For civil matters like land dispute, owing of debts etc without evidence of infliction of injury or damage to properties, there should be no remand of any sort until the acussed is convicted.

A feared bully tried to obtain a new guys money in the neighborhood,the guy refused which resulted to a fight.The new guy beat the bully in a fight,the bully reached for a bottle,the other guy carried a stick for defense,before the bullies gang came he was injured.

To decongest the prison Old people should be granted amnesty
The sick awaiting trial inmates should be granted bail to avoid death and spread of disease.They should go to court from home till they are found guilty.
Bail condition by the low and high court should be favorable
Manslaughter inmates should be given a second chance.Those that have served more than a year.Two fighting is not pre mediated murder.

They had so many options:
1) Ignore. The only reason most people even heard about the incident is because the woman was arrested
2) Apologize and offer to do better. Or even send her a replacement can. That's how most brands in the West deal with issues like this
3) Sue her. I wouldnt advise this because what she said was not even that bad, but they could have instructed their lawyers to send her a cease 7 desist letter or take her to court.

Do you know how much bad stuff people say about brands? Look at Coke for instance. Every other day there's someone talking about how its not good for humans or how it can be used to wash toilet etc. Why Coke no go dey arrest everybody?

Not everyone in prison is a hardened criminal
Some committed crime by mistake.Eg cases like manslaughter,they did it while trying to defend themselves
Some were set up while Some didn't even commit the crime

I Know of a guy that was arrested and sent to prison becos he had tattoos.He was charged for dtp and remanded.He spent months in prison

Lagos state is the problem.
There are cases were the complainant will like to withdraw the case but Lagos won't agree in the name of capital offence.
If two relations fight one hit the other one and he dies in the process,if the family tell the court they want to settle the matter the case should be striked out by the judge.
Cases like manslaughter should be allowed to settle out of court.
Other regions court strike any case out if the two parties decide to settle out of court but Lagos too like over sabi,that's why prison is congested and fg is in charge of feeding Dem while Lagos keep congesting prison.
Cases where the complainant wants to close the case should be closed be it capital offence.They can be fined by Lagos govt and the case dismissed, after that there name can be registered.
