Instead of all these counter post, just quote where God said "alcoholic beverages is evil" that's all!

Jesus surely drank alcoholic beverages, John doesn't eat delicacies nor drink alcoholic beverages like normal people that's why they said he had a demon! Matthew 3:4

Jesus eat whatever delicacies and alcohol beverages they set before him
that's why they accused him as a glutton and drunkard! Luke 7:31-35 smiley

Many people especially in Nigeria are very ignorant. I would have mentioned in my post how Jesus drank good alcohol but I didn't want to sound direct. You have said it very well but many church goers that condemn drinking are obviously blind to the truth.
When Jesus turned water into wine, they fail to read that part of the bible properly with understanding. As regards the old testament, first of all, anything wine was alcohol and many kings drank so much of wine. At the event Jesus turned water into wine, one who reads with understanding will find out that Jesus even gave them the best of wines unlike the one they already took which meant even a wine that was more alcoholic than the one they had already consumed.
Its was a party and they had all drank. They finished the alcohol available and Jesus had to provide more for them. Just same way He provided food out of a basket of fish and bread for thousands, he also provided alcohol for many at the event.

Now tell me, this is even in the new testament but many preachers still condemn it. I am so confused with the Christianity discrimination of this days.

Kobojunkie:

As far as changing the laws, Jesus did not change the OT laws( a yoke of more than 613 statutes\commands - a very heavy yoke). What He instead did was fulfill the laws i.e. pay off the bill on your behalf. He instead requires you to take up his own yoke(a yoke with ust about 46 statutes\commands), which is easy, and carry his own burden(your cross) which is light.
Yes, in order to be a Christ follower, you must abandon the old laws and begin obeying Christ's own commands. According to Jesus Christ, and then John, those who claim to be of Christ but do not obey his commands, are liars and the truth, that is Jesus Christ, does not live in them.

The old law should include paying of tithes if am correct? Does that mean many Christians are disobeying Christ Jesus by still following the old law in regards to tithes? They condemn drinking because it was part of the old law but they embrace tithing which is still part of the old law.
Politics / Re: Are We All Been Deceived By The Government ? by SirNiko(m): 1:58pm On May 17, 2020
They are only playing politics with it because of the steady flow of cash involved. Both malaria patients and even normal fever patients are now being isolated and tagged as virus carriers. After treating them normally they discharge and bring in new sets. Tell me how these many people are just contacting the virus without previous connection with the real victims of the virus.

I’m not an authority in this topic.
Eph 5:18 says do not be drunk with wine where in it is excess but be filled with the Holy Ghost .

I believe drinking wine in moderation is not bad especially drinking at home. Going to bar to drink can lead to addiction to alcoholism.

Drinking should also be once in a while.
For other things you listed like tithe and the rest and attacking pastors will not do you any good.

Just write what you want on the platform of learning not to come here and attack pastors when you are not one. If you are not a lawyer you can’t interpret the law very well.

I am not attacking pastors but I have heard many who condemn drinking. Yes drink in excess is bad because it can lead to evil deeds but when you hear them condemn it in total you have to wonder why they should do such.
Health / Re: COVID-19: 3 Returnees Evacuated From Dubai To Nigeria Have Tested Positive by SirNiko(m): 1:42pm On May 17, 2020
GamalNasser:
I knew it would come to this and they will find a way to label some of them positive after the first gaffe..I thought they said they were tested in Dubai before coming so how come they are now positive in Lagos after testing negative in Dubai

I am ashamed to see that many Nigerians are unable to think outside the box and see that this whole cases have become a big scam in Nigeria. You are definitely right that they were tested in Dubai before they could have taken that flight because they will not put their air staffs at risk of flying passengers with the virus. Nigerian government is a mess and its a pity this is happening because the largest portion of the population are senseless.

Ecclesiastic 2: 14 and 8:15.

The book of ecclesiastic is found in the old testament and speaks so much about wisdom and life. My major surprise is that I hardly hear many Christians talk about this probably because they will say it is the old testament.

But when it comes to tithing, many church goers (who are definitely not true believers) will do anything to defend tithing as in the old testament and say Jesus didn't change the law of tithing. So my question is why do these same people see people that drink and enjoy themselves the way they like as sinners? If the Jesus didn't change the laws of the old testament in regards to tithing, how come the part of the old testament that clearly states that women should preach in the house of God is being changed by the pastors of today were we have women preaching in churches everywhere.

I am really curious about the way many church goers will end up in hell simply because of their lack of wisdom and this is the same wisdom this ecclesiastic is talking about.

I want to set up a small standard music studio to start music production. Please I have the money but don't have much experience so I will have to employ all necessary staffs from good producer to sound engineers and so on.

I need someone with a good idea of setting up a studio to help me with informations about the equipments needed and if possible, the cost of everything. I will really appreciate.

A meets you maybe in a supermarket and approaches you with the usual "I like you" kind of flows. You turn him down and move ahead.
After some days you go to church and you are an usher in your church. When they asked for new members to come out for the usual welcome introduction & prayers, you discover this particular guy coming out with others but you really didn't see it as anything.

After the church service he approaches you again and now you became a little angry that he seems to be stalking you and its making you uncomfortable. Then he drops the bomb shell and tells you he has been observing you for quite a long time but just wanted to be sure of the kind of girl you are. He is very wealthy and still a bachelor so he says he wants to build a lifetime relationship with you, startup and business of your choice, give you a nice car, build a befitting house for your parents and also take very good care of you.

What will you do or advice in this sort of situation?
