Jobs/VacanciesRe: Pwc Graduate Recruitment Nigeria – 2013 by SirGbogs: 6:34pm On Apr 01, 2013
presiade: I did 30 Questions in numerical test. The questions were normal ratio, graphs, word probs, etc.
Wow. Will it be safe to say they are changing their style? I wrote both on Wednesday or so last week; 18 questions in 25 minutes for the Numerical section. So, if you attempted 30 questions, it means they are changing their game.

For anyone who has not written it, you'd better hurry up and write it before it becomes 50 questions (pun intended). All the best sha.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Pwc Graduate Recruitment Nigeria – 2013 by SirGbogs: 2:36pm On Apr 01, 2013
presiade: Did mine saturday/sunday overnight. Was only able to do 26 outa 30 questions in the numeric test, but finished the verbal.
The questions are quite simple, but you've got to be v. Fast and accurate to do well.
Good luck to us all.
I think the numerical section is actually 18 questions, and not 30 questions. This is unless there are different question formats for different people.

No, I don't think it is. The event is just holding in Lagos.

Yup, registered already. Snip a picture of the error message and post it here, maybe someone can help with it.

Wow. It seems they've closed it for the position of Field Engineer in Nigeria. You can still do a comprehensive search though. Search through student and graduate oppurtunities.

I noticed that there is an oppurtunity for Field Specialist, but it is not a graduate position; 2 years experience or so. All the best
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Bank Of America Recruiting Participants for Presentation by SirGbogs: 4:37pm On Mar 29, 2013
Aafulenu: correction, its not a recruitment, its just and advert for a senima/presentation on financial matters. for students and graduates who are interested in a career in finance. its just for 3hrs and ur tfare would be paid if u are selected to attend.

so no carry am for mind say na job. its a presentation
Thank you for your correction. However, toksdara is kind of right. If you refer to the second picture he posted, they did mention that "The team will be available during the session to tell you more about our bank, its culture, the career opportunities available to you and offer advice on how you can become the next generation of leaders in this field". Toksdara himself did mention that "Register here for a chance to work for Bank of America". It is more than "just and advert for a senima/presentation on financial matters". It is an oppurtunity for anyone to join this global firm. I know of a friend who is now with Goldman Sachs, and his career journey started from a similar "presentation" in Lagos. So please, do not mislead people who come around to see this post. They might not be coming around with offer letters, but it is a means to an end. This is the first step to what could be a wonderful oppurtunity to have a global career at the bank.

wordthots: Hey guys, was going through my system yesterday and stumbled on a material which i got from a friend last year and i think it wd be helpful for the PWC tests. it teaches you a few things about personality tests, numerical reasoning, verbal reasoning tests etc and even has examples

Obviously, its totally free; but there's just one setback, I don't have constant internet access so i can only send to a few people ( probably just the E-mails i can see on this page). For those who get it pls kindly send to others.

All the best y'all

Godbless

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Structure Of Pwc Personality Test by SirGbogs: 5:22pm On Mar 24, 2013
wordthots: just did a little research ds mornin and found out SHL also conducts personality tests. i would advise that you take d test seriously and prepare for it too, cause i heard it goes a long way in d recruitment process. contrary to popular beliefs of dese tests nt avin answers, dey actually do and ur answers shd always be tailor made to fit the companys structure.
The SHL site itself is very helpful i think u shd chek it and practice the sample test questions (you will need good internet connection and about an hour to get it done). i did ds mornin n from the report they sent me i have an idea of my weak points.

all d best
Yeah exactly, could you put the link to the site here? Thanks

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Must One Wear Suit To An Interview/apptitude Test??? by SirGbogs: 12:43am On Mar 05, 2013
gparker: Not necessarily, I often go for the casual corporate look. Not too casual, not too corporate. I've never been a suit person because of the hot weather in naija and I realize most interviewers won't crucify you or put you down because you didn't wear a suit (if you can pull off the casual corporate look).

Your dress code may also depend on the industry for example the banking industry loves the suit thing. Why don't you try the simple but cute gowns you can wear to work on a normal day, there are the kind you can also wear to church because it's decent & cute. Try that with a pair of high heel covered shoes.

Good advice, but it's often refreshing to see a candidate turn out differently but nicely without adorning a suit it's become so tiresome to see applicants all show up in the same attire (i.e the suit). I personally admire the ones that are bold enough to bone the whole suit thing and still look stylish & presentable, they stand out from the crowd. And if there's one thing you want to do at interviews it is to stand out, if you can make that happen with your appearance you've got a fighting chance at getting the job.

But OP don't make it all about your appearance oooo.
Very wonderful advice. Even I have learnt something this morning. Thanks.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Must One Wear Suit To An Interview/apptitude Test??? by SirGbogs: 12:08am On Mar 05, 2013
I haven't been to a lot of interviews, but I don't think you can go wrong with a suit, or else otherwise stated by the interviewer. I think somewhere on this forum, I read of an interview where the applicants were told to come in traditional wear or something like that. A suit is very formal, best to go with it.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Interswitch Interview Format Needed!!! by SirGbogs: 5:52pm On Feb 19, 2013
okemi: It went well. There nothing much 2 be scared about. It started like this:
All the candidate would be invited into a meeting room.
After which they ask you one by one to talk about your self and ask u guys again what you have to offer and if u they employ you the department you would love to work in.
Lastly they asked if you know any of their product and if u have any question to ask them. That's all.
Nothing much
Wow. Thanks a lot for the info.

No judging here. What is the model of your laptop? You can add RAM by buying additional sticks. It is imperative you know the max it can handle though before buying.

CareerRe: Why Don't Nigerians Like Using E-commerce? by SirGbogs(op): 4:25pm On Oct 03, 2012
Ufeolorun: The issue here is confidence,No matter the policies and adverts placed about electronic transaction,if people are not confident about the process they won't use it.
1 Am I gonna get what was advertised
2Am gonna get it delivered on time as agreed.
3 Can I change my mind and get my money back. Money back guarantee isn't just a slogan, you need to have a concrete, believable money back arrangement
4 time frame to sort out any of the above issues if they arise especially 1 and 3
If you can develop a framework which answer all these questions then you r well on your way.
Ebay, detailed specification, feed back system and the paypal are the biggest reason I shop on ebay with ease.
I only buy stuffs directly from Amazon(mostly books) cos I am not really comfortable with the structure of their trading platform.
That's very helpful, thank you.
CareerRe: Why Don't Nigerians Like Using E-commerce? by SirGbogs(op): 4:22pm On Oct 03, 2012
Nigerians use a lot.
Alright, I'll check it out. Have you used it? If yes, why that and not other sites like awoofshop.com, etc.

Jamji: if you want you to take over amazon, its about going to the grassroots and talking to the average man about your project. a friend just gave up being an agent of one lagos ecommerce company because they werent doing enough to promote themselves locally or making an effort to campaign their product on the streets, so it will be difficult for him to urge people to use it.

1. Have you ever bought anything in Nigeria online from a Nigerian site?
Yes
2. If yes, what made you make the purchase online and from that particular site instead of physically?
the security of the payment mode
Security of the payment mode, that is a very vital aspect of any e-commerce site. What made you sure of its security?
