A lot of retrogressive laws was made by the men in khaki. These are the laws the legislators should seek to amend. Imagine the amount of jobs this will create If the oil is exploited. Igboland is truly blessed. |
The sanity that has returned to this thread gives me great joy. I'm strongly in support of any thing whatsoever that will better the lives of ndigbo. Nothing gladdens me more than the fact that work has finally commenced in nigercem. I was just thinking about the fate of nigercem few days back and couldn't help but feeling so angry. I was wondering Why a man would allow his selfishness override common sense. How could Elechi have denied Ebonyi state a place in Nigeria just because of personal gains. I'm so passionate about the indusrial revolution in igboland. On a final note, I would want to advice buddhamonk to quit insulting the governor at the slightest opportunity. He's the no 1 man in the state and this deserves your respect. If your can't respect him as your governor, then respect him as your elder. it's not part of our tradition to disrespect our elders. I value your immense contribution on this thread but the truth must be said. Ka Udo chia na etiti igbo nile. |
CentralIntels:If you've any issue with okorocha or Abagworo, take it out on them. Stop portraying.Anambra state in a bad light. Why is it so impossible for you to live in peace for once......Biko chino, prove us wrong for once na. You should have realised that Abagworo or whatever it is he's called does not speak for the great imolites. Once again.......stop dragging the efforts of other sane people to integrate the igbo nation in the mud. If you have personal issue with anybody, take it out on the person any not his people. Grow up for once! |
new2020:Shut that your mouth. Abum nwafor Uga na Aguata lga and I don't buy this crap you wrote. If I may ask, who made you the first son? when and Where? Such display of arrogance. Biko ndigbo nile no ebea, ekwekwala Ka ofu onye nzuzu obula bute nkewa na etiti anyi. |
Masterclass32:Thank you for this. We ndi Anambra appreciates ndigbo nile n'ihi n'anyi mana unu di mkpa. Anambra alone can't do it and that's Why we appreciate you dearly. Anybody who says otherwise is an enemy and should be treated as such. Ka Udo chia na etiti ndigbo nile. |

manchy7531:He's not from Imo state. I don't understand how people so love disunity. |
new2020:Please stop this. This is exactly the attitude that we display sometimes that makes us look arrogant. Nobody made us the elder brother here and we must accept that other igbo states have equal stake in the igbo brotherhood. For the records, nobody is questioning anybody's paternity. I don't know Where you got that idea from. Stop being an agent of disunity. |
CentralIntels:Shut up baboon. You're cursed. I don't know Why you so love disunity. If you have a personal issue with that im.becile called Abagworo, you should settle it amongst yourselves. Stop dragging Anambra into your stup.id.dity. |

CentralIntels:To say you are an id.iot will be doing you a great service. Let it be made known clearly that the idi.ot I just quote does not in any way represent the views of anambrarians. Imo is a great state and part and parcel of the IGBO brotherhood. People here should know that the guy is deranged and should henceforth ignore him........@ Abagworo, I don't know who gave you the impression that Anambra hates Imo in any way. I've been doubting your claim to being igbo from day one but this nonsense just confirms it. You're a big disgrace for bringing disunity among brothers. Why don't you concern yourself with what is going on in your state. |
It is only in Nigeria that elected officials are more interested in politicking when it's obvious elections are over. This was not the reason we choose these people to go and represent us. By the way, the leadership of APC should allow the NA to do it's thing...this constant interference is doing nobody no good. |
And here in Africa we're still enmeshed in tribalism, nepotism and worthless pride. Imagine a situation whereby all the ethnic groups in a third World jungle like Nigeria is seeking to lord it over others. The sense wey God give us na only to use am loot, do ritual, kidnap, carry drugs and slaughter others naim we sabi. Imagine people like China, India and Brazil wey be our mate before don leave us tey tey and we still get time dey bicker over who get IGR pass for naija. The way forward Is to imitate what China and India did; Send the best brain among us to the developed nations and allow them there for some years to learn extreme engineering like this, recall them at the appropriate time to come and replicate what they have learnt. Otherwise we can all choose to deny the obvious truth and keep running round in circles when the World has gone beyond solving the problems of bad road, power supply and pipe borne water. |
What am l seeing here? This is pathetic to say the least. Imagine what these matured adults are doing. Ihe neme unu agbaha aka. Posting pics of your loved ones who are busy struggling to make ends meet. Tufiakwa! |
Are we not tired of sharing revenues in this country. The way forward from this quagmire is fiscal federalism. Every state should be responsible for its populace. This sharing is doing nobody no good. Nigeria as we know it is gradually dying with the kind of federalism that we are running. |
Wow! Imo is really pulling weight in the southeast. I could remember owerri has always been beautiful but I never knew it has gotten to this stage. I'm from Anambra state but nothing matters to me more than the collective development of my region. If only we would have committed leaders whose major task would be the development of SE independent of Nigeria. Let's carve a niche for our self while in Nigeria. It's obvious that the fall in oil price is not going away anytime soon. Imo, Anambra, Enugu, Abia and Ebonyi should recognize her strength and capitalize on it. Accidental leaders like T. A Orji and Elechi should be avoided at all cost. With all this in place, we can kiss oil revenue goodbye. Mmamanu oo. |
Chosen1984:You don't get it do you? Every other businesses is connected in one way or the other to the government. Bulk of people who patronize the market women, doctors, mechanics, newspaper vendors etc are all civil servants. So you get the drift; no salary, no cash flow. |
DaBullIT:Is that all you could get from the report. You're not in the least worried about what's happening in the state, all you are worried about is the source of the news. Nawa for people sha. |
Honestly, what's happening in osun state is no longer funny at all. This started of as a joke but this is totally unacceptable. The state house of assembly should start by impeaching the governor. I wonder how we humans can be this heartless. The workers should not just sit and bemoan their fate, they should besiege the government house until all arrears are paid. Which kain nonsense be this. |
hakanai:I guess If it were all rosy in the north, your people shouldn't be down east here doing there business. My friend, have you nothing better to do with your time? If you want igbos to stay from your eldorado, then your people down here should start by doing same. |
morereb10:You're so pathetic. I guess igbos are the only ethnic group in Kano. Come to the east and see millions of hausa people there doing their business peacefully and legitimately. |
morereb10:You're so pathetic. I guess igbos are the ethnic group in Kano. Come to the east and see millions of hausa people there doing their business peacefully and legitimately. |
chuna1985:You took the bait, hook , line and sinker nwanne. You just quoted a legendary and an unrepentant NL ethnic chauvinist. I saw his mischief from a mile off. |
hakanai:It's just a shame that for someone who started off so intelligently had to end on an ethnic note. I guess you couldn't resist mentioning the igbos in your write up. Your are not worried about boko haram, you are not worried about those that kill at the slightest provocation, you are not worried about the teeming almajari in Kano, you are not worried about child marriage and religious intolerance, all you're worried about is the igbos. Come to Umuahia, aba, onitsha, nnewi and even my village and find your people in their millions. I don't see a struggling malam on the street as an enemy but a keyboard warrior in faraway " wherever it is you are" as the enemy. I want you to get this straight; No IGBO man cares If your types exist or not. |
tonychristopher:Not really sha. I would rather say anything from bauchi upwards may be regarded as ugwu awusa. Those in plateau state use hausa as a quasi lingua franca not because they are in any way hausas but because of the monolithic north of the yesteryears, besides do you stay in jos cos u seem coversant with the area. |
chizobamgbume:Sure nwanne. Udo. |
NOBLEDANDY:Take it easy bro. Even if an hausa man knows how to speak igbo, he doesn't go about speaking it to his brethren. In case you misundestood me, my grouse is not with nwafors speaking hausa but communicating among themselves in hausa for any reason is what i'm totally against. Peace. |
uduokirika1:The solution is simple my brother..... Let's be proud of who we are, what we have and where we come from. We must be proud ambassadors of igboland wherever we are found. K'anyi na atapia igbo ebe obuna anyi no. If you see two hausa or yoruba guys on the street of awka, nnewi, onitsha or nkpor, you don't hear them speaking igbo to themselves even if they were born and bred in igboland. So let's go and do likewise. |
NOBLEDANDY:I strongly believe that you're educated and thus civilized. If you can't talk to me in a civilized manner, please don't quote me. I'm not really against anybody speaking hausa as they are entitled to the freedom of expression. What i'm strongly against is a scenerio whereby two nwafors will be communicating in hausa.......this scenerio is regretable and unfortunate. You can never see two hausa peeps communicating in igbo be it in onitsha, nnewi, awka, abagana etc. |
