Picture it this way, if your wife is a millionaire and you are a thousandnaire, who will be the highest or major provider? Your wife or you? Of course it will be your wife because with the millionaire income, standard of living will automatically change or increase and your thousandnaire financial status can't foot or handle that.

As for the issue of moving into the house built by her, you don't expect a family to be living a low or middle class or level standard of life when the income of one of the family member (which in this case is the wife) increases. You can't keep a family in a middle class standard of living when there's capacity for a high class standard of living all because of one's ego, how does that make sense. With the millionaire increase in income, standard of living will automatically increase including the quality of house the family lives in

Thirdly, Leonard doesn't posses the power to know the future to know if he's wife is going to disrespect him.
