the ousting of Gowon who is a general, that is why I loved captain abdullahi, he said he made sure his wife never direspected his soldiers for whatsoever and that is how it should be, as an officer, your life is in the hand of your soldiers and vice versa. well you know better bro.. what you know now is enough to maintain welfare for your men...don’t think about the disadvantage... imagine a time when your men would love you so much that they’d carry your matter on the head..it’s easy to be nice to people..doe leadership demands some certain kind of firmness and it’s not easy to succeed as a leader but kindness goes a long way in human relations..and a soldier only just wants to know “Oga’s got me” course 45 the captain In charge was telling us how he was left behind in battle and he thought he was going to die... and how Sargent dauda got back and asked where the captain was... took a hilux and drove back to get him.. sustaining bullet wounds..the captain was a little firm but was always mushy around dauda... I don’t know if there’s anybody that can back this story up... dauda told us a lot too... |
