There was a civil war that is yet to end. Lol you are talking about civil war im talking about how people will vote- Its not my fault that young hausas-fulani will want to vote for a northerner like Ribadu or Elrufai, Its not my fault that Edos+ yorubas will vote for Oshiomole and its not my fault that Southwesterners will vote for Fashola, Mimiko or Saraki. and its not by fault that Bukola Saraki is a fulani has the support of middle belt probably some SW and probably some north, its not my fault that Sarakis dad was the head of Arewa consultive forum and the head of the Nothern Union. Anyway, if the right of the SS is undermined by the SE, pay back will come in 2015 (if maradona has not performed according to his decieving type). LOL ibb knows he cant assure igbo presidency the only person that can assure igbo presidency is SS middle belt, ND and core north- thats whos voted count in 2015 Into 2015- SW, edo, middle belts (ATLEAST Kogi, Kwara,Niger, Nasswarra) and the Core Norths votes will SURELY go to either- Oshiomole, Ribadu, Elrufai, Fashola or Mimiko maybe even Saraki. - Who knows some of them might team up as vp and president. Former presidential aspirant during the aborted Babangida transition programme and pioneer member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Ibrahim Danmusa in this interview, opens up on why the former military president, General Ibrahim Babangida stepped aside from government and why the Kwara state Governor, Dr. Bukola Saraki, must replace ailing President Umaru Musa Ya'Adua in 2011 in order for the North to complete its eight- year presidency, among other issues. Onlytruth: For the records, I believe that what was done for the south west in 1999 when both presidential candidates emerged from Yorubaland will happen again for Igboland before Nigeria can claim oneness.
The north is pragmatic and understands that the only people in the southern part of Nigeria with the resources, determination, fearlessness, and tenacity of purpose to pull out of Nigeria are the Igbo.
So let no one be deceived otherwise. and you should not deiceive yourself by thinking that ONLY two candidates from one zone will emerge again like in 1999. lol- pull out of Nigeria because Northerners are more likely to elect a northerner over a southerner? LOL |

Abagworo: Then you should stop meddling in Igbo affairs.bonny is ijaw but speaks one of the most centralised form of igbo.it is not too different from the kwara situation. lol no its different- its Ilorin 1 city in not Kwara state- that any talk of fulani takes place. I mean that like is Jonathan pure igbo or pure ijaw? and do people see him as pure ijaw or pure igbo? After all there are ALOT of edos who are mixed with yoruba- and are seen a yoruba by yorubas, and edo by edos. Saraki like few people in Ilorin are mixed with fulani but profess it to get ahead in the north and its working northerners are talking about making Saraki president in 2011- WHICH IS FINE WITH ME. OBJ double crossed the Igbos and the North. If more people talk about this, you will find a realignment in the politics of Nigeria. Northerners only care about their interest and I do not blame them. They will happily ditch the Yoruba if they know that there interest (oil) will be given to them from the Igbo.
We Igbos only care about business. We do not care who deal with. As long no one messes with our money, everything will be alright.
Yorubas threatened secession when Abiola did not get what he 'deserved.' Nothing happened. Yorubas did not do anything when Abacha who was a well known northerner who despised the Yoruba was killing your people. Nothing happened. If Abacha didn't die, more Yorubas would have died. And nothing would happen. lol Obj is not even a yoruba man to the core- what has he done for yoruba people? Northern people do not vote for someone because they are Muslim, they vote for people who their leaders tell them to vote for. POINT BLANK
If the Northern leaders say vote for the Igbo man, because he will have our interest in mind as well over the Muslim Yoruba, then they will vote in droves for the Igbo man.
Win over the northern elite and they will deliver their people. It is as simple as that. The Hausa do not differentiate who they are killing. In Jos, the Hausa killed more Yorubas than they did with anybody from the East. Many of these Yorubas shared the same religion as them, but they still killed them.
The North do not consider you Yorubas as true Muslims. That is why I laugh when you think they are your friends.
OBJ burned that bridge and the north is looking for new allies. The north calculates better than any other region. Why not make their former enemies as their allies?
Appeasing the Igbos is a way of taming the East. youre clueless- a dumby and obviously never met a northerner- not even sultan of Sokoto can convince an Hausa to vote for a non muslim- Northerners are not clueless and are very smart but what they care about is MAINLY religion not ethnicity. If anything what gives Jonathan the upper hand is that there are governors who need PDP to win to get second term in office. |

So in your opinion when realistically will the SE produce the president? igbo can get a president anytime - but it wont be by Zoning or northerners Votes, religous differences Killed all that, No southerner should even depend on that- when it comes to the Polls those majority of northern states will go to a northerner or atleast a southern muslim. If Igbo kwenu want to win presidential election in Nigeria- they gotta have a Vice presidential candidate who is a muslim yoruba from the NORTH- kwara, Kogi, Niger state. That way it the presidential Ticket gets Yorubas votes, Igbos Votes,SS and middle belt Votes. The Only people that can put that together is OBJ and GEJ- The average Northerner wont vote for a christian Zoning or NOT- in 2003 Northerners voted for heavily for Buhari- the states that Obj got votes from were rigged because the Govenors of those states wanted 2nd terms in their states. The Jonathan has the upper hand now because of how he emerged as president.- If Igbo want to get presidency it DEF wont be by the same way GEJ emerged. na_so: I have refrained from speaking on this Igbo support for jonathan or IBB for a long time . The SE no doubt is the beautiful bride in the coming elections but i expect them to be wise. I will advice that they take the option that best suites them. The question now is , do they know the best option? are they taking a position based on proper appraisal of the political space? or is it revenge for the deeds of the SS or just hanging on promises from an individual whose record show a man with a penchant for explaining away why he can not keep prmosises?
The Igbos must note very clearly that if 40 years has not been able to erase the pains of the civil war, so has 40 years not doused the suspicion the average northerner has for the Igbos. LIKE IT OR NOT, THIS WILL DETERMINE WHAT HAPPENS IN 2015, EVEN WITH PDP ROTATION.
something a lot of us seem to be be overlooking is that while the average southerner thinks the PDP zoning arrangement means power rotates amongst the six geopolitical regions( NW,NE,NC,SW,SS,SE), the north simply understands it as a purely NORTH and SOUTH rotation. The danger in this is that the same geopolitical region say NW can keep producing the president when it goes to the North. The same applies to the south too. The difference is that while the north will be able to handle it, for the south it will be a major problem becuase of the tribal divide and inhererent suscpicions.
TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT, IF THE NORTH HAS TO CHOOSE BETWEEN ,SS,SE,SW, YOU CAN BE SURE THAT THE SW WILL BE THEIR OVERWHELMING FAVOURITE ANYDAY.
If The SE fails to support the SS now, then it is a given that the SS will not support the SE when 2015 comes and with that even with zoning of the PDP, the SE candidate will not win. It is that simple.
Is the presidency a must for the SS at this time? I will say certainly not. What the SS needs is massive development and federal presence that properly represent its contibution to the nigerian economy. Development that will drastically reduce youth restiveness and prepare the people for the days after oil, afterall it is estimated that our reserves may not last more that 35 years from now. It is common knowledge that aside the gigantic campaign promises of successive governments , there has been virtually no work done over the years, hence it understandable if the average ND man now thinks that it might just be different this time, if our son is the steersman for the nation this time.
I believe the SE should get serious commitments from jonathan on massive developments in the SE, during the period of wait. The truth is that the SE and SS are so connected that development or crime in one region inadvertently affects the other. I therefore think it will be foolishness on GEJ's part , to ignore the SE if he plans lasting peace and development in the SS. I am very sure that period of wait for the Igbos will defintively not be less than 8 yrs.(may be i am wrong). IBB will never do 1 term If IBB wins and stays for 8 years at the expense of GEJ,then we can all be sure that it will take the SS,some die hard northern elements and an indiffent SW to scuttle the plan.
This is one time the SE, and SS need to bond together. Anything short will be a lose-lose for both regions. QED. Right now the SW- is chilling and are willing to support Jonathan- mainly because theres no SW going for president or vice president in 2011. All the good performing or popular candidates in the SW right now are going for 2nd term Govenors of their state. Fashola(ACN) is still going to be govenor of the Lagos state and Mimiko (Labour party) is still going to be govenor of Ondo state even Oshiomole(ACN) of Edo is still going to govern Edo. Ribadu and El rufai are probably not running for president- in 2011 Its like 2011- is freaking Give away to the SS- But BELIEVE this will NEVER HAPPEN again! 2015 or 2019 Im sure Ribadu, Oshiomole, Elrufai, Mimiko and Fashola will be contesting either as Vice presidents or president- all of whom are progressive muslims (indifferent about religion) who can appeal to the north, middle belt and South esp the SW and Edo The North is confused the core north doesnt want IBB not hausa-fulani enough . Into 2015- SW, edo, middle belts(Kogi, Kwara,Niger, Nasswarra) and the Core Norths votes will SURELY go to either- Oshiomole, Ribadu, Elrufai, Fashola, Mimiko. - Theres no Doubt about it. No one cares about PDP zoning in the SW, core North, middle belts(Kogi, Kwara,Niger, Nasswarra)- If they have a good candidate from their region going for president or vice- Those region and states ill vote for him. |

Northerners will never rig election in the north to favor a southern candidate. |
