DrAkpamudehe:
Now that Tinubu is most likely going to be the next President elect of Federal republic of Nigeria, going by the results that are trickling in from the north. It is now clear that the igbos and obidients ,despite all the counselling and advice they were given to stick with PDP , have shot themselves in the foot, and will now be confined to the dungeons of political failures in Nigeria for the next 8yrs. If igbos and their candidate , Peter Obi had remained in PDP, we would have been at a better position considering the results that are currently coming out in the north, which are neither in the favour of PDP or labour party. We would have been in a better position to negotiate the vice presidency position with Atiku which would have placed PDP in a far better position to win this election. 99percent of labour party results were votes meant for PDP. This is sad

It is a shame, that my people never learn. It is a shame that despite the pleas and warnings from Igbo leaders like soludo and Arthur Eze, they refused to heed their counsels, and rather decided to disgrace their chi in this current election. As it stands now, PDP and labour party cannot emerge victorious and we have to make do with the imminent likelihood of a Moslem-moslem leadership for the next 8yrs. I am quite heart broken, because I warned my people, I warned these obidients that they were indirectly working for Tinubu without knowing, but they resorted to insults and threats. My country home in Agulu was vandalized by these headless mob shouting Obi Obi Obi, just because I told them the truth.

Ndigbo, when una go get sense? Is this a curse that we never fail to learn from history?

Quite unfortunate that you created a thread to display your senselessness. You are lucky not to lose and eye there. It would have been better for us

Unpaid Labourers are sure to devise reasons in support of this WICKEDNESS. Less than 36 months ago the war-chant was Atikulated, just because one of them was on the Atiku presidential ticket. Atiku Abubakar is one of the most hated politicians at the moment just because he has the audacity to stand up to Messiah Peter Obi! To Obi's compatriots, it's Nsogbu Nsogbu politics, according to Governor Soludo, or death. Their politics is undergirded by the emotions, expediency and inordinate aggression! Are there other people like our kontrimen East of the Great River anywhere in the whole wide global world! I dunno o!

Politics / Anambra State Government Owing Newly Employed Teachers Since November 2019 by sirklin(m): 3:13pm On May 24, 2020
Someone who is close to Willie Obiano should ask him why he has delayed the payment of his worker who were employed since November 2019.
The state employed workers into the ministry of education as teachers since November 2019 and since them nothing has been given to them. Even with the current situation in the country and World at large they are yet to pay them even if it was a month salary so they can sustain themselves. The so called governor has asked them to resume work.

Education / Why Some Nigerian Graduates Are Unemployed by sirklin(m): 12:09pm On Jun 23, 2017
People always complain that there is no job in the country, but if we are being honest to ourselves, we will agree that most graduates are 'unemployable'. This morning I came across a post on Facebook by a serving corp member, sincerely, I am still trying to figure out what she wanted to say.

Many would argue that English language is just a language and not a test of intelligence. Yes, if you are not fluent in it, at least write in that language you know perfectly.

Sports / We Didnt Expect Falcons Win Says Sports Minister by sirklin(m): 6:16pm On Dec 08, 2016
The Sports Minister, Solomon Dalung on Thursday said that Super Falcons winning the African Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON) trophy last Saturday, took the government by surprise as proper arrangements were not made.

According to him, funds were not available because the team was not expected to win the trophy.

The victorious female footballers expressed their disappointment in Abuja on Wednesday as they seized the trophy and refused to vacate their hotel rooms.

Speaking with State House correspondents over the embarrassing development, Dalung said that if the NFF was confident of the victory in Cameroon, it would have applied for and processed the funds for their bonuses early enough to avoid the ugly aftermath.

He said that government needed to perform a ‘surgery’ on the sports sector otherwise, similar occurrences are bound to happen again.

“It is unfortunate that we are celebrating victory of the Super Falcons amidst some bitter feelings among the players because of some administrative lapses that were not managed properly.

“If the situation was explained to these girls I don’t think the situation would have gotten to this level. But we are working round to clock to ensure that what belongs to them legitimately is given to them. This has to do with government process.

“One thing I always make clear is that the process of request for funds for sporting projects must come earlier to meet the objectives. Don’t forget that nobody even knew the team would emerge victorious, if we were confident they will emerge victorious, all the Federation would have done is to plan for process of participation and entitlement.

“It is already established in sports tradition, when you win this is what you are entitled to. The situation is highly unfortunate and I don’t like it. These girls have given confidence to women who want to embrace sports but this will go a long way in killing this laudable achievement. It is unfortunate but we will make sure the right thing is done,” he said.

Stressing that the team’s coaches are owed backlog of salaries, he said: “It is a complex situation but the entire governance of football deserves an urgent surgery. If that surgery is not done we will always live with the embarrassment. I’m talking about the governance of football administration in Nigeria.”

He pointed out that the issue of non-interference has been used to harass and intimidate government and that will no longer be allowed as the government is being embarrassed by the activities.

“They use it to scandalise the government so the man who is at the receiving end has the responsibility to ensure that things must be done right so we must take steps to ensure that money meant for athletes get to them on time as at when due.”

According to him, similar situation was prevented from happening during the last Olympic Games in Rio, Brazil as the government insisted that all athletes be paid their 22-day entitlements directly from government purse and not through their respective sports federations.

Yesterday, at Nsukka metropolis, in Enugu state, the Nsukka community was thrown state of confusion as a trigger itching police dropped a young man. I learnt that a group of the community's task force employed the services of the police force to help collect money from debtors. In the process one of the officers after releasing a gun shot in the air only to lower the gun another bullet escaped the nozzle of his gun to hit the young man on his head. He died instantly. The mob seeing what happened descended on the police man beating him black and blue. The mob sensing the police man might be dead took to their heels. Later, a group of policeman stormed the place and made some arrest and took the plump beaten colleague to Bishop Shanaha hospital.

I hope we still have conscious people in this country that can really think and jointly agree with me that these scavengers in the Niger Delta should be treated as terrorists and not Agitators.

Jonathan was in Government at the national level from June 2007 to May, 2015.

Can anyone Highlight his achivements in the Region?

1) They started Armenesty Program, thereby giving moneies to criminals monthly for doing nothing. The likes of Tompolo, Asari Dokubo, Boy Loaf etc were making Billions of Naira from that region, at the expense of the communities.

2) No meaningful development took place in the region.

3) The clean up didn't start under Jonathan.

4) No infrastructures were built.

5) The likes of Tompolo were busy acquiring Arms

6) Ipob was no where to be found

7) He had only Boko Haram to deal with, yet he failed woefully

Now under 1 Year of a new president that's ready to build Nigeria, all sorts of criminal groups came up.

he has to confront
1) Boko Haram
2) Fulani Herds men
3) Ipob
4) ND Militants
5) Some many other problems that were carryover.

We need to think deeply and leave sentiment aside, by supporting this government to fight sabotage.

Its for our own good

The brain is a free gift from God. Please try and use it. Most of these problems were created by this present administration

Comparing the both is like an insult to Achebe. The question is, what has Adichie written to give her a seat close to Achebe. She is good, no doubt about it, but in the world of literature Achebe is a god. His works have been studied by many. THINGS FALL APART was written in a countless number of languages. What a feat to achieve!
