sniperwolf:GOOD! Here, you talk of "order of operations" not associativity or commutativity. Have a nice day. |
sniperwolf:Dear, Is Division commutative and associative? COMMUTATIVITY: a ÷ b and b ÷ a are they equal? ASSOCIATIVITY: a ÷ (b ÷c) and (a ÷ b) ÷ c are they equal? CHECKS: 6 ÷ 2 = 3 while 2 ÷ 6 = 1/3. They are NOT equal. 12 ÷ (6 ÷ 2) = 12 ÷ 3 = 4, while (12 ÷ 6) ÷ 2 = 2 ÷ 2 = 1. Also, they are NOT equal. DIVISION is neither associative nor commutative. |
buksaylor001 just updated his post with good explanation. PEMDAS adds the exponent/index operation to BODMAS, while BODMAS has Of which is same as Multiplication. P - Parenthesis and B - Bracket are the same. MD or DM, the same level of operation. Both are still almost the same and correct. You can use any of them that appeals to you and suitable for what you are doing. |
Mopolchi:Their interview I attended was for a lower position in 2010. The experience then may be of little or no value to this now, especially, considering that the panel can not consist of exactly the same people. But, I have this to say from that experience. 1) Follow general interview guidelines and be confident and cheerful. 2) Mind the subjects you made high grades in your SSCE. They may test your ability in those subjects. 3) Master your CV and be ready to explain in clear terms any area of it. Make sure your responses will tally with what you submitted in your CV. 4) Be prepared to defend the roles of the position you applied for. That is to answer role-specific questions. 5) Go through the WAEC website and master their organizational goals and be ready to include them carefully in your responses. Also master the member countries. 6) Be ready to answer questions like "Can we meet you?". This requires concise and smart introduction of yourself, like in your CV. 7) They are always careful about your dressing, salutation when you enter, facial contact, confidence and ability to recall information instantly. For the last one, they may introduce themselves when you enter and ask you after other questions to recall their names. Wishing you the best. |
IrradiatoR:OK. I think we have to relax then and wish the invited the best. The search continues. |
IrradiatoR:Have you seen or heard from any other person invited for interview, at least a 2nd person apart from this our brother here? Pls call those you have their contacts and see. |
Mopolchi:Congrats! My brother. I wouldn't have just expected the interview now that marking is ongoing and for WAEC to give you up to a week notice for interview. Once again, congratulations. Let others who have received the invite also indicate so that the uninvited will relax. Wishing anyone invited the best. |
IrradiatoR:I am yet to see one. |
Mopolchi:Bro, When is the interview holding and where? |
Possibly, the outcome of OBJ and GEJ visit and advice. |
DickDastardly:How I wish those prophesies help us to avert the disasters, especially if they are really from God. |
hemartins:Indeed. But to a typical Nigerian this Vulture is not ordinary. |
Plane Crashes After Hitting Vulture in Spain, 3 Killed By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS MAY 20, 2016 MADRID — Spanish authorities say three French people were killed when the light aircraft they were flying crashed in a small northern town after reportedly colliding with a vulture. A Navarra regional government statement said the two men and one woman died when the plane dived into a small plot between two houses in Arbizu on Thursday. The statement Friday said an eyewitness saw the plane colliding with a vulture before crashing. The government said the plane was flying from Coimbra in central Portugal to Dax in southern France. It said no one in the town was injured although several residents were treated for shock. mobile.nytimes.com/aponline/2016/05/20/world/europe/ap-eu-spain-plane-crash-.html?_r=0&referer=

cedar3:You've already done that. |
The calculations in the post are deceitful. 1. It makes use of the parallel market exchange rate in Nigeria and the official exchange rate in those other countries. The official exchange rate in Nigeria is N199/$, making the price of fuel in dollars $0.73/L. 2. The minimum wage and general salary structure in these are not comparable. 3. Why didn't the post mention countries where the writer agrees that fuel is cheaper for us to compare too. Must it be one-sided analysis? This fraudulent analysis is meant to deceive the public. |
A great lesson. |
DaudaAbu:You got your calculations wrong. 1. The government announced price of <=N145, which makes N145 the official price, since we know that you can't get it anywhere for less than N145. 2. The percentage increase is calculated on the old price and not the new price. This is because it is the value from where the increment is made. Hence, the rate is (145 - 86.5)/86.5 = 58.5/86.5 = 67.6% Therefore the increment is a 68% increment. |
Mopolchi:SSCE May/June ended yesterday, 13th May. Normally, members of staff posted to various parts for the conduct of the exam will return and scripts will be taken to the states were they will be marked. There's usually a small gap between collation of the scripts and the marking exercise, which will also involve all staff. Hopefully, they will use that little gap before marking for the interview. Going by this calculation, one will expect the interview to hold between ending of this May and June. This is only a personal assumption. |
Presbulg:Wise men attack issues while fools attack people. |
These are Boko Haram Herdsmen. They are only disguising as Herdsmen. Buhari knows about the move. |
They should be sincere to themselves and discuss the way forward for their people. Nigeria seems not to be a home for all her people. The people that you represent have right to life. Their interest should come first, even if it means Nigeria breaking. |
Invite for rescheduled CBT now coming in. Mine is 18th. |
Catalyst4eva:Going from Aba. What position? |
kizuwa:Yes. |
ofeco:Yes! Subject Officer - Maths |
Anyone invited to Enugu? That's my exam city. Let's chat. |
ruqoyah26:It may still come. I don't think that they sent all the invites as the SMS looks personalised. |
yak:I submitted through their state office in Umuahia. They will definitely do something about it. I suggest too that if nothing happens to correct this by Monday, you can visit any of their offices to let them know or find an email from their website. |
jamauldeen:Got the SMS before 7pm this evening. Subject Officer |
yak:Let's pray the message comes again or they send a backup email containing the details in the SMS. The SMS contains your exam centre, time and candidate ID, among other things. So it is important and unique for each candidate. |
Finally, WAEC has sent invite for CBT. Wishing us goodluck and God's favour. For those writing the test on Saturday, it is time to brainstorm. Let's get back to discussion on possible questions and preparation tips. Any idea on what to expect from WAEC? |
This is wickedness. One article that I read on-line shows that a certain Sunni's leader in Nigeria wrote Buhari before he was sworn in and asked him to carry out a clampdown on the this movement. If that is true, it is a premeditated crime against humanity and should not be wept under the carpet. |
