femijohn21: The truth of the matter is that 2017 set of NTI PGDE is yet to see their result let to talk of having a statement of result. The 2018 set which I belong to us also pending, now 2019 if not have completed first semester exam they will also join the queue. That doesn't concern NTI as they will soon start selling for 2020 whereas all these results are still pending. At this juncture, YOU CAN FOLLOW YOUR MIND MY BROTHER. I am a victim, 2017 since then, no result,no statement. It's really terrible. I am regretting it. |

bunmishontelle: 1/2 ÷ 1/4 You reverse the position of 1/4 on the right hand side to be 4/1 1/2 × 4/1 Then multiply horizontally 1×4 =4 and 2×1=2 so 4/2 which is 2
The second one 2 1/2 ÷ 1 1/2 Change them to improper fractions first. 2 1/2 will be 2×2=4 +1=5 so, 5/2....do the same for 1 1/2 = 2 ×1 =2 + 1= 3 /2
Now you have 5/2 × 3/2 Multiply horizontally again 5×3= 15 2×2=4 So 15/4 Or 3 3/4 Pardon my fractions i don't have a maths keyboard. Thanks so much, I am really grateful. But in the first example on the diagram, there's 3 1/3 instead of 2 1/2, does it mean that there's an error there? That's where I have an issue with. How did 3 1/3 on the diagram change to 2 1/2? Thanks so much. |

Please someone should help me out with this. The first example seems explanatory but the second one is confusing. Please someone should help explain the second one to me.

ExplicitConect: I see graduates on this thread looking for someone to take care of their needs. What value are you bringing to the organisation? Good evening all, please I need help. If you go for a job interview, and was later considered for employment but was asked to sign that you will stay for at least two sessions before leaving. You were given a yes or no option with a space for probable reasons. What does it really depict? From the environment, it's just a small nice school. I heard pay will be between 40-45k for a start. What will be your response? |

Evathyst: The way and manner this thread lost its relevance is still a thing of shock to me. Nowadays, the only post one sees here are; 'Somebody connect me with a teaching job'. 'I studied this and that'. 'I can teach so so subject '. For Pete's sake, you guys should just stop it! It's becoming nauseating.
The height of it is when someone will say 'I need any job even if it is a Teaching job'. Hian? . Another person in his delusional state of mind will advice a job seeker to just be dropping CVs at schools around him. Forgetting the ridicule, stress and financial drainage involved. Una dey try o!
Well, since the movers of this thread have decided to move their business elsewhere. What does one expect? In the absence of reasonable contributions, thought-provoking posts, career-enlightening discussions etc. Request! Request!! Request!!! Have become the order of the day. And like somebody once pointed; 'Insanity means doing the same thing and expecting a different result'. All of you folks posting 'I need a job' 'I studied this and that' 'I can teach this and that'. How far? Una don get job? Make una no constitute nuisance here abeg!
It is quite noteworthy to salute those indefatigable movers of this thread. Those people who still haven't given up despite the many absurdities going on here. Una well done o! Una matter self no go tire God. My friend Avicky, Oga Xfield, Sister Stenon, Aunty Pojomojo, Latestsunny, Aquablue, amongst others.
PS- Waiting patiently for all of you folks to start lecturing me about how unemployment has made you become desperate. Or those indomie graduates that will think of bashing me, una go die for my hand. So what's your suggestion? |

Evathyst: Request, request everywhere! This thread is fastly going into oblivion.
All of you guys requesting up and down should calm down o, it doesn't work that way. The conventional rule is that if anyone has a job opening, he/she will post it here. If my understanding serves me right, a thread like this should be for posting job and not littered with endless requests. Una no dey tire ni?
Gone are the days when we give interview tips, exchange ideas, career guidance and share experiences about the teaching profession. Nowadays, all I see on this thread is that 'I studied this & that, anybody with a job should contact me'. Make una let person hear word abeg. Hian? I am very sure you have a job that's why you are saying this. |

RealityShot: Vacancies in Port Harcourt
If you live around RUMUOKORO JN.
dust your shoes and walk along ELIGBOLO ROAD.
lots of schools are advertising for teachers , minders and drivers.
most are "apply in person" so be prepared for interview when you go to any of the schools.
St Helen's and Donelty i remember, others...
Good luck.
(REMEMBER PORT HARCOURT FAST JOBS ARE GOTTEN ON THE STREETS!)
keep submitting your CV to the "big" schools. The problem is not submitting CVS or getting invited. If you have somewhere already, especially if you are in the primary section, it's hard to attend interviews now that school is in session. Moreover, I have noticed that aall schools are the same, they come with one problem or another so one should go for very high pay so that you can cope with their stress when you remember the pay. |

Prince16: They ask ds question 4 a variety of reasons: 1. To know ur 'worth' 2. To know if they can afford u. 3. To know what to offer u. 4. It gives them a better leverage when negotiations for salary comes up. Let's say they normally offer teachers in dt school 80k, whereas ur last pay check was 40k, they can add 10k to ds which brings it to 50k. Its a win - win situation until u get into d system and u now find out dt ur colleague (who was employed at d same e with u) is getting 80k. Na dt time vexination go start!
If it has to do with owing of salaries or poor wages, there's nothing bad about revealing that. You have responsibilities. (Your parents /siblings are looking up to you to 'drop' something). U can tell them dt u believe working for/with then can help u realise ur financial and career goals. As per d career goals, ur prospective school nay be offering training packages, offer igcse exams, etc, whearas ur former school does not. Just do a background check of what ur prospective school have as advantage(s) over ur previous school and use it as reasons for choosing them.
Be watchful. Apart from d above mentioned, Whatever negative u say about ur previous employer, no matter how justifiable, may count against u in d long run.
Most schools do summer coaching.....but u nay ask. Its OK. RME right now! U expect them to say yes?. This is part of d background checks I mentioned earlier.
Don't, or else u raise unnecessary suspicion on ursef. Again, background checks
Its OK to ask
~pension (scheme)? ~13th month salary? ~health scheme (HMD) for staffs etc
Best wishes Thanks so much dprince. Your idea helped me a lot. |

Please wonderful people I need your help. What should be the right response to these questions from an employer. 1. The last salary you earned at your previous workplace. 2. Why you want to leave your previous work place. If it's because of poor salary or owing of salaries, should you state it? 3. What questions you have to ask about the school. Can you ask questions like this? a. Do staff come to school during holidays and does the school pay during holidays whether staff comes or not? b. Does the school owe salaries? c. Are there any ways to get extra income? d. Time of closing daily and whether it extends at any point in time or days. OR is it better to keep mute to avoid loosing the job.please tell me other reasonable questions I can ask if these ones are not okay. Thanks a lot. |

Oduok: Sure! it makes sense to include your "PGDE"-in-view in your CV. Let me as well use this avenue to highlight what you may not have known. NTI does not, cannot, and are not allowed to (by NUC) award PGDE. The programme you are currently running is PDE (Professional Diploma in Education). The PDE would qualify you to get teacher's registration with TRCN but you can't use it to further for your M.Ed. like those with PGDE. So if your objective is becoming a registered teacher, then the programme with NTI will suffice. But if you want a place in the academic authority as an Educationist then I think you need a PDGE from any NUC accredited university. Oh thanks a lot for the clarification. I am grateful. |
