Jan. 2nd, i decided to visit my fianceé family as per new year celebration. Luckily, they were about to start eating when i entered their house and they asked me to join them. I did.

After introductions, the silence was kind of awkward with her dad. I wanted to break the ice and seem like a fun person. I was still searching for an idea when....

My fiancee and mum entered with rice and chicken. An idea finally struck me that i'm now regretting. Let me pretend as if i don't know chicken, it would be funny and every one would have a good laugh.

I started looking at the chicken on my plate in a funny way and turning the plate in circles. I noticed i was been noticed by my fiancee and her parents. They all looked confused, but no one said anything.

I said suddenly, "wow, this is a wonder, what is this?".

They all stared at me and the mother said it is a fried chicken. A fried chi what - i said.
She replied saying a chicken, normal one.

I changed my face, this is abnormal but it is shiny and does looked good. But then, they did not realise i was just joking and thought i didn't know what a chicken was. Then i realized that i made a bad joke but i stuck to pretending i didnt know what a chicken was.

This went on for a while until my fiancee started acting scared and embarrased that i didnt know what a chicken was. The more i tried saying i dont know what a chicken was, the more they thought i knew what a chicken was.

At this point, i knew it is a do or die affair. Suddenly the father yelled, "YOU CANNOT SAY YOU DONT KNOW A CHICKEN", i replied quietly, sir, before this moment, i have not heard of the word chicken, talkless of eating it.

To cut the long story short, my fianced started crying with the mom consoling her. The father pushed me out of his house.

Since, my fiancee is not picking up my calls. I cant go to her house anymore. I really love her. She is my first fiancee. Help me please
