it would be just great if Linkin Park could show up? They have a huge fan base, u kno. They appeal to not just rockers, hip hop heads too.
I think you can love rock and hip hop. Personally, I'm pretty eclectic when it comes to music. I do perhaps every genre but hip hop and rock/alternative are my favourites. Even some of the rock bands do hip hop as well. Mike Shinonda(Linkin Park), Kid Rock, Fred Durst (Limp Bizkit), Kevin Rudolf, Travis Barker(Blink 182). I think they go together pretty well!

I Looove coldplay, my no. 1 band. I would love to see linkin park, the fray, creed(they've broken up tho), 3 doors down, blink 182.
Kings of leon are okay. I've listened to a couple of their songs and its only 'use somebody' that i really like. Nickelback are too hard metal, Green day too but i like '21 guns' and 'wake me up when September ends'. I'm loving Owl City too. I dont really feel the ladies apart from Vanessa Carlton, Pink and Natasha Begginfield.

speaking good English and delivering good governance are not mutually exclusive. I would love a charismatic president that would command the respect of the international community. Infact, if we have this, 1/8 of our image problem is solved. CNN is a far reaching tv network and people will definitely make positive or negative inferences based on how a nation's number 1 citizen presents himself.

I've been on NL for a long time but as a guest but recently i signed up. I spend a lot of time here now. I love it cos of its naija feel.

majority of NLers wont cease to amaze me. I cant believe educated people, as i'm made to believe, are down playing the importance of speaking well, that is communicating in fluent and impecable English. All this talk about us not being the owners of English language is nothing but rubbish. English is our official language so you've just got to be good at it.
It is important for Mr Johnathan to speak well cos it affects us as a people and especially at a time we're tryin to rebrand

details bout the rock concert arent really clear yet but what i kno is that it will be called 'Lagos International Rock Festival' and it'll be coming up in the summer, details will become clearer as time passes. As for the bands coming, i only know of 'Kings of Leon'. I heard it on a rock show on radio so i can its quite reliable.

i'm a rocker and a hip hop head too. I havent heard of naija rock band. The only peeps that do somn close to rock in naija are djinee(sometimes), roof top mcs(i luv shock therapy), flo the rocker, niki laoye and some nu chic that did a song titled 'dreams'. Rock music havnt really been explored here and as for a rock concert, there'll be one in the summer and i beliv it will be a crowd puller. There are alot of rock fans in naija but we on the lay low cos its tryna grow.

peeps arent really into rock/alternative here. I luv rock but i'm not into Aerosmith, i'm mo of a modernist. Would have helped you if it were Creed, The Fray, Staind, Coldplay or any of the new bands!

cudnt download o, what a shame! It reaches a particular point 'n stops. I wanted to hear how he will flow on the 'i wanna rock' beat and then i can rate his skills. A lot of peeps hav killed that beat, i particularly like how Crooked I, and Cassidy killed it.
