Please, kindly correct the name of the LGA. It's Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni, not Andoni which is an LGA on its own and a riverine area different from Ndoni.
Thank you.

If I ever had any doubt before, now it's all gone.
Any hope of maintaining this decline at the current rate is now gone completely. Expect it to start declining at nosediving rate. Only that we don't know how soonest it will crash-land.
God will surely save His.

Who and you agreed to be one? Our oil is the only unifying factor in Nigeria, hence the north can't let us go. This time around, there is no going back. I and my entire generation are for biafra. Before you vent your frustrated unity begging tantrums on my post, I am not from South East, but core Niger Delta. I better fight for the control of the resources with smaller igbos than this exaggerated hausa/fulani almajiris. Do you ever imagine the huge availability to each state of about 8 -10 compared to this fraudulent 36 plus Abuja? No going back on biafra. This is fight to finish.

If Nigeria is surrounded by francophone countries, hence the study of French, why the arabic language? What are the themes in this islamic language? Do you wonder why buhari is in comatose? God is watching.

Mr man, stop bragging for a failed response with wrong computation from your so called, howbeit, self-acclaimed standard OAU. Even you could not see the obvious wrong calculations. The below would help you.

"It could only be convincing to people like you without reasoning cap.

You are damn wrong as the OAU you thought to have known has just disappointed you with wrong computation. How do you explain the repeating of physics twice but single counting? Where is her eighth subject?
With the eighth subject assuming a score of C, she should have a total of 50, instead of 44. That is, 78.13%. Plus the 80% in UTME, divided by 2, she should have an average of 79%, which qualifies her for admission under merit.
The so called highly rated OAU has crashed the supposedly howbeit self-acclaimed high standard. Knowing this now, are you not disappointed?"

Tstone1:
You see some people that has never been to OAU or at one time or the other denied admission throwing the first stone. We are talking about OAU here and medicine for that matter. That was the conclusion of the analysis and it's such a great one from the provost. I saw the thread this morning and I knew there would be response (quick and articulate one) for that matter!

See, let's learn to always know that although it's a faceless forum but we have people here. You can't be emotional about this. For the fact that you were denied admission does not translate to nepotism or the school being bias. The provost made mention of the merit, catchment and the educational less developed states: These are long time criteria for any reasonable federal institution in NIGERIA.
I was denied admission then in OAU and then I tried again! Now it all a bye gone looking back after 5 years.

My advice to the applicant(s); don't get carried away with the social media! You're too young for that. I became active on Nairaland after my first degree so you had better face your academics for now.

Don't stop trying, I wish you the very best in your pursuit of a great and excellent career!!!
EducationRe: Provost Of Health Sciences Oau Gives Reasons Why Mrs Aror Wasnt Admitted by sirmose: 2:10am On Dec 23, 2016
Accusing others of what you just did now, blindly accepting wrong computation. Its a pity how we lack reasoning in this part of the world.

soletar:
I am impressed with the prompt and detailed response of OAU.

A lot of folks just blindly commented in the morning and they still insist on arguing with the facts provided.

The young girl just was unlucky, though it's still likely some undeserving students would slip through the cracks and get admitted by nepotism.

Those still arguing OAU should have still gone ahead to give her admission just are not ready to face the facts provided here.

Good luck to the girl

EducationThe Plight Of Nddc Scholars 2015 In Foreign Lands by sirmose(op): 1:59am On Aug 15, 2016
Dear CBN,
I write to inform you of my untold hardship in foreign land due to the inability of NDDC to pay our #NDDCScholars2015 allowances for 8 to 12 months now.
I personally resumed study in January 2016, while some other scholars resumed September 2015, but until now the commission has been unable to pay our upkeep allowances. This is majorly due to your (CBN) unstable and undue bureaucracy in making foreign payments, according to the commission mail.
Recently, precisely two weeks ago, the commission was able to complete the so-called complex and new process, and the payments are now domiciled with you (CBN). Why you have not made these payments is still a surprise.
How long will it take you to pay this money is still a mystery only known to you and your cabal or 'oga at the top'.
It may interest you to know how tough life has been to me (NDDCScholars2015) in foreign land. Maybe my situation will buttress the whole thing.
1. I was lucky initially to be given an accommodation on debt by my school for 23 weeks at £2232.73, hoping that I would pay within three weeks of my arrival in January 2016. In April, the school accommodation team issued me a threat of legal actions if I failed to pay up my debt within two weeks. It took the intervention of my course leader to prevent it.
2. The said accommodation contract expired July 3, 2016, without payment still and no where to pack to as no money to pay for a new accommodation. It took the quick intervention of my former course mate to pay £500 to the school before they agreed to extend my stay by two weeks, which expired on July 17, 2016. Where did I go from there?
3. It took the same mate to gift me #50,000 which yielded £100 due to your outrageous FOREX.
With this, I was able to plead with an agent to rent an apartment for two weeks from July 17, 2016, with the promise to pay the balance of £160 for administrative fee and deposit within a week. Just like many other unfulfilled promises I have made to others, this was not an exception.
4. It is exactly four weeks today Saturday, yet no solution at sight. On Thursday, I received a threat of legal actions if I refused to pay up an accumulated amount of £280 within 5 days. I still cannot see light at the end of the tunnel.
5. How I feed? Yes! I have been on one square meal since May 1, 2016 till date, borrowing money from my foreign and local course mates to survive. I now survive by sympathy from course mates. As I am typing this message, there is only £26 in my hand, nothing elsewhere.
6. All these while, NDDC has been promising that we would get our payment within two weeks since mid April till later May when it changed to soon. How soon it would be, is yet to be seen till now. All messages to NDDC MD were met with absolute silence.
7. In April, I got information that the #500,000 promised us for logistics was paid but I was not paid. When I asked, I was told that those paid submitted their local account details since last year, supposedly those that started September session, while mine is being processed to be paid soon. Yet nothing has come in.
8. As I was not from a wealthy family or political class family, to ensure that I utilized this opportunity to upgrade my academic potential for a better impact and future, I borrowed #1 million in two installments at 20% interest rate from a local money lender since banks refused me a student loan because of CBN policy. Since January till date, the said money has yielded 140% interest and is still counting. Out of this, I spent #500,000 for my Visa, medical insurance, TB test and flight ticket. The balance was able to sustain me till May, with my little savings of about #500,000 including friends cash gifts.
9. To add salt to injury, how could NDDC have paid our tuition fees since April without provision to pay our upkeep allowances together?

If CBN do not see reasons to expedite this payment domiciled with it after getting this message, I will have no option than to sue CBN and NDDC to the court of public opinion for judgement.

I am ready to provide every proof to buttress this message and claim at the appropriate time as I have nothing to protect again. I have been turned to a beggar in foreign land. I have lost focus of my study and developmental programs and targets, as such, the scheme is now almost worthless. I pray not to be deported, because I see another deadly NDA loading in me if the only valuable thing (my study) to me is dubiously denied me through these agencies. I have lost my job with which I catered for my siblings and single mum. I hope to finish my study (MSc) successfully, because anything on the contrary would be disastrous to me, Nigeria and the world in general as I am aware of the global village called the world. Not a threat but a real concern.
This is not a fabricated story as Nigerians are fond of believing lies than the truth (APC is a perfect example). This is my life story from the time I became NDDCSCHOLARS2015.
I do not expect your sympathy but your actions.

Thank you for acting swiftly to save my situation in particular.

If only they can return the country to where they met it before.

Meanwhile, op, why you blatantly refused to move to FP my post titled "The Plight of NDDC Scholars 2015 in Foreign Lands " is still a surprise to me and the over 200 students NDDC, besides CBN, abandoned in foreign lands to suffer untold hardship, compounded by FG's vague directives.

Christianity EtcRe: I'm Losing My Girlfriend Because Of My Disbelief... Am I Wrong? by sirmose: 12:17am On Jul 08, 2016
I read of lots philosophers who argued this fact for and against God's existence, but none of them could successfully disprove St Thomas Aquinas' five proofs that God exist. They are as follow:

Aquinas' Five Ways argued from the unmoved mover, first cause, necessary being, argument from degree, and the teleological argument.

1. The unmoved mover argument asserts that, from our experience of motion in the universe (motion being the transition from potentiality to actuality) we can see that there must have been an initial mover. Aquinas argued that whatever is in motion must be put in motion by another thing, so there must be an unmoved mover.
2. Aquinas' argument from first cause started with the premise that it is impossible for a being to cause itself (because it would have to exist before it caused itself) and that it is impossible for there to be an infinite chain of causes, which would result in infinite regress. Therefore, there must be a first cause, itself uncaused.
3. The argument from necessary being asserts that all beings are contingent, meaning that it is possible for them not to exist. Aquinas argued that if everything can possibly not exist, there must have been a time when nothing existed; as things exist now, there must exist a being with necessary existence, regarded as God.
4. Aquinas argued from degree, considering the occurrence of degrees of goodness. He believed that things which are called good, must be called good in relation to a standard of good—a maximum. There must be a maximum goodness that which causes all goodness.
5. The teleological argument asserts the view that things without intelligence are ordered towards a purpose. Aquinas argued that unintelligent objects cannot be ordered unless they are done so by an intelligent being, which means that there must be an intelligent being to move objects to their ends: God.

Even Rene Descartes, who doubted his own existence in his popular "dubito, ergo cogito, ergo sum", believe that God exist.
Until you can disprove these, I know that God exist.

Come to think of this: if I believe now that God exist, later die to find out that God didn't exist, what will I loose? What will I loose if I don't believe in God existence now but later die to find out that God actually exists?

I hope this will help lots of us all have a rethink.

Typical black unintelligent nigerian always talking without thinking. From midnight when it fell to $1.29, its started recovering speedily, now at $1.40, approaching its previous $1.47. The referendum pushed it up to $1.50
You think its your worthless naira. I learned from your president is illiterate and dictator, killing farmers and political opponents with herdsmen and army.

wristbangle:
This decision will definitely have merits and demerits.

To me, seems the demerits may be more: Their currency has crashed to all low in 31years and there is tendency it will depreciate more after this decision. Also it may discourage foreign investors frm investing in the country. Football arm will no doubt be affected.

You are a fvcking liar like your illiterate sheriff. Your terrorist sunnis block major roads causing traffic jams due to diverted traffic every Friday, yet no body stops or kills you. Can your inhumane coas pass through kaduna state university road to kamazou on Fridays without diverting? Nigeria govt equal to boko haram is now an international known fact. Nigeria is doomed with dementia heads

If you break the law the same treatment given to Nnamdi Kanu and Muslim group leader, Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky will be given to you independent of your ethnic group or religion.

This Fulani dullard is a joke. He twists his own statements at will. We are not fools like your kinsmen up there in the north. We are lenient people. The same way you said that you are for no body, yet you stupidly still refuse Saraki as Senate President. Now that america have failed you, what next after all the campaign against GEJ?
We are watching you. Try nonsense and how this zoo will collapse under your watch.

hahahahahaha, i laugh, this is not president Jonathan's administration, this is Buhari's government, Tompolo cannot be stuupid enough to try nonsense, if he dares this government, he will be wiped out to extinction and he knows it. Power has changed hands, we no longer have a president that smiles around the clock like a new bride, the earlier these boys know that, the better for them.
Noisemaker like the old daura President Buhari! This your Hitler buhari should show his military strength against boko haram, let us see before you start chest beating for Tompolo. Child of anger like you are will never think before talking just like your master at the top of the zoo. No wonder, reverse gear is the hallmark of this admin since May 29.

The end of this zoo is at sight. We are now well prepared for you fools.

We just hope after 4 years Nigeria will not be contesting with Zimbabwe or Greece. For now Nigeria is on a standstill. Investors are trooping out, stock market is in lull. Literally there is nothing going on now in Nigeria. We have a trainee president and a vice who thinks governance and politics is by textbooks and bible. May God see us through.

I'm Proud to be a wailing wailer cool. I wail and intercede to God on behalf of the illiterates and gullible in Nigeria. Nigeria will never be one again, with the type of hatred I noticed on nairaland against GEJ and his family. OBJ received a doctorate degree award from Afe Babalola University last week, and everyone here never saw anything wrong with that except that of PEJ, including the OP. May God have mercy on you all.
