LiteratureRe: Chimamanda Vs Chinua Achebe, who Is A Better Writer by sirklin(m): 6:19am On May 05, 2016
Comparing the both is like an insult to Achebe. The question is, what has Adichie written to give her a seat close to Achebe. She is good, no doubt about it, but in the world of literature Achebe is a god. His works have been studied by many. THINGS FALL APART was written in a countless number of languages. What a feat to achieve!

In Igbo language we have an adage, 'onye aturu ilu kowakwara Mara na ego eji luta nne ya Nara niyi'. English version, 'when you tell someone a proverb and as well explain it to the person, he should know that the money paid as his mother's bride price is a waste'. No offence.

EducationSalient Procedure To Upgrade UTME by sirklin(op): 1:40pm On Mar 31, 2016
With the incessant increase of frustration on students by Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), I think it's of a serious necessity for the board to review their methods.

I am of the opinion that they should not only increase the validity of the result but as well look into the annual taking of the examination. One of the criteria for securing admission into any higher institution in the country is a UTME result which I believe has discouraged most of foreign students from securing admission in Nigeria (my opinion).

JAMB should consider taking the examination in three quarters of a year. This should enable the board adequately established an organized centers for Computer-Based Tests(CBT). Also it will reduce the population of students taking the examination at a time as well entirely reduce the feeling of waiting for another whole year to sit for the examination.

Nigeria is a country which delights in doing something over and over expecting a different results. The world is evolving and I think my dear country should follow the queue.
