CultureRe: The 10 Things Nigerians Know About Ghanaians by sikwitdii: 5:31pm On Oct 28, 2013
carujmonella: This is a nice post devoid sentiment from a man who married a ghanaian woman and have lived in ghana long enough to beat his chest and say he knows deep rooted knowledge about the two countries' lifestyle.

That said I wanna talk about numbers 2 and 3

On number 2, I think the feeling is mutual in the heart of both countries' citizens'. Same way nigerians feel that ghanaians hates them is the same way ghanaians think that nigerian hates them. The fights/wars are mostly fought on the internet and it's not that serious offline. People tend to exaggerate matters when it comes to nigeria vs ghana. From the tales I have heard offline, ghanaians live peacefully with nigerians. Though there might be seed of discord from time to time( hatred/enviness is bound to spring out from one individual or the other), I think the nigerians and ghanains live in concord more than unconcord

On number 3, is that not the same fate in nigeria and MOST AFRICAN COUNTRIES?. Go to SA, the whites lords over the blacks. Here in nigeria, the white man is taken like a demi god. Paid higher/earn higher in their positions. And nigerians copy the white men too. From lifestyle to fashion sense and what not. I think it's an african thingy it's pathetic!!. Black need to liberate themselves from the "slave mentality". Nothing wrong in copying the white men but we should loose our minds while copying them most importantly we shouldn't loose our "core values" upon which our "africanness" are built

angry
Just out of curiousity.... what core values are you talking about?

Correct me if I am wrong... Our core values are based on the same core values the white man introduced to us centuries ago (which they are abandoning).

PoliticsRe: British-born Michael Adeboloja Labelled A Nigerian: Why? by sikwitdii: 4:23pm On May 23, 2013
obadiah777: BUT HE IS A NIGERIAN. YOU ARE NOT WHERE YOU ARE BORN. YOU ARE YOUR HERITAGE. IF I PLANT AN APPLE SEED IN CHINA WHAT WILL COME OUT ? AN APPLE. IF I PLANT THE SAME APPLE SEED IN NIGERIA WHAT WILL COME OUT ? AN APPLE. YOU ARE NOT WHERE YOU ARE BORN. THATS A PREPOSTEROUS CARNAL AND SHALLOW ASSERTION. WE ALL HAVE LINEAGES. JUST CUZ A CHINESE MAN IS BORN IN NIGERIA DOES NOT MEAN HE IS NIGERIAN.
Dude, are you being serious? The fact that the possible second nationality of the second person has not been mentioned does not give you cause for concern? You can seriously agree with the media even when you know that if he did something good, nobody would be told that he is also Nigerian? Think man, you are Nigerian... behave like one!
PoliticsRe: Ifeanyi Ubah's Assets Frozen Worldwide by sikwitdii: 9:45am On Nov 15, 2012

RomanceRe: Do Nigerian Men Marry Non-nigerian Girls? by sikwitdii: 8:04am On Jun 29, 2012
HisRib: I'm African but not from Nigeria. I have a thing for Nigerian men. I think most are attractive & smart. But, I wonder if they marry women who aren't Nigerian?

I also have a few concerns about Nigerian men:
1) They are serial cheaters.
2) A lot of them use Juju to get rich.
3) Many are scam artists.
4) They are not very God-Fearing.
5) They aren't romantic.

Would a Nigerian man want to be with a girl like me?

Honest & Mature answers only please!
You guys are funny... You should read the post properly before replying. the only question she asked was "Would a Nigerian man want to be with a girl like me?"

She has clearly noted a few things that we hate to admit, is a norm with a very minute minority of Nigerian men but, she is asking, despite these flaws, which I must say, is common with every man in the world, would a Nigerian man want to be with her.

The simple answer to your question is...

A Nigerian man would be with any woman that accepts him for whom he is.
PoliticsRe: NORTH Vs GEJ: Ex-Generals, Tinubu, Others Plot Against GEJ by sikwitdii: 9:51am On Jun 27, 2012
It's sad that a nation which calls itself a democratic nation still accepts zoning of the presidency and vice-presidency candidates. No nation in the world got to where they are now without any form of hardship. The problem with us Nigerians, especially us from the south, is that we are waiting for God to intervene in everything. Nobody wants Nigeria to split up, that is the bitter truth.... but, we also do not want a president imposed on us.

The scale of this problem (Boko Haram) still eludes us as we are only told what "THEY" think we should know. The simple question is...what is the solution to this problem? If GEJ cannot think of anything, I am sure that the millions of intelligent Nigerians can think of something. If everybody on NL can come up with one single solution to this issue and agree with it, that will be the start of a change.

Stop arguing over the issues we are facing, we already know what they are. Think of a solution!
