humilitypays: The problem is, Igbos are not even begging Ikwerres or other Niger Delta tribes to become Igbo or to accept that they are Igbos no.....of course UK comprises of English people, Irish, Wales....an Irish man will never accept that he is English but he will never deny UK or betray UK or English man when push comes to sholve but then when he encounters problem abroad or somewhere he runs back to UK and the English man defends him and pays for his crime, that is the issue.
Tell your people to stop that quick denial of Igbos after they cause trouble which Igbos still bear the brunt.
If an Ikwerre man commits a crime in the North or even abroad, nobody calls him Ikwerre man, nobody care about him being Niger Delta, they will tag him Igbo and start to maltreat every other Igbo person there just because of what an Ikwerre man or Agbor man or Ndokwa man or Ogwashi man or Anioma person did, and Igbos will never deny him that he is not Igbo but will stand by him even in crises, but let an Igbo man encounter a problem anywhere, Ikwerre, Ndoki, Agbor, Anioma, Ogwashi, and other so called Niger Delta people will deny the Igbo man asap!
It hurts. If this continues the new generation of Igbos are learning and are wiser, things will not continue to be like it is....they will have no option but to start denying these Niger Delta people..... Igbos don't defend Niger Delta people because of crude oil, don't be deceived Igbo communities also have crude oil....Igbos have been defending and even joining Southern Cameroonians to fight Northern Cameroonians marginalizing them.
Igbos have been speaking out for Middlebelt people despite they evil they committed against innocent Igbos living in the North in the 1966 northern pogrom.
Igbos even joined Liberians to fight during Charles Taylor era....Igbos joined South Africans to fight during White Apartheid.
My uncle fought for Burmakri.
Niger Delta should wake up, denying Igbos will not make Hausa-Fulanis nor Yorubas love you or treat you kindly and not marginalise and usurper your region gbam... |

BabaRamota1980: When Igbo say CHI and Ikwerre say CHI, are the two identifiers of exact same thing? When Igbo say CHUKWU and Ikwere say CHUKWU, are you both saying same thing? If not then you are different and separate cultures and people.
It will do Ikwerre good to find new identities in culture and language that is distinct and does not share reference with meanings and terms in Igbo. gbam!!! |
Politics › Re: Okpanam Killings: Ohanaeze Moves Against Reprisal Attacks On Igbos In North by sircatherine45(m): 10:49pm On May 15, 2020 |
awgumayor: You can't blame Ohaneze, they are trying to avoid another reprisal attacks as happened in 1966. An Okpanam man from Anioma but entire Igbo bear the brunt. Even if Emeka from Agbo, or Emeka from Ikwerre, or Emeka from Etche killed a fulani, Hausa/fulani will not ask Emeka living in the north are you from Agbo or ikwerre, etc before they kill him. What they know is that Igbo killed a fulani. You don't expect Ohaneze to come and tell the Arewa Youths, look, the Opkanam people are not Igbos please don't attack igbos in the north. Ohaneze will still stand for the resentful ikwerre despite their resentments. Igbos are big enough to forgive and protect their prodigal sons. best comment so far... |

humilitypays: Exactly!!
People like him think because they live in the US or UK or wherever they live outside Nigeria, it makes them more civilised, more exposed and more successful and knowledgeable than those in Nigeria which is a stupid thinking of mostly young boys that managed to travel abroad by chance through either visa lottery, sham marriage or by chance process.
Anybody earning NGN400,000 and above in Nigeria is far better than most Nigerians living abroad.
With a monthly income of NGN500,000, you will live a very comfortable life of your dream in Nigeria and even go for vacation abroad, but you will see these guys doing up to 3 jobs and overtime abroad coming online to brag and feel like they are now rich, not knowing that most of us here now do vacation abroad and also have friends and families living abroad that envy us back home.
I live in Nigeria and I am more civilized and more comfortable living my dream life than most people living abroad who work their ass off hourly to earn wages whereas people and money work for me....I treat everybody around me with respect and dignity not because I live abroad but because I know what is right and wrong...so I don't need to live in the US to treat my wife well and make her enjoy her marriage to me.
My immediate elder brother who also lives here in Nigeria changed his wife's car around February to a latest model car...and just because he was transferred to another state....he changed their generator to a brand new automatic starter generator so the wife won't labor to on the gen whenever light goes off.....the wife is living larger than most of her friends living and married to guys abroad....yet these op was here talking nonsense
The op really angered me that I tried to restrain myself from giving him a direct attack that would make him deactivate his account on this forum, what nonsense is that!!
When did living abroad translate to being the best or being wiser and more civilised than those in Nigeria.
I am writing a book on this nonsense practice Oyimbo is doing; their hypocrisy of castigating patriarchy practiced in Africa while promoting matriarch practiced by the west; what is the difference
If they want equality, then don't be bias by giving women upper hand in marital cases......make it equal treatment and equal judgment if u write the book finish, holla me |

so before I used to think south Africa was all Zulu and "mzansi" and those people in "Gods must be crazy" I think khoisans or san is the appropriate term can't remember(heard bushmen is offensive)
Yeah Nigeria is very diverse, just that Yoruba and igbos are much with hausa/Fulani being the largest and the first two spend all the time on the internet doing ethnic quarrels and others ethnic issues, well we are found in Edo state,we are related to the benins kind of how scotish is related to english we both and others make up the edo people which makes up the tribes that encompassed the former benin kingdom,we are very friendly and hospitable, and travel a lot,we have a lot of our people in the west especially europe and some in SA too
