this is just for all mentors! |
Dear Father, I am taking my time to write you this note, not for a want of something to do, or the desire to follow the norm in talking across this empty space; but rather to remind you of the future you have promised. The furthest I could remember was the times you come home to hold my hands, throw me up to a giggle and whisper promises of things you’ll give to me If I should position myself with the right crowd, if I could get the best of grades and rake in the brightest Ace as I lay my head close to your chest. They were like lullaby to my young mind and I go to sleep knowing that all will be well if I… My first steps were a copy of yours, my dress sense I picked from you and when the time eventually came for me to carve my own signature, I put yours on one side and I wrote several versions of it, till mine finally evolved. You indeed are my superstar. Today I walk and sprint and event though you dare look at me to say mine is a wasted generation, I know that there is nothing I am today or will be tomorrow that has not been because you were more than a forerunner but a mentor. The funny thing is when people look at me, they are quick to see the strong resemblance. I am not trying to castigate or put a dent in your achievements, or cast aspersions at your personality. No! Far from that; I have learnt by experience that in this world there are no saints, no devils; no whites no black people each of us at best are grey, with our own bag of weaknesses. However this brief note is just a reminder, that as we turn 50, I want you to look back and help me! Help me know that tomorrow is possible. Help me believe once more in the tenets of success through hard work that you have always preached. Help me know that even though You have made some mistakes, I should dare not make the same If my children will not look back tomorrow to curse us both Help me to know that in the final analysis, Your visions and dreams of a better tomorrow are not mere fantasies but one you have decided to see to completion through hard work. Above all help me to see you more as human by owning up for your errors so I do not see them as the norm, but rather a lesson in mistakes conquered. Today and tomorrow, I love you. Your son Me.

On the 7th of April, 2010, the Entrepreneurship Development Centre, Lagos signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Economic Reconstruction Fund (NERFUND). Under the MoU, NERFUND will provide N400m to facilitate single digit interest rate loans to trainees of the Entrepreneurship Development Centre, Lagos. The disbursement of the loan will be monitored by both NERFUND and the ALF to ensure that beneficiaries merit and have produced bankable business plans approved by the Business Development unit of the EDC, Lagos. Each loan has a maximum tenure of three years with a six to nine months moratorium. The terms are further clarified that small enterprises are the primary focus “with the possibility to cover small and medium enterprises later”. Such enterprises are also expected to engage in direct production of goods and services “with not less than sixty percent (60%) local content.” Each entrepreneur needs No Collateral and will get up to N5million with less than 10 percent interest rate, if: 1. trained at the EDC, Lagos 2. has a bankable business plan certified by the EDC, Lagos 3. recommended by the Faculty of EDC, Lagos Payment tenure is three years (36 months) with 6-9 months moratorium; it is non-collatarised yet has micro-insurance cover. Stop dreaming! Actualise it. then thank me later for contact details please email: smith.consulting@live.com <Photo 2>

I just got this information from African leadership forum and that means it is credible. That as a part of CBN's intervention they have released up to 400 million Naira to help Start up entrepreneurs and you could get up to five million Naira with NO COLLATERAL. The payback timeline is 3 years and it has just 10% interest rate. The only thing you need to do is develop a strong proposal concerning your business. Now that is where the problem is for some people. So I have helped you develop a prototype/sample business plan guide. this is what I do well. If you contact me I'll send the detailed info about application requirements, who to contact and the proposal template to you for just N1,200. check my profile for my contact details |

As you are reading this note, some human resource persons are either deleting some people's Cv. Anyone could try to teach you how to write a Cv but what if you are not sure you can add all the consequential arrangements or make it neat and presentable, Statistics have shown also that 65% of peoples' judgment of you is based on your presentation. No wonder a lot of people also attribute legible and beautiful handwriting to intelligence. If you are not up to it. take advantage of Professional aid in the design of your Cv. email: cvsupport@linesfromafrica.com |
Nice tips guys! But if you need your Cv to be designed or edited by professionals please send an email to cvsupport@linesfromafrica.com |
THE VALUE OF YOUR PROPOSAL Most professionals hate writing in general and proposals in particular which makes it bad because it’s actually very hard to do something well if you hate it. Some of the very best account executives, program managers, engineers, designers and business owners that I have met cringe at the thought of having to put their thoughts on paper. So they have this brilliant idea that will be a solution to a prospective client, or they actually have all it takes to win an RFP. What should be next of course is to put their thoughts on paper, and they start to fidget and quickly they start to look out for ways to escape the task the most popular of which is what I call Proposal cloning. Working as a Content Administrator for sometime now, I have seen a lot of cloned proposals. What you as a consultant, do not know is the fact that Cloned proposals (where you tend to grab an electronic copy of somebody else’s proposal, go ahead to change the client’s name to that of the new prospect and then fires it off to the organization that called for an RFP) are the very first we tend to throw out of the pack or are quick to delete out of our inbox. So you lay back and ask why my proposition is not attended to. Or you sit day after day in your office and expect the phone to ring at anytime with the call for a presentation then ask when they take too long, why haven’t they responded to our proposal? Another approach is the “Detailed garbage” approach. The author puts together a string of case studies, documentation, product slicks among others in a bid to impress the client and sends it off painting a message that says “whatever you really need out of all these, you can lay back and sort it out that is your problem!” Please note, Customers don’t want bulk, they don’t want IRRELEVANT details. And they don’t want to do more work than is necessary to get your drift. Writing a contract winning proposal could prove to be a lot of work. I see people wince, at the thought of having to put together a lot of details that may even look tiresome. You need to bring your business side plus your psychological insights, your communication skills, and your creativity together in one package. The value of your proposal is laden in the fact that it is the only means you have of communicating to the highest levels of your client’s organization. It represents your ideas, your product and services, and your company to these people. By creating a powerful tailor-made proposal, you cast a larger shadow. You may be tempted to ask, why do I need all these carefulness when I could easily clone another proposal or get a boilerplate? The gist is, you never know where it’ll end up! Will it be read by the Manager, the CEO, or by a committee of evaluators? So if you think you are not up to it yourself, why not get another professional to help you out? Because writing a proposal is often the most truly professional thing you do. If you need Proposal support for your business visit www.linesfromafrica.com |
