Those on this thread that were pro-Pogba were reeling out his goals and assists as the reasons why he's worth that much. And they are right. Or you think of Pogba was the typical Makelele and Coqeulin DM, clubs will be willing to pay such an amount for him? What made Pogba such a hot property were his goals, assists, dribbles, ability to help out in attacks.if it was just to shield the defense, he's won't be chased all over the place. So why shouldn't I talk about his goals and assists? Take away that and he's just ordinary.


2. I don't know how to keep explaining this. I was just citing an example. It's about the performance not the player. How come out of all the time I've watched Sissoko I can point out one solid performance from him? Even wack players sometimes have epic moments attached to their names. It doesn't mean Sissoko is better than Pogba or that I rate Sissoko highly.

I for like begin dissect this your post, but it's not worth it. Even you couldn't deny that alongside Ramsey, Bale surpassed expectations, while Pogba was literally a ghost for France. Let's end the matter, let me stick with my views, stick with yours. Pogba is worth it to you, to me, he's not till he proves it.

5. There's nothing Pogba has done extraordinarily in the past and currently to have him worth that amount. Vidal is better off being bought at that than Pogba.
6. Can Pogba go on to justify that amount? Yes, he has the time, and with the right attitude and determination, he can over-justify the price tag. He's physically strong and have the right mix to excel, but for now, he's nowhere there. But I pray he does, I dont hate him, just his attitude of seeking for fame instead of allowing his feet do the talking.

First off, the issue was never about Bale. The issue was on Pogba. And I went ahead to state that no DM [emphasis on DM] is worth 100m pounds. I also listed one or two people that are worth that amount.

Whether Bale is worth that amount is another topic, what matters here, at least to me is that Pogba is not worth that amount, at least till he proves it.

Dembele, Medel, sissoko are not in same bracket as Pogba.

Everybody has who fits his ideas in a team. Mata was Chelshit best player and Mourinho sold him off. So, for me, if I'm made a coach, I won't buy Pogba for anything close to 90m pounds. No DM is worth it. Kante is better than Pogba for now and he cost way less.

I've watched countless counter-attacks under SAF, but Fresh off my memory is one match, I think against Reading (I'm not quiet sure), we were leading 1-o courtesy of Ororo. Then Reading gathered momentum towards the ending of that match and were pressing us like Agege bread trying to equalize. Then around the 90th minute, Ororo, Rooney and Tevez combined together to conjure up this brilliant counter that started right in front of our 18-yard box to end up in Reading's net. Immediately Ororo latched onto the through-ball heading for Reading's 18-yard box, I was just clapping coz I knew it was gonna end up in the net. Pure artistry footie.

we've tried getting wingers after CR.. from those who never came good (Obertan Tosic Bebe) to recent frauds like DiMaria and Depay.. and we've spent quite alot in recent years but dem just decide to be useless.. this is why we seem to be lacking in the wings ,, there's a dearth of useful natural wingers in this team and the coach's just gotta make do with the available players.. its not like we didn't try getting decent wing players..

But guys, don't you see we badly need a quality winger especially seeing we've none presently? Our counter-attacks died or terribly dipped with the departure of CR7 and Co. It's no coincidence that the likes of Barca, Madrid and Bayern have had lethal and exciting wingers in recent years who formed deadly partnerships that have catapulted them to glory.

Barca has Neymar and Messi flanking Suarez.
Madrid with Ororo and Bale.
Bayern with Robben and Ribery.

When these set of deadly flying wingers are on the pitch, they stretch their opponents, wear them out and have their opponents doubling up to contain them. United have none. Martial is terrible this season.

Pacy winger like Valencia has zero skills to destroy an opponent one-on-one. Good and skillful wingers are the architect of most counter-attacks. They make runs to start off the counter-attacks. A good example is CR7's third goal for Madrid against Athletico. See the way Bale made a run and Isco instinctively whipped the ball to him and he ran with the ball all the way into the 18-yard box of Atletico before squaring for Ororo who also matched his pace to be there on time to bury the chance. Now imagine if Rooney or Mata was Bale. They will just take one step and then turn around and kill a counter-attack that could have resulted in a goal. I doubt that apart from Martial, there's any other United winger that could successfully skin a full-back alive in a one-on-one position. Our attacks have dipped with our lack of quality wingers. Lingard with all his pace has little intelligence to beat opponents with it.

If I was made the United coach today, a Robben-esque winger along with a top striker will be my first priority.

No, MAta must start if fit, he is creative and has the tendency to always pop up with a goal or two. Lingard is best as a sub when the opposition are prolly tired and exhausted.
The only suspect is Blind who will be an obvious target for West ham, still have not forgotten about last season where he was responsible for our defeat.

West Ham play physical and brutish football. Mata will be easily subdued on that wing; and to play well he'll move into the number 10 position clogging it up for Mhiki and leaving Valencia to defend and attack all by himself. If I'm a coach, Mata will never be on my wings. I'd rather Rash or Lingard start there. Or even put Valencia there and use TFM as the RB.
