I agreed with you until I got to the last two paragraphs. A relationship is not a business venture or a form of occupation, anybody can call it off without having to compensate the other financially. What I don't support is wasting a person's time if you dont see a future with him or her. If it was the girl that wants to break off from the relationship, will you be suggesting that she compensates the guy?

I also support the not wasting people's time part, but anyone who is only thinking of leaving a 19 year old girl, something is wrong. She's just 19, like the worst thing to do is to leave her. She will feel betrayed and abandoned. The least he can do is be a brother to her.

And I believe in equity. A woman is more emotional than the general man, and must be treated with care. Financially compensation or whatever that means is a stupid arrogant intention. Emotional compensation if I could call it that is far more important, anyone in the 19s upwards that does not have a father needs more than anything, someone to look up to, someone that can be there in tough times and give them the fatherly advice they may need from time to time.

As others told you, will surely regret if you call it off. If you can not learn to love someone that loves you, then your spiritual life is not in order. If she has undesirable characteristics that you don't like, your goal should be to help her gain them. Maybe that's the biggest impact that will count in your old age? Even if you don't want to marry her, adopt her as your sister and straighten your spiritual life. Only God can tell you what the true purpose of you both is.
