Atiku is better off nominating or supporting the candidate of Obi who will emerge from the North. I think Buhari's victory and Tinubu's running away with it has given him hope that he can still do it. Never say never but if he reads the mood of the country, we are tired of the recycled names. He is better off endorsing someone. The same thing Tinubu could/should have done instead of running. Politics is one thing, governance is another. |
attackgat:Your reporting is poor. No location No time No date Don't take this as criticism, modify the post to improve the content if you can 👍 Ojukwu urged Nigerians to get Shehu Shagari into the government house on 1st of October 1983. History is very funny. Permanent interests is what you follow. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0QZXfpnWpoE |
I think many people forget that Tinubu is the most recent President to win by less than half of the votes in the election, thereby making him an unpopular president. I wrote this on another thread and the person thought I was hating on him for calling him unpopular. Buhari won his second term with >50% of all votes. APC was not a popular party and Tinubu does not seem to be making any decisions that will make them look any better, even if you see governors moving for survival there. The 2023 elections has shown how little influence governors have in the process. I would have thought with the little percentage he had, Tinubu would do things to bring the people to his side but you can't teach an old leopard new running steps. Given a free and fair election, APC is an unpopular party and can be easily beaten. What has made it worse for them is that karma has come 360 degrees full circle so there's no PDP to blame. The things they accused PDP of is also happening to them and they are making an 'incompetent' Jonathan look like a Saint to the extent that people have forgotten how 'weak' GEJ's government was and are willing to consider that government as against APC's. The difference is now clearer than ever that APC was only interested in power and nothing more. As at 2007, Nigerians started getting tired of PDP, we gave it 4 more years and the seat was hot. APC is now in similar shoes. It's been 11 years. See finish Don open eyes. |
reddingtonblack:I wrote👇 The problem with democracy in Africa is that the unpopular people are unwilling to accept that they are not the people's choice so they will scatter it for everyone if they don't have their way. What in my statement is wrong? In democracy, if Candidate A beats Candidate B by 1 vote, A is the popular vote. The margin and percentage are statistics but democracy is described as the government of the people, by the people and that's why the majority carries the day. That's why there is also a run-off in our elections. In the New York Mayoral vote, Cuomo is/was more popular than any other candidate but did he win? No. Even Trump's threat and support did not garner him enough votes. The young man, Mamdani won and everyone accepted it. The test of popularity was at the polls and today, he has finally met Trump despite all their tantrums. Trump did not go and cancel the election or cry rigging. Our own politicians don't like to lose. That's their problem with the electoral votes. You talked about Jonathan. Don't forget that before the results were announced, we had a saga at the collation center where some people did not want to accept the results but what did the President at the time do? He called to accept defeat even before final collation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rm6-COC4S90 Election is not do or die like Obasanjo foisted on us and gracefully, Yar Adua the beneficiary accepted even though he benefited from the rigging. It's his (Yar Adua) reforms we are enjoying today.

PapalsBull:You think so? Look at Tanzania, the President is a Muslim Woman. And you know what happened in the recent election ![]() This same people may not let the woman marry a Muslim man from Kaduna while an Egyptian may be okay with a Ned Nwoko marriage. This life, you just have to see things from a deep perspective, it's very convenient to hide under groups. |
Listen to understand instead of rushing to give your response.

frankoben:It's largely cultural |
SisterAnn:Oluremi has her sister on the list. |
It's not an embarrassment to Tinubu but to Nigeria. We play too much politics in this country so we don't know when to stop and preserve our image. |
reddingtonblack:If you like guess I am Tiv, I don't engage in such low intellectual discrimination and discussions. It's on record that Mr Tinubu is the most unpopular president to win the elections going by the INEC result. You can argue with facts or statistics. As uninspiring as he was, Muhammadu Buhari won a second term in Nigeria's Presidency with 56% of the popular vote in the presidential election. Keep on talking tribes and petty politics. "Na statistics we go chop?"
|
Cromagnon:Your questions are defective and deflective. He is the President, stop distracting us. |
Memphitz357:The government is just disgraceful and shameless. Renewed Hope is just a hopeless mantra. The list does not inspire hope. No be today we de see non-career ambassadors but just the way the government could send people to UK to release Ekweremadu, or they could add Sanda and other criminals to their pardon list and so many other examples, this government has shown again and again that it puts politics above governance and party above country. It took Trump to call us to order, otherwise this APC people would have kept on justifying the fact that we didn't have ambassadors. Very unserious people in power.
|
You go explain Taya. When they are representing Nigeria, they are called Ambassadors. No one prefixes their career or non-career. It is Nigeria that matters. These APC goons always think they can explain away their inefficiencies. The country is bigger than politics. Not everyone who campaigns for elections can make effective operators of the polity. There is politics, there is governance. You put someone who doesn't have diplomatic trait as ambassador and will bring more controversy to your country and you're telling us career or non-career. The joke is not on your political opponents, the joke is on EVERY NIGERIAN because these people represent us. |
Kobojunkie:The idea that men must avoid women or become gay to escape manipulation is a deeply flawed inference. Pathology isn’t inherent in ‘women’ or ‘men’; it emerges in individuals and in poorly negotiated relationships. What actually protects people from exploitation is the development of competence: clear boundaries, articulated values, and the willingness to walk away from situations that violate them. If a man can’t stand up for himself, changing the gender of the person he dates won’t fix that. He’ll recreate the same dynamic elsewhere. Strength isn’t found in avoidance; it’s found in taking responsibility for your part in the pattern, and correcting that first. Men know the importance of women, so it's only a weak man who would bend over his kness for another man to pump his semen in his butt. That doesn't create any legacy, it destroys society. It doesn't continue evolution. Men won't run to other men to escape delusional women. What they will do is LEAD. They will take responsibility. Women don't want true "equality." They want selective equality when it serves them. They don't like to be held accountable as well. But I am not here to argue with you. I know where you stand and the suggestion of generalization or alt sex is as ridiculous as no man will propose. |
BondRiv:Man loves politics than governance. It will be his greatest undoing. Those who campaign for you are not the best for governance. Politics is the game, governance is the console. |
matify83:Like these ones? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ExxVOV7NhEM

almarthins:I don't think they did and the glaring disregard of the politicians migrating to APC is not even going to make them more popular, it will put people against them. Anyway, it's quite obvious to know those who grabbed it, snatched it and ran away with it but are afraid of the people's will in an open and fair election. They still want to use force. What are they afraid of? The wicked know no rest. We've also seen how judiciary was used to win elections, not the people. I'm happy they got to power, if we never saw them this way, we would have thought they were the best thing we never had! |
matify83:He went there on an official mission. Moreover, if you listened to Jonathan's interviews, he talked about it. Obasanjo also went for these missions. Somehow, I don't know if Buhari was invited to observe any elections after he left. ![]() |
almarthins:They are deceitful characters but part of the propaganda machine. Anyone who's read 1984 will understand. It's amazing that all they accused PDP of is now happening to them but they don't want anyone to ask questions. They want us to keep quiet.

The problem with democracy in Africa is that the unpopular people are unwilling to accept that they are not the people's choice so they will scatter it for everyone if they don't have their way. Aren't they threatening us already in Lagos that it's APC or we harm you? Aren't they popular as they claim? Why are they afraid of elections? Because the truth is bitter. Look at what happened in Rivers state. Look at how someone said we should GRAB IT, SNATCH IT AND RUNAWAY WITH IT. Democracy is the voice of the people but the voice of the Satan is what these people want, not the voice of God. Politicians are also evil because even the military also need their help, the only difference is that military no de forgive. They want you to follow their own rules. Apes obey!!
|
opes:Yes. He too had his faults. He was the author of do or die in our politics and we had assassinations around that time. There is no one who won't have criticism but this one is too obvious. Obvious that it is padi padi government but this is Nigeria. If I blame PDP for anything, I don't blame them for knowing how to manage the diversity of Nigeria. APC as a party lacks that. |
writetopoker:That's why you have adults behaving like kids, calling themselves hypeman. But is it their fault? It keeps trickling down and standards are destroyed today.

The media should step up to its job. They are the 4th estate. You need to make these guys uncomfortable so they can do their job or else, we'll get to that very bad position for khaki boys to come inside. Look at the Senate, in the past, we used to look up to them to challenge FG/states and stand up for masses. Look at what we have today. The judiciary is already going too. Hold these guys ACCOUNTABLE. They are getting bold because they are not challenged to do their freaking job. Na Governor wey de hot seat de get time for another person seat? Won't he save himself first?

FFK should be posted to the State of Israel. Since Shettima castigated Israel at the UN for the genocide in Gaza, that's when the Christian genocide response from Trump came out. FFK is strong about his position and he has good knowledge of Israel. Attack is the best form of defence, then let Reno score own goal in the US. 🤡 |
Tinubu is more interested in politics, I don't pity him. He will see with his own eyes. 1. Barrister Ogbonnaya Kalu (Abia) 2. Reno Omokri (Delta) - post him to US since we all want to be mad. Unfortunately, he has written so many things that are not diplomatic that you are only bringing more disgrace to Nigeria because Internet is free. All it takes is for the host country to Google him and see what mess we are making of ourselves. 3. Prof. Mahmood Yakubu (Bauchi) Go to court. INEC former chair. This man doesn't care about the look of things. How can someone who announced you as winner be then appointed by you 2 years after? 4. Erelu Bisi Angela Adebayo (Ekiti) Wife of political associate, Niyi. 5. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu) 6. Tasiu Musa Maigari (Katsina) 7. Yakubu N. Gambo (Plateau) 8. Prof. Nora Ladi Daduut (Plateau) 9. Otunba Femi Pedro (Lagos) - his deputy as State Governor in Lagos. 10. Chief Femi Fani-Kayode (Osun) 11. Barr. Nkechi Linda Ufochukwu (Anambra) 12. Fatima Florence Ajimobi (Oyo) - wife of former Governor of Oyo, Ajimobi 13. Lola Akande (Lagos) - Oluremi Tinubu's sister, Dr. Lola Akande, who is currently the Lagos State Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and ... 14. Grace Bent (Adamawa) 15. Dr. Victor Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia) 16. Senator Jimoh Ibrahim (Ondo) Political contestant for the office of Governor 17. Ambassador Paul Oga Adikwu (Benue) What this list shows us is that only the political elites deserve Nigeria. It does not inspire, it does not bring hope. It's same of the same. Ńo Hope Renewed. Dora Akunyili once told us how she thought her appointment was 419 when she received the call from Obasanjo. She still did not believe Obasanjo was the one who called her. The man relied on recommendations and he didn't need to know you directly to do the job. If he wanted the best, he will get them from anywhere. I'm not surprised, this man only believes in those who he knows and pledge loyalty to him, not the state. I am not surprised anyway. He said he'll continue from where Buhari stopped. It means that APC as a party believes in tribe and ethnicitsm. Buhari did it, Tinubu is doing it too. It's our turn, emilokan. You can't unite a nation this way.

musicwriter:This is more about policy because every company wants to grow and become 'international' and it is not their fault not to see beyond their noses. If the leaders put in good policies in place and protect their own, nothing stops these companies from not being bought and we celebrate it like it's a good thing. We don't take pride in owning it and letting it remain in Africa. We always want to sell and when they dangle dollars, people forget anything like this. |
I think Buhari and Tinubu's wins have given AA false hope 2x |
Putinofrussia:I just want you to know that militia is possible in any place. I find it funny that people think it's one religion or tribe. People in their majority are able to do evil. If you were around at this time, Tinubu actually condemned Obasanjo for declaring a state of emergency and saying it was undemocratic. If you want link for that too I can give you. Look at the Tinubu today, he declared emergency in Rivers state for political reasons but Obasanjo sacked Dariye for being weak and not able to handle the conflict and pushing a 'Christian genocide' as Governor. They will continue to divide you guys and make you forget your humanity. In the central region that lies between the mainly Muslim north and largely Christian south, armed Muslims on February 24, 2004 killed more than 75 Christians in the town of Yelwa, at least 48 of them inside a church compound. Then on May 2 and 3, hundreds of well-armed Christians surrounded the town from different directions and killed around 700 Muslims. They also abducted scores of women, some of whom were raped. Both attacks were well-organized, and in both instances, the victims were targeted on the basis of their religion.

press9jatv:You guys should keep revising history for your man god. But please be careful not to mention this one In 1999 he breezed into the country to upstage Engr. Funso Williams who was then set to be Governor of Lagos Don't open some can of worms because the question WHO KILLED FUNSO WILLIAMS remains unanswered and you and I know what the sentiment was in 2002-3. |
