PGON: Google, World no.1 search engine and arguably world's biggest email provide recently added a new service. This service will enable Gmail users to (optional) receive their E-mail messages via SMS on the provided mobile number. (this service is free)

I' m Currently enjoying the service. I don't have to check my email every now and then, Instead i get sms . If the email is worth replying to then i can open my inbox.

Lately i figured out where Google is going. If they can send E-mail via sms, they can equally send ads via sms.

Don't think I can subscribe to this service for now because I'm still trying to manage the incoming SMS on my phone - but it's a nice one which I'll subscribe to soon. I no wan run mad.

PGON: Web design is a lucrative job, looking at the fact that the internet is growing very fast. Everybody, when i say everybody i mean everybody; schools, communities, farmers group, professional, businessmen/women, companies, churches etc wants to have www. They are out there looking for web designers. It is quite unfortunate that there are only very few web designers to met their demands. The few that pose to be designer are frustrating clients with poor designs at cheap price. I once had a discussion with a fellow web designer based in US. How much can you use to do a very simple site, i asked him.

Oh! I bill clients from $100/hr depending on the nature of the site.
I didn't go further to ask him more question.
i did the math myself.

Now i know the truth. The problem with Nigerian web designers is that they tend to bill clients cheap price and produce poor sites in return.


The lack of employment and other factors have crushed the standards for web projects.

World wide web is an international project, and international standards should be maintained when it comes to web design.

Finally, considering Nigerian factors, we should bill clients more. In US and other developed countries, internet is cheap and electricity is constant. In Nigeria we pay a lot for a good internet connection and electricity (You know better)

Well, if I must say, another thing is that some are not well-versed in designing sha, so they can't charge more. Personally, I just design blogs and nothing more than that - still working towards the perfection of the blog design sha.

Another is this: designers find it hard to walk away from some projects.

Yes, the graphics was provided by them - including the logo. What do you mean by graphic optimization so that I don't get you wrong?

Menu too wide? I'll work on that ASAP. As for the fixed nature, I did it like that intentionally; I personally hate scrolling to the top of a page to click on the menu tabs, so I adopted the Facebook style.

Typology and colour Please, could you suggest a better font face/type and colour combo respectively?

After learning the ropes of the Thesis Framework for about 10 months or thereabouts, I advertised a basic blog design project and I got one: www.pressclubnfcsunizik.com. I designed the entire blog (with exception to the graphics in it) but I'd like to know if there's anyway to improve it (either by addition(s) or subtraction(s) of certain features).
What do you think of the blog generally in terms of design, interface, outlook, colour combination, page speed, etc.? Please, rate with reference to 100% if you can.

Sunymoore: *clears throat* why OEM use AMD chip in some of their sys. is because the system is a lower standard pc like HP 530 or smaller systems design for surfing n spread sheet editing, n mostly other spec of this kind are 512 or 1 GIG RAM, 100-160 HDD, 64MB Graphics card and so on. for sys. price let assume the same other spec but different CPU, if the one with AMD costs 2k thhen the one wif Intel will cost 4K. for hd content look @ d image below n see that all my six cores r rose upto 94% if na AMD it go catch fire
of course if u are a simple uuser like maleeg then go for AMD but if u are a hard core user like me then go for INtel. cox there is no need a spread sheeet editor to be using intel.

nne3870: I can't believe that in this 21st century people stil reject money or items simply because i gave it with my left hand. Now the both hands are mine and i can decide to collect or give anything with any of my hands.
