please you people should not totally confuse people..... Alot of people were commissioned earlier this year without professional certification.... But the moment you enter start working how to get it...... You see dat advert dere..... Take it from me... It wouldn't count..... You need God, your long leg, your certificate and your mouth and convincing power.... Professional certificate is compulsory for doctors, pastors, teachers and some small small Corp.... No kill yourself... Get your believe..... I talk my own

SSC C44 passed out 2017 September making them 2 years now, and they are to hang Substantive Lt from March 2020 which makes them 2 years 6 months with 2/ Lt. From there it will follows as this Below....

I guess the gentleman haven't read through the thread. I employ to do so. Trust me, this thread is actually one of the best I've read recently, despite my schedules, I was able to finish it faster than I had imagined. It'll do you a great service to read through everything because you'll be armed with information to the point you can also give advice and counsel others here.
Back to your question.
Army don't write any exams.
Registration-screening-training.
However screening is done randomly because a lot of qualified candidates would be applying too, but you know this is Nigeria, anything can happen ( I pray the best happens to all of us here). During screening, your credentials would be vetted to weed out those that forge or having anomalies in their certificate(s). After then comes the 3.2km run in 18mins, push ups, sit ups and then obstacle crossing I guess Followed by medicals where would be checked if you're physically fit and healthy enough for the job then your exams mainly objectives and an essay where would be asked to write about "why I want to join the army". Follow by screening by NASB.
PS; the order of the process of the screening might not be correct, but those are basically the activities you'll do if called upon.
NB: information I gave here is subject to any change from MS since I don't work there or know anyone there. But this is how they've conducted their last 2-3 recruitment based on knowledge I acquired from this thread.

ssc course 44 resumed December.... Passed out Sept 16th..... I remember wella.... Army no get specific time table o.... Anything goes..... This course 45 resumed January 31.... Passing out Oct 5th..... E no reach 9months

I may likely stand to disagree on this though, from the information we received from a Nairalander, afsb for dssc is at Ibadan and also ec own is at Ibadan. Another Nairalander said EC own is from 10-14 November, and DSSC will be on that same ground before them. I think the afsb will run through d second week of Oct to d end. And training may commence ending or early December this year. Thanks

Hello guys, I have a question to ask. I registered for DSSC, but now wish to convert to SSC. How possible is it for me since there's no double registration? Actually I had a change of heart having gone through some information and know the difference between DSSC, SSC and RC.

While for medical practitioners (consultants) 5-8 years ...cos they will hang eagle immediately after pop

Afaka here Afaka there, pls where is Afaka, who are those there, I just want to know what am going into. Though I prepared myself to become an army officer. I applied DSSC last year but this time around I filled SSC. I learnt better chances of getting shortlisted is in SSC.

Just a reminder, if you have a good paying job, a federal Civil Service job or any other, I won't advice you to apply don't forget DSSC and SSC is 15yrs without extension that's if you failed to convert and conversion is also based on availability so the moment you make it start planning like you won't convert.

The level of man-know-man in the DSSC recruitment is far higher than that of the SSC (except the DSSC is going for the medical field).my course 44 friends said conversion is almost automatic for SSC cadets now adays..especially for those serving in the northeast... There's a chance you'd get to convert..if its your own, you'd get it

Again don't leave a good paying job for the army in the name of passion, transfer that your passion to your Job.
