Well said baba. This deal hunting is a funny kind of business. People advertise what they dont know its condition, hereby relying on pickers to do the check. Anybody that takes the risk should face the music. I've gotten clone phones and phones with Audio ic problem here, but I didn't come here to blast it. Aside checks like network and iCloud checks that could be easily determined. Other defects may not be detected. I got an s8+ with charging issue from a picker here last month. I didn't even complain to him. I had to change the panel cos I understood what is involved. If you are not ready to take some level of risk, you shouldn't even patronize deal hunters.

The money entered account, got text, email and also checked the app. It was there! And few hours later, it bounced back.

It happened to me before, in 2017, even banks wants to protect themselves from losing customers, they'll tell you the money was reserved but don't know if it was the network, they know what really happened but they're just trying to get themselves out of it so as customers will still have trust in them but they'll punish the person that did the job behind your back

I lost 320k then, until this today bank no find solution, ya'll are talking like technology can't be compromised

Why I detected that guy was a scammer is because he has shown the tactics scammers uses whenever they wanna scam and me as a CV boy, I go be the one to school u with new and old style of scams

So be careful about fake scam, best is if you receive alert instantly transfer that same amount into your other account, but you know what ? The scammers wont wait for you to do that rather they'll be rushing you to drop the item since they've paid, but if you do you're on own

I didn't put any of your suggestions in my list because they don't seem to support our resolve especially because it won't be easy to enforce. let me expatiate them point by point below.

1. how do you stop repeated ads? because people won't stop just because we say so and there's already a resolution that we want the ads inside the pickup threads, either repeated or not.

2. not inside pickup threads, and even on the deals thread, pictures can be sent via WhatsApp.

3. We can't really enforce the spacing rule, we can enforce all caps and all bolds.

4. Nothing is wanted inside pickup threads, even those that started deal hunting didn't start by posting it inside pickup threads, they had their personal threads and it worked quite well.

5. quoting an advert with "still available" is still the same as posting the ad or even adds more words to the post, so we don't want it at all.
