Goodlyhrt: Am I the only one who thinks Moses is the most consistent player for the blues in that he is more reliable than any chelsea player this season; the takeons, his cut back, assists and not to be ignored his defensive contributions all has been superb compared to Kante who does nothing than obstruct play His tackles and obstruction of play are the secret to our success so far this season. He is the missing puzzle in that midfield. He does his job perfectly. If u've been watching our games this season, u wouldn't be saying this. Kante is the backbone of our team and without his contributions, Hazard, Moses, Costa...etc will look ordinary cos they will be exposed and made to track back. Kante stops those attacks that may result to goals. Leceister city lost him and they are battling relegation. He may be small, but I duff my hat for this little man cos he is next to nothing. Moses is wonderful too, don't get me wrong, but kante isn't getting the credit he deserves. He is the unsung hero of that team. |

Akpevwe9: While I was browsing the net this evening with my itel S31, came across this and decided to share. Who speaks the best English in Africa? And the answer is Uganda. According to the world linguistic Agency, Uganda takes the cake for being the best English speaking African Nation. First off, the idea behind the best English speaking African nation ranking is in no way to slight any nation. Africa is a country of an entirely different culture from the west. So, it is understandable that some African countries are still not fluent in them. As a matter of fact not all the nations of the world fancy the English language. English language is the global/international language at the moment. Like we say, anything worth doing is worth doing well. There are 28 English speaking African nations. From these 28, the World Linguistic Agency made a list of those who speak the best of English language in Africa. Best English Speaking Countries In Africa:
1. Uganda
2. South Africa
3. Nigeria
4. Kenya
5. Zambia
6. Botswana
7. Zimbabwe
8. Malawi
9. Ghana
10. Rwanda
11. Sudan
It is also worthy to mention that as some countries were not colonized by the British, their Lingua franca differs. It will be asking too much to expect fluency from them. How are u proud of this low end phone? People like us wey dey use HTC 10 or others using galaxy s7 series and iPhone 7 go come do wetin? |

mapet: You have moved from a position of crass ignorance to shifting the goal post. You first made a false assertion , you then justify smugglers' acts....now you bring in myriads of excuses that are out of context....... is it for the sake of argument I gave instances not excuses. mapet: And so they should continue in illegal acts? @HAH, see what I mean by our eroded value-system? What is illegal. We are not a producer of tyre, we still ban used tyres. Y not ban used vehicles too cos they come with used tires. What I expect them to do is specify the quality of products to be imported not outright ban cos we produce nothing cos of our epileptic power supply. Companies have left Nigeria cos of our governments inability to provide us with steady power supply. Y do u make useless laws when you know you haven't done your part. Billions have been spent on this so called energy sector and we still have nothing to show..."which way Nigeria" |
Business › Re: Customs Breaks Rice Shops In Ogun, Seize 4,550 Bags Of Rice by sirlop(m): 9:44am On Feb 23, 2017 |
HAH: Yes operating in Nigeria is tough, but that doe not justify illegality, beside there is a saying that say when the road it tough, the tough gets going, Nigeria in its self is a big market and we are very enterprising, a wise business man should know how to go to ebonyi, anambra, Kebbi or Jigawa to get rice and add value to it, by the time the local rice is well sorted and packaged. Believe me it can compete and even beat the imported one so why not explore that and invest in it.
On the issue of currupt custom officers and bribe, yes lots of them are corrupt but that does not make smuggling legal, at least the raid may be a deterrent for intending smugglers. If you produce locally here without power, the cost of production will be too high and people can't afford your products. Y do u think companies like Dunlop and Michelin left Nigeria. In this 21st century we still can't boast of constant power supply. It is cheaper to import than to produce in Nigeria cos of persistent power failure. Even Dangote imports rice, floor and cement. The government should fix the power sector. That's all we need. Nigerians are very enterprising. They don't expect us to perform miracles. |

HAH: for your information government has no obligations to provide subsidies for farmers but compassion, tell me how we will grow our economy if we sole rely on imported goods, shamelessly rice in this case that we can produce abundantly, and NIS is fully backed by law to confiscate smuggled contraband I didn't say anything about subsidy. Government has failed to provide the enabling environment for such farmers to succeed. Despite all the billions spent on power. How on earth will these farmers operate their mills with gen set? It's a terrible situation. That alone discourages investment. Come to think of it, that seized rice was cleared at the port by customs who collected bribe. Even the so called Federal patrol will take their own bribe and still release the rice. So, the whole system is in a total mess. We all know what is happening in this part of the word. As I said, Nigerians must survive. |

HAH: Sad seeing most comments are sympathising with smugglers economic saboteurs. Some people are even saying why were they not informed before the seizsure or why did they come by 12am, so when coming to arrest a criminal they should inform them ba? So that they can hide whatever illegal they have, I hear una.
As read from the report even the traders themselves agreed that they are smuggled through land borders and the paid corrupt official 1k to pass so what is the fuss if upright task force confiscate it.
The traders should henceforth look inward on local rice, and how to add value to it I just laugh at your contribution. The existing local farmers are not given any atom of encouragement by the government. People will have to survive. |
