Been following this thread on a low for months now and I know how far this thread have helped me. I want to make a honest appeal to the supposed trolls derailing this thread. I don't know what drives you, I don't know your purpose. Maybe you want to feel fly, feel funky, feel popular or feed your over-bloated ego. Please and please, know that some people's life depends on this. Some people have made that decision to join the NA for reasons best known to them. Respect that decision. I repeat, respect that decision. If you don't have anything sensible to contribute, it's nice you keep shut. Put yourself in the shoes of the officers and aspirants. Be considerate. Don't be self-centred. Live and let live. |
oloyedewaris:So DISOBEDIENCE is a DEATH SENTENCE right?? |
tiger28:How did we get to this stage as a nation??. The most populous black nation on the face of earth. You were talking about STARVATION...do you know that the average Nigerian lives on less that 1dollar a day? Is that not worse than starvation? You said WORK ...so you know how many unemployed Nigerians we have out there?ATM...CASH that don't have value...for the MARKETS that goods are OVERPRICED? .. Sir, no one is talking about violence. Violence is not the answer but maybe it's what the government understand |
The government attacking unarmed protesters *curfew or not* is absolutely wrong. Remember Power is transient. Switching off street lights and removing CCTV cameras at Lekki Toll gate to shoot and murder the same citizens you swore to protect. This is the height of it. Look at the speed they imposed and implemented a curfew but give us good governance, they would start setting up committee and panel. Y'all just shot yourself in the foot by attacking unarmed Nigerian youths. Even the devil would be in awe by this wicked display of power. The same toll gate that generate trillions of Naira annually. At the same spot, you kill the same people that fund your irresponsible and greedy lifestyle. It's so wrong. Una no dey pay tax, Una no dey pay hospital bill, na we dey buy motor for una, give Una house, we go still buy fuel for Una, pay for domestic staff, buy clothe for una...still con buy newspaper for Una. omo...I dey para |
ahiboilandgas:Remove what ![]() Leave the guy jare....everybody dey para Na wetin dem go use against person dem dey find..... Nice country....fcking leaders |

As if they have the fcking infrastructure to carry it out. Las las, they would go and beg ISPs (Internet Service Providers) |
mightyhazel:You see your second line. EVIL is EVIL. We are humans. Bound to make mistakes. Even though I did not cheer when government killed innocent easterners. I am sure the blood of the innocent will certainly cry for justice. What if it is their blood crying out now?? |
helinues:Good. That is why we have the Court of Law. The Judiciary. If he incites his members to defy government orders, there should be a penalty for that. But it must be through the Courts. He should be tried before a judge and evidences should be tendered. Look at Rev. King for example, he was tried in a law court and sentenced accordingly. Had it been he was unlawfully detained, violence could have erupted. |
helinues:To be candid with you, people are tired. Or are you not tired?. SARS was just a catalyst to this whole reaction we are seeing now. For the past 5 years of Buhari rule, no progress. SWAT under the same leadership? Even your president don't know the full meaning of SWAT |
mightyhazel:Yes. So you support the government by making the same mistakes it made earlier by unleashing the military on the protesters? Things must change. |
helinues:I don't fully understand you. Shiites lives saved as in how?? Why would the government detain their leader UNLAWFULLY?? Imagine government arrests a popular Christian leader, Pst. Oyedepo for example. And illegally detain him. If his followers are not calm, it can result in loss of lives and properties. Shi'ites followers were feeling short-changed by the wicked system this government is running. No regard for court order. That's a discussion for another day. |
helinues:You are 50% correct. It's not just about disbanding. This is the 4th time they have supposedly disbanded that unit. What is stopping the government from making those changes?? Even while the protest is going on. They simply don't care. Besides, the issue is bigger than SARS. |
helinues:The continued detention of their leader. El-Zakazy. It is the same failed system that brought that mess. If Nigeria was working, that man should have been charged, tried in a law court and not unlawfully detained. Hope you get the drift |
helinues:Even if you are not a Nigerian youth, you should be proud of those on the frontline putting their lives at risk so that you can live a better life. Have Nigeria not abused you enough?? Is this what you call chaos . Since 1960, Nigeria have been in chaos. E no just come today. |
helinues:"Your Protest". You simply don't care. Sir, don't be deceived, you're not comfortable. We all are not comfortable. What am I supposed to update you with?. That the people your pay tax to have used your money to fund another lavish jamboree?? |
gidgiddy:Sir, you mentioned SHOCK in your comment like 4 times. If Nigeria was better, IPOB and Shiites wouldn't agitate. |
xxxtedyxxx:Yes sir. A Japanese proverb says the best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago. The second best time is NOW!! |
Look at our military. Lets say the truth. Nigeria military is far from standard. It is archaic. Thinking it's all about flexing muscles on the same people you swore to protect. Who sold them this idea? Military budget is about 10 trillion Naira. Yet nothing to show for it. Wake UP Nigerians!! From today, I would be blowing from all cylinders. I have been quiet enough. Hoping that things would change. |
Look at our educational sector. Zero. Big zero. Say the truth. Nothing is working!!! Mention one sector that is working in Nigeria and I would keep shut forever. Is it transportation?, infrastructure, electricity. Funnily enough, we have people heading these parastatals. What are they doing. What do they do in the office every day? What progress have they made? And we have a president. What does he oversee? What happens in his office? Why can't we ask questions? |
Tell me what the political elites have contributed to this country apart from sorrow and hardship. Yet we still troop out each election year to support them. WAKE UP. We only live once. Do you know about VAT?. For each phone call you make, the government have a percentage in it. What do they use it for ![]() Ask questions. We have been sleeping since. |
OZOnNengiTheory:Sir, this is more than a protest. Are you happy living the way you are?? Look around you. It's supposed to be better. Wake up. You are a Nigerian, this is your home, your country. Look at the way we are being governed. It is wrong sir. Very wrong. |
