Do you listen to the BBC world service? I have been listening for nearly ten years on transistor radios and my favourite programme is sports round up. Other favourites are: Letter from America (rested), news now, network Africa. i believe i have become more informed and enlightened since i picked up this habit and readily recommend it to younger and young people. |
Is everybody on this thread nuts? |

John mensah is good but he dosen't meet up to the famous 'Wenger quality.' I don't believe there is a crisis at the back. Sol is going nowhere unless Fernabache or whoever, brings good money. In that case it will be for business. Like the Vieira case. As the mafiosi will say, 'nothing personal, just business'. |
Superman best superhero movie franchise. SUPERMAN RETURNS! out now. Go catch the great GUY from Krypton. |
There was no mistake in taking Theo to the world cup. The boy is an immense talent. JENAS had no business being in the squad, there was more than enough cover in midfield. Defoe should have been in for Jenas. Most importantly Theo is smarter than Rooney and in the future, during crunch games England will rely on Theo rather than the temperemental and unstable Rooney. |
Forget Veiria, he cannot produce MOTM performances every week. we know players who shine at world cup but can't do anything after: NICKY BUTT. honestly, i feel Sol has one more season in him at the top. What happened to the talk about Thuram? |
MURRAY AIN'T GOING NOWHERE. Wh in hell will beat that spanish kid for me? I mean the king of clay. He should go and rest. This is grass. this is Federer's lawn. Great Venus is gone. Sharapova is overated. The Belgian duo are the real thing. |
OUR CHURCH: A KALEIDOSCOPE The colours are more than a rainbow’s The expressions as different as the faces. A big scarf; so big those behind become blind Some hat; a poultry of feathers. The man over there, he looks moody You think this is a funeral, not a worship service. That lady nods away, oblivious of others You wonder; is this really boring? The girl behind the man behind the scarf She so gyrates, she’s certainly possessed Whether the spirit is good or evil…? Hey! Those boys have been talking since morning. That suit on the elder Looks like Marks and Spencer. Definitely he bought it yesterday He doesn’t need to tell us. He has shown us. The female choristers, What lovely voices, lovelier faces. The male choristers, Who are those? Is the choir master deaf? The dance round to drop the offering As interesting and exciting as a disco. Oh! No, the scarf has unfurled Why don’t these things become unfashionable? The lady with headful of poultry She struts forward to testify And talks and talks and talks… My goodness! My stomach is growling. Here goes the benediction What was it again the preacher said? About the Good Lord and the devil Am really the worst of us all. |

FRIENDS AND FOES They say show me your friends… I say show me your enemies… For a king will always tango But not with a pauper; And a prince will surely feud Only with one of his kind. They say show me your friends And I will tell you who you are. I say show me your enemies And I know who you are. |
VILLAGE MONARCH Yesterday he was a trader A fairly successful dealer; Today he is a ruler The monarch of our village They say we are now autonomous Granted freedom to form a new kingdom; Old Uncle Joe was made a monarch King over ten hamlets. Inspired by the granting of autonomous status to my small community |
UNLESS THE FRENCH PLAY LIKE ARSENAL THEY WILL FAIL, FAIL, FAIL. AT ARSENAL ALL ATTACKS BEGIN TO END WITH ONE AIM, AT HENRY'S FEET. SO ALL THE 'STARS' OF LES BLUES MUST SWALLOW THEIR PRIDE AND CHANNEL ALL ATTACK TO AND THROUGH HENRY. PS: WHO DOES MALOUDA THINK HE IS, SHOOTING AIMLESSLY FROM DISTANCE INSTEAD OF GIVING HENRY THE BALL. THANK GOODNESS ZIZOU IS SUSPENDED. HE HAS LOST 'IT'. |
Just heard this evening that our beloved Arsenal Fc is under investigation of its relations with Beveren. Basically they have been accused of paying some money to the Belgium side and something about wanting to own the club too. Sepp Blatter has been huffing and puffing. Penalty if proved of wrongdoing: Suspension from UEFA champions league among others I hear some Spurs fans screaming deliriously. |
I am writing my thesis on the effects of Nigerian home videos. What do you think are the effects of over exposure on viewers of home videos about issues such as friendships, matrimony, religion, culture, etc? Does the way these variables are treated in movies affect the way viewers see, relate and approach them in life? |
Is sharebuilder only for people in the US? I need an online method of investing or trading money. Any ideas? |
Guys, by next monday the French open kicks off. It promises to be a rollercoaster and hopefully we can get to see a final b/w Federer and Nadal. A forthnight ago they had an epic battle in Rome and maybe, just maybe, we could get a repeat. By the way any Nairalanders care about Tennis? |

"DNA doesn't design cells. What exactly do you want to know? Evolution began from the simple organic replicators. The information was contained within itself."(nferyn) My question dear friend is, Where did the information come from? I'm not buying the crap about being contained within itself. Sounds elementary. My answer. an intelligent designer-God -sirwebs |
@nferyn keeps pontificating and referring people to the earlier thread in February but even in that thread and in this one too he has refused to answer the question about the specialised organs in the body and how they relate with evolution. Can he tell us how the DNA in the cell came about with the precise information that enables it to design cells? If evolution began in the primordial soup, where did the 'Adamic' DNA derive the information to 'divide', evolve', 'change' etc? Do whatever it is it did? -sirwebs- |
