Obasanjo is currently championing the quest to trash the ruling party's agreement, after he had enjoyed it for 8 years. Same people would try their best to make this a south east vs south south issue. Not that we care anymore , because everybody else have been betraying the Igbo from 1950 to the civil war, till date.

All it takes for a northerner to make Yoruba turn against Jonathan at the polls, is to pick a VP from south west. They would likely vote massively for that Yoruba candidate.

As for the Igbo, I really think we should not go back on our culture of abiding by agreements. Not that the north is worth the sacrifice, but the international community is watching.
