3rd set starts. I had to go home after the rain delay. Had given up on Federer. Boy, am now on to bbc radio. This is better than last year. |
Fifa have voted in favour of the 'six-plus-five' rule which would place restrictions on foreign players. The president of football's world governing body, Sepp Blatter, hopes to see the initiative implemented by the 2012/13 season. The ruling would limit the number of overseas players any one team can field in their starting XI to just five. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_3627664,00.html With this ruling African players will find it very difficult to play in any team in Europe thereby adversely affecting the quality of our national teams. Nowadays its fashionable to claim being a fan of this club or that one. But we know the real fans. The ones who are committed; who wake, eat, sleep, dream and oh yes, cry for their club. This week a lot of Blues wept for their football club. So which is your club? And have you ever wept, cried, wailed, whatever for it? I'm a Gunner: Wept after CL quarter final exit to Wayne Bridge's goal in the 2003/2004 season. |
the future is bright, the future is arsenal. |
Jackal.:@ Jackal Thank God you understand how fickle the game is. I was about to dismiss you as a loudmouthed airhead (which i guess you are). |
Deja vu all over again. When Henry left they all said Arsenal is finished. The same with Veira and we played in the UCL final without him. Isn't it boring? Fla-money will be easily replaced. I trust AW. We were just unlucky this season. I hear Fla-money is getting just 55,000 pounds at Milan. And he will certainly sit on the bench. What a wise decision. Arsene Wenger has been replacing players since Wrighty in the early 90s. All these supposed commentators who started watching EPL yesterday should shut up. |
who the hell is skrtel? |
Its just ill-luck. I have never seen such bad luck in a season. Injuries, bad decisions by the refs, Gallas' handball, Clichy's late penalty at St. Andrews, Toure on Babel , etc. I wish this season will end today. |
We will qualify. We're simply better than Liverpool irrespective of what happened @ the Emirates. |
B.S was in a hurry to fire the Zulu project manager. He was fast to spot that blaming the guy who couldn't talk glibly enough was an easy way of making a decision. The guys couldn't print their promotional materials and that was why they lost. They had a sound team and matrix is a disaster waiting to happen. |
Sport is the new religion. The opium of the people. |
I have nearly the same problem with original poster but I bought a new hard drive and can't get audio. I have tried to install audio devices but the problem still persists. Is it possible I may not have an sound card? |
You rock Barack! I talk to God and he laughs at my plans - Robbie Williams |
I grew up with Blyton. She had the greatest influence om my childhood literary development. If i have to do it again, I will grow up in the 80s/90s again. God how i miss those days. How can i forget Dame Washalot? |
To thin air he went like mist at morn; leaving them that want as those who mourn. |

Methinks so. what of you? |
Dim Emeka Ojukwu has hit out at the Nigerian Army for referring to him as Lt. Col instead of his Bifran Army designation of General during the ceremony for the payment of his gratuity and pensions. He however made a decent point by referring to the American example where General Robert Lee was formally referred to by his Confederate title of General by the victorious Nationalists. What is the best designation for Ojukwu? |
How much is an E60i (Nokia)? |
I was genuinely surprised by this verdict from fans across Africa. Well done Ade' for beating Essien and co. Even though I don't think he is world class, it shows hard work and industry works. |
AW bought Diarra for 2million pounds and sold him for 5million. All inside six months. This is wall street class. |
Sepp Blatter has waded into the debate and said thet FIFA will ensure the Africa cup of Nations fits into the European off season. I believe the Europeans are been mean here because they know that playing in June in Africa is difficult as it is the rainy season here. I do not know what else they want CAF to do. Cancel the tournament? |
Guys carry it because anything can happen anytime. If u call it responsible/irresponsible, mature/immature, well, I don't know. But I'm telling you what we do. But why do the girls always go checking out your wallet? I'm just asking. |
i'm bored. |
Diarra isn't very smart. He just needed a little insight to see that he is naturally better than Flamini who is his main competition as Gilberto is past it now. Going off to Pompey could rob him of his place in Les Blues cos if Arsenal wins something big this term with Flamini in form, Diarra might find himself falling down in the pecking order. Its a pity. Wrong move for him. |
whats up with the Brits there no.1 is out already. I don't believe its going to be easy for Roger though. |
I'm seriously looking forward to see if Anelka and Drogba can play together. Such high profile partnerships don't usually work. Besides Anelka is very finicky. If he doesn't score after a while he will begin to insinuate of favouritism towards Drogba. He did that at Madrid. He has an unsettling influence. I think in the big games Arsenal will hardly lose. It is the smaall teams that worry us. Beside Eduardo seems an excellent player. He's in double digits already. As far as we play 4-4-2 with him infront Arsenal is in good hands especially in Europe. So bring on Milan. |
Unlike what the original poster said the explosion in the interest for the English league has created a lot of wealth. - The inumerable no. of viewing centres provide employment for young people (SME) - The entry or birth of HITV is creating employment and providing a service - The increase in advert naira from local, national and multinational coys into any programme on radio or TV discussing the Priemiership. - The increase in subscription to sport papers and the proliferation of sport dailies creating employment and service. All these organisations mean incresed revenue for govt. in taxes etc. - The expansion of the market in football memorabilia- jerseys, armbands, towels,Keyrings, face caps, T-shirts, belts etc. A lot of them are knockoffs made in Nigeria (Aba etcetra). For the authentic stuff the market is also expanding which is good news for boutiques. Whoever bought an Iwuanyanwu Nationale shirt? We have not talked about the hapiness and excitement of following the league which has a social aspect because it keeps young men away from delinquency, improves their knowledge about places around Europe, teaches them about business (player transfer and club mgt), diplomacy, hard work and man mgt: skills necessary in the work place. All these makes them informed in an information age. But most importantly in a global village, there is nothing wrong or out of place in supporting an English club, run by a French manager, owned by a Russian, captained by a Brazilian and sponsored by a Middle Eastern co. The original poster says he lives in the UK. Whatever happened to living in Nigeria. |
Any help on very good sites will be appreciated. |
where can one find new rock albums in the East anybody? |
