Noted. Happy sunday
Nobody is trying to witch-hunt you here but you must learn how to take corrections. What you and Nnewi1stSon did is highly inappropriate. A sizable number of us here also grew up in the north and I don't think speaking hausa to your brother is a thing to be proud of.

That's the way to go bro. I grew up in jos but it will be totally insane for me to speak hausa to an igboman. For those defending this unfortunate thing, well I've no word for u for now.

Lol..as much as I think cjrane went a bit too far I understand where he is coming from..an experience I had in owerri 10yrs ago explains it..we were entering a viewing center and there was some disagreement btw the owner of the event center and an imsu student who obviously was and born and brought up in Lagos and his name is Igbo was from the exchanges I was hearing..then those of us who knew the owner of the place prevailed on him to allow the student want the match and a friend I was with paid for the student..then instead of the imsu student to just relax and watch match he started this small opening raking and ranting for about one minute...nobody talked to him only for him to end the raking with shouting some Yoruba sentences(like the ones you hear area boys drop at times in Lagos cheesy)..

O boy want happened next lipsrsealed
What a shame bro. Amadim ife di n'anya ndigbo mgbe ufodu.

by stigmatizing your fellow brothers for derailing instead of calling them to order and correcting them abi? so much for a "TRUE ARTICULATE IGBO"

If you had understood my stance i was pleading that the stigmatization was long over due, and not your Arabic caricature of a comment with respect to what happened days ago!!!!!!!!

As for the respect I have for you- ----------------------still booting---------------------
I respect your contributions on this thread but I can't keep quiet in the face of what you're trying to defend. Speaking hausa to your brother is nothing to be proud of. You will never find two northerners speaking igbo to themselves. I don't seem to understand what fuels this your sense of nationalism and patriotism. We must not let our culture suffer in the face of misplaced nationalism. When you think you've seen enough of strange things from my people, they reinvent another.

And the way to go about this is to ostracize people who would likely serve as spies in the event of another scuffle with the north? You sure are brilliant! smiley
Bro, nobody here is trying to ostracize you in any way but to say the truth.........it's not proper for two igbomen to be communicating in hausa for whatever reason and this is nothing about tribalism. I grew up in the north too but I don't think speaking hausa to a nwafor is a thing to be proud of. I just want you to take a second and Imagine two hausa peeps speaking igbo to themselves. You and I know to well that such is impossible. So for two nwafor to be doing such calls for concern.

Dude,
I don't need your interest nor you to respect me. I get a lot of it amongst people that matter.I am not here to be respected.
Now, i will repeat again incase you missed this from my previous posts. I am here to engage constructively with other TRUE Igbo people. I will not be afraid nor cowed by your threat to withdraw your "respect". Whatever that is worth. I am not here to be respected by any faceless person no matter their gender or tribe.
My aim here is to rub minds with others to ponder the Igbo position in this unfortunate country and articulate the way forward.
Thou I don't subscribe to tribalism but I perfectly understand how you feel about two nwafor speaking hausa to each other. I grew up in jos and can speak hausa, but I won't be caught dead speaking hausa to a fellow igbo man. It's really unfortunate to even discover that people who do this are so proud of it. Have you ever wondered why a vast majority of this hausa people in the east refuse to learn igbo even after many years of been in igboland. You can speak hausa to an hausa man when you see him, but the case of two igbo man interacting in hausa is a shame. Just for a second Imagine two aboki interacting in igbo..........If that's possible to you, then you can go ahead with what you're doing.

like as i said you are being mischievous. i have earlier seen several pictures those areas you posted, it is clear that they are old pictures because a particular guy called frank on this thread has posted recent pictures of that same areas and his is entirely different from yours. i have concluded that you are just posting old pictures to get at someone and not that you are genuine.
My guy, stop wasting ur time on that nobody. You can't pacify an enemy. If he has any personal beef with anambra state, he knows where the no. 1 man in the state resides. I've seen several critics on this thread and i really appreciate their criticism cos it's borne out of genuine concern. This guy's criticism is not welcome cos it's obvious he doesn't mean well for da state.

Why do i have a feeling that this Nedu09 aburo onyeigbo. Imagine writing igbo as ibo. I still don't blame him in any way cos his actions must have being caused by something. I have said it before and i'm going to repeat it again and again..... Chino must stop acting like a kid. Going over to another igbo thread to vent ur anger based on personal beef will never solve anything. If u learn to keep your emotions in check, total sanity will return on this thread. Those guys are feeding fat from the attention you're giving them. Ever since you started returning fire for fire, it has not stopped this ugly trend. I know you luv anambra state alot, but you gotta learn how to overlook alota things. Going over to imo or enugu thread to retaliate will only worsen the situation. You need to calm down a bit..... And to you @ Nedu09, to say i'm ashamed of you is an understatement. I don't know what to make of this your new found hatred for anambra state. I wouldn't judge a wonderful state like imo or enugu based on the attitude of a nonentity like you. Nobody is claiming that ndi anambra have arrived but we're making progress all round. You mentioned peter obi in support and at the same same time asked those that does not support him not to mention him since his he's left office for over a year now. so its only peter obi supporters that should bring his name to this thread? This is why I dont take you guys serious
Isn't it obvious to you that there are those who see obi as an icon and a hero. This back and forth argument is not going to change that fact. To you obi is a villian and to them hes a hero. Let's leave it at that as this constant bickering is not helping the thread. If you've an issue with obi and you also have an evidence, take it to the court. We are here to discuss anambra state's development and it's incomplete without obi. Ciao.

For those armchair critics who wants awka to turn into dubai overnight, you must understand that success begins with a step and that step has been made by peter obi. If not for anything, he wrestled anambra from the grip of political godfathers. We won't be here today talking about development if the likes of chris uba and emeka offor still held sway..... Incase the critics have forgotten, peter obi has gone for over a year now so quit mentioning his name here maka ugbo oganiru anambra steeti apuola. If you choose to remain in the past, goodluck then.

I don't know what you wish to achieve with all these. I don't know where you're from but it's obvious you are not happy with anambra state. The fact that ibu onye igbo worsens the issue. If 'outsiders' where doing this, i won't bat an eyelid but for a nwafor to be doing this leaves a sour taste in my mouth. For the sake of peace bike choro uzo.

I thought you should've known who chino is by now. Hes psychopathic and has a false sense of personal worth. We ndi anambra should ostracize chino cos it's apparent hes not happy about the progress and sanity of this thread. But that is not entirely true sir....
Even though, prior to colonialization most Igbos lived in little ibdependent steads isolated from one another and dotted all over the land, they still had some history of clashes and attempt at domination with some of their eastern neighbours.
Now, imagine what would have been the case, if they were an empire building people with a civilization of note..
Sir, if you don't mind, can you list 1 of such clashes.

I saw your earlier post on Uga people. I know you must have drawn your unfortunate conclusion based on chino's psychopathic behaviour. I'm from Uga and I must tell you that I'm not pleased with your assertion that something is wrong with Uga people. Freeglobe and I are good ambassadors of Uga and do not in any way share chino's or uba's family sentiments. I personally detests the uba family thus I wouldn't want you associating there madness with Uga people. As for chino, I personally think the guy is mentally unstable. I've told him before that there is no way every body will be wrong all the time.......... And to you @oneeast, you're gradually becoming a pariah and very soon, your're going to be alone. There is no way you're going to be right all of the time. You seem to thrive in the atmosphere of rancor and pandemonium. If you're not fighting freeglobe today, it's zonacom tomorrow and Nnewi1stSon the day after. You only agree with people that tell you all is well with Anambra. You hate constructive criticism and believes that anybody who doesn't agree with you is an enemy. You mess up Imo and Enugu all for personal vendetta. I think it's time we ostracized chino for the sanity of this thread.

There are other well meaning Uga natives like freeglobe and I here on this thread. You do not negotiate from a position of weakness. For now the igbo nation is weak.
We have to look inward and subtly act as if Nigeria does not exit and work towards development and self sustainance.
I agree with you in whole. You cannot negotiate from the position of weakness. The state governors of the 5 eastern states must start putting measures on ground to ensure that we are financially and economically self-sufficient now. Anambra and Abia made the commercial and indusrial hub of the east, Ebonyi and Enugu made the agricultural hub and Imo state made the tourism and hospitality hub. I must really commend the governors of Enugu and Anambra state for what they have been able to do so far. We must avoid accidental leaders like Elechi and T.a. orji. With this, we're on our way to being independent while in Nigeria.

Ndiigbo are not empire builders, we have no history of conquering and assimilating non Igbo groups as a unit, where exactly did the myth of Igbo dominance and land grab emanate from?

Even people with history of village empires building, expansionism and conquering of neighboring groups keep shouting about Igbo land grab, until the whole country came to see this as the truth.
Nna ife nkea gwurum Ike. Igbos and dominance in one sentence.... If you're looking for such kind of people, look no farther than the Fulani. Any land an igbo man acquires outside igboland is neither by intimidation nor by land grabbing. He pays for everything he makes use of. If every other ethnic groups in Nigeria sees life the way an igboman sees it, there won't be strife and bloodshed in this country. The ills of the igbos in this country can only be resolved by having a country of their own.

Lol. I'd be concerned and apprehensive about any prospects of a long-term political alliance with Ndigbo if I were in the shoes of your non-igbo neighbors.

Such fears are not without justification, considering historical precedence and the overly aggressive and arrogant manner with which some militant igbos engender hostility in their relations with some of their neighbors.

Take the whole Lagos "no mans land" issue for example. If the igbos can exhibit the effrontery to lock horns with a major ethnic group like the Yorubas over ownership of Lagos in the Yorubas own region, how much more would they intimidate and dominate their more timid SS neighbors? It's a no-brainer, really.

I'd be seriously apprehensive about Ndigbo domination too if I were your neighbors.
I actually wanted to insult you but had to restrain myself. Igbos and intimidation in one sentence. There is something about igbos other ethnic groups fail to understand. An igbo man does not wake up thinking.........how am i going to intimidate my neighbor today he simply does not have the time and strength for such. An igbo man's life is simple......He wakes up, he prays and proceeds to make money. The igbos have been in contact with the ijaws, ibibios, annangs, ikweres etc. for centuries now and it's not on record that they ever intimidated any of the above mentioned groups. Young man, it will be in your best interest to stop spewing trash.
