Forget it, Yoruba would never attack igbos because we know they won't attack us either. It's just mouth, though we don't like their boastful nature but it won't degenerate to anything.
AfonjaConehead:
That guy is definitely not a true Igbo person,he's certainly a mole out to cause trouble and unfortunately everyone is falling for it.

As for you,may God grant you that trouble that you so much are wishing for,may be grant it to you in abundance

Politics / Re: It Is Not About Debate by simeonaussie: 6:36pm On Dec 21, 2018
Thank you for this. I said non of the debaters provided how(strategy) they would solve the problems, they were all talikng about the problem, and some funny people were all clapping. I don't need to watch the debate to know Nigeria problem, all I heard was I will revive manufacturing. The unintelligent youths couldnot ask how they?. We need practical solutions to the prpblems, and not noises making round everywhere.

I find it difficult to see youth who questions most of the bogus promises by the political elites. All I hear is mr A won the debate when all the participants were clueless, and do not know how to solve the stated problems. Majority of the youths are as clueless as their leaders. Smh for Nigeria.

Politics / Re: Atiku Lacks What It Takes To Champion Anti-Corruption Drive – Ambode by simeonaussie: 11:14pm On Dec 20, 2018
grandstar:

Economic growth is not dependent on corruption to grow but good policies.

That is where Buhari got it completely. Ending corruption on its own will not lead to growth.

Buhari upon assumption of office introduced some economic policies which bordered on the height of economic illiteracy.

The first was the tight pegging of the Naira to the dollar at 197 to $1. This was economic suicide as a peg especially when foreign exchange inflows are declining fast due to crash in oil prices was practically madness.

Let me tell you why it was unwise

Imagine you go to the black market with 10m naira everyday to buy $10m. What will the rate be? Probably $1 - N1.

However one day you go with your N10m but the traders say that dollar scarce that all they have is $8m, will they exchange it at the same rate or you pay more .You'll most likely pay more.

That's what Nigeria was going through. The price of oil started going down and the foreign exchange earnings was dwindling.

The Naira started to fall in value from around 150 in June 2014 to around 200 as at 29th May 2015 when Buhari took over.

This was only reasonable considering the fall in oil prices from over $100 to $35 at one point.

Buhari upon assumption of power pegged the exchange rate at 197. This made no sense. He said he has not seen where devaluation has helped any country. Its akin to saying that you have not seen where 1 + 1 = 2 has helped anyone. Does it still change the fact that 1 + 1= 2 is right?

I knew the economy was in the hands of an economic illiterate and I immediately wrote off the economy. The economic collapsed that followed was no surprise.

Soludo and Sanusi were quick to condemn this hubris. Sanusi was extremely vocal and consistent in his condemnation that the FG said they won't join issues with him.

Many countries have boomed despite high levels of corruption simply because they had good policies.South Korea and Taiwan were quite corrupt but today are rich countries. Even China which lifted 700m out of poverty over 40years had lots of corrupted but boomed because it introduced pro business policies that attracted lots of investors to the country.

Atiku's policies are pro business and are an economist dteam. Economic growth will grow by about 7% yearly(which is good) if just 2 of those policies are implemented which are lowering of company tax and ending the multiple exchange rates Buhari introduced

I'm apolitical but I'm very interested in economics and the economy. In 2015, if I was to vote it would have been Buhari
What is penalty for curruption in China please?
Politics / Re: Atiku Lacks What It Takes To Champion Anti-Corruption Drive – Ambode by simeonaussie: 1:14pm On Dec 19, 2018
If curruption thrive, and economy booms, you are only myopic with your view(it is short time thinking). The economy would eventually crumble; We should not use today`s convenience to destroy our future. I just pity those who are shouting "let curruption returns" because they believe economy would be vibrant again, due to the fact that Thieves would move in stolen fund without been questioned

Politics / Re: Who Won The Vice Presidential Debate: Yemi Osinbajo Or Peter Obi? VOTE HERE by simeonaussie: 4:41pm On Dec 16, 2018
Princetammy:
Sentiment aside Osinbajo won the debate... Obi tried though but I expected more from him. Obi is been overrated and although the debate he was just focusing on how to score cheap political point.
I know we still have some smart young people, you are an example of those smart ones. Obi was just throwing statistics and talikng about the problem which we all know anyway. He didnot mention how he intends to tackle the problems, he has no idea of how the problems could be solved, just echoeing the problems, just what dumb Nigerian youths want to hear. Smh

Hi Simeon,

It will be assessed as 4 yrs and 10 months. But point can only be claimed for less than 5 years.

If you are however still in the employment and your birthday is further than 11th February (relevant draw date), I will advise you assess immediately (after making sure your points are enough to get you ITA), Otherwise, have a rethink and look elsewhere.

Note that your years of experience will continue to count after assessment as long as you are still on the same job role.

All the best.

Someone with experience of 4 plus 10 months would assessed as 4 years or 5years. I need to know because I will be 33 early next year, and have just booked my pte for December. I want to know if I could still get points enough for an accountant.

Good afternoon.

I have been an anonymous follower of this thread, I have decided to give Migration to Australia a priority this year.

Details of my resume below:

AAT (2007)
BSc. Appied Accounting(2014)-Oxford Brookes University, UK. Is this equivalent to Australia Bachelor?
ACCA(2016)

I started working immediately in finance role since 2008, Someone can help me if this would be relevant.

Senior in the house, ehat do you think about my chances, especially with the current trend in Accountants` score. Do you think it would still come down someday?
