There are a few potential reasons why a person who has been abducted may be reluctant to attempt to leave or escape from their abductor, even though the situation is unethical and illegal:
Stockholm syndrome - In some cases, victims can develop a psychological alliance with their abductors and even defend them. This is an unhealthy trauma response. Fear of retaliation - The abducted person may be afraid that if they try to escape, the abductor will harm them or their loved ones in retaliation. Feelings of shame or guilt - Victims sometimes blame themselves, which can make it harder to leave. Dependency on abductor - If the victim has been isolated for a long time, they may feel dependent on their abductor for basic needs. Manipulation and grooming - Skilled abductors can use psychological tactics to manipulate and groom their victims over time to comply. Traumatic bonding - Forming emotional ties during intense trauma and a power differential.
However, it's important to state clearly that abduction is never the fault of the victim. The abductor is always fully responsible. Leaving safely should be the top priority whenever possible.
Seems like an irresponsible law because according to google, "The penis is left intact. Men who are castrated often are still able to have an erection and may be capable of intercourse. Their sex drive is diminished because the testicles are no longer present to produce testosterone. But the drive is not eliminated"
This sounds ridiculous, longer sentence or death penalty should be the only options.
Is possession of firearms now legal in Nigeria? if it's let me know where I can buy my own AK-47 because it's like we are all now mad in this country!!!
This story is very annoying. I can't believe the girl's wards had the audacity to press charges. Your daughter had sex with 6 people in the span of a month. That is more than what some married couples have in a year and you had the audacity to press charges?!
In case you are not aware statutory rape affects both genders. If it's proven that she had sex with 6 minors, she is culpable of service six terms for statutory rape too.
First of all her parent should serve some kind of punishment for such a bad job done. Everyone of those minor should be sent to some kind of monastery or convent to reprogram their brains.
Why juvenile home.. throw that devil's spawn in a maxi facility.. let him pick soap for the rest of his miserable life
You do realize that statutory rape affects both male and female if they are both under the age of consent. Meaning that, there is likelihood they both "pick soap" in prison.
And, can you explain why your are such a spiteful, hateful POS. I don't understand. Have you met this Itoro fellow in the past. In the article, was it mentioned that the lady didn't consent? Must your spread that your disease called hate here!
