People should also think about how to invest huge in agriculture. Right now some agri businesses yield more than 300% profit margin, i.e. if you invest 300k, you can make 900k in about 6 months.

Nice marketing strategy.

Meanwhile I have a list of over 50 businesses you can start with less than 300k, in some you can make up to 200k profit per month

Barbing alone (not salon) from the data we have makes about 70k profit per month and costs about 100k to start.

While a beauty salon costs about 1million to start and generates about 300k profit per month (not very lucrative compared to agriculture)

I finally believe that this is God's own way of sending a message to pastors. In the old days, the priests and levites rarely owned any property so it was fitting to nearly categorize them with those that needed help as mentioned in Deuteronomy 14: 22 - 29 https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Deuteronomy%2014:22-29

But it's no longer so. And moreover, tithes were meant to be given to God the way we were to give Sundays, by enjoying it ourselves and sharing with others especially the less privileged.

22 Be sure to set aside a tenth of all that your fields produce each year. 23 Eat the tithe of your grain, new wine and olive oil, and the firstborn of your herds and flocks in the presence of the Lord your God at the place he will choose as a dwelling for his Name, so that you may learn to revere the Lord your God always. 24 But if that place is too distant and you have been blessed by the Lord your God and cannot carry your tithe (because the place where the Lord will choose to put his Name is so far away), 25 then exchange your tithe for silver, and take the silver with you and go to the place the Lord your God will choose. 26 Use the silver to buy whatever you like: cattle, sheep, wine or other fermented drink, or anything you wish. Then you and your household shall eat there in the presence of the Lord your God and rejoice. 27 And do not neglect the Levites living in your towns, for they have no allotment or inheritance of their own.

28 At the end of every three years, bring all the tithes of that year’s produce and store it in your towns, 29 so that the Levites (who have no allotment or inheritance of their own) and the foreigners, the fatherless and the widows who live in your towns may come and eat and be satisfied, and so that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.
The most important thing at the end of the day is to realize Christ perfected this teaching in His preaching of Charity. We should make it mandatory for ourselves to practice Charity and to pray for the guidance of the Spirit in the process so that we will give to those who need it most. And at the end of the day, it's not that you gave money that matters, but that you gave love, and your time to someone and made them realize how important they are to God.

This is not the sky, so stop dancing around the issue.
The Bible is clear about what tithe is.
I already updated my reply to Deutronomy. And you are the one choosing to see only a part of the scripture. I only answered the first part of the question by telling you the words of Christ Himself.
Christianity EtcRe: Has Daddy Freeze's #FreeTheSheeple Movement Stopped Anyone From Paying Tithe? by skydancer: 9:51am On Dec 10, 2017
uyplus:
How does giving to a pastor equate to giving to God please? If you want to give to God, reach out to the least of his brothers. That's he commanded us to do. He said whatsoever you do to the least of my brother's, that you do unto me. It's only if you wanna take Jesus out of the God head, then giving to the down trodden won't equate to giving to God.

I stopped paying tithes ever since I read Deuteronomy 14 22 to 29.
What you are looking for is simple. When the poor widow gave all she had in the synagogue, Christ said she gave the most. That single comment recognizes that she did indeed give to God.

Concerning the Bible passage you quoted. If you do this, you are also right. But remember that there are bachelors too.
And don't forget the verses 27 to 29

And do not neglect the Levites living in your towns, for they have no allotment or inheritance of their own.

Those last parts obviously mean that we should recognize the established priests. Abraham in his own time, recognized generously the priest of God very generously who blessed him greatly. Don't forget that this same Deutronomy was also watered down because of the people. Priests these days don't live the priests of the old days where one can comfortably say they do not have enough. Instead they go around in Flashy cars and buy jets. This is of course frowned against in the Catholic Church.
Christianity EtcRe: Secret Sins & Consequences by skydancer: 9:35am On Dec 10, 2017
bright007:
I agree with everything you wrote except the part where you have to confess your sins to your fellow man.

That principle has been abolished since Jesus Christ died for us and became our saviour.

Jesus is now our only mediator, hence if you feel the need to genuinely repent of your sins, confess to Jesus only and you are forgiven.

Confessing to man is a false principle
Wow, can you speak with Bible references please? Are you saying Christ was lying when He said:
"If you forgive anyone's sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven."? John 20:23

Note that, this statement of course does not mean the disciples had the power to forgive sins, but through the Holy Spirit he gave them, they will become a vessel and instrument of God who will carry out His work of mercy through them.

And like Christ mentioned previously, He came to fulfill the law. Before, when the whole nation sinned, they would offer sacrifices to God through the priests. Now the ultimate sacrifice has been made through Christ for all our sins and He has also established us as priests through the Baptism. However, the disciples who were given a precise and particular order still hold the priest of the high order and the people who are established to dedicate themselves to God, namely our priests and pastors has such authority through Christ.
Christianity EtcRe: What Does It Mean To Be Poor In The Spirit? by skydancer: 9:31am On Dec 10, 2017
This was a puzzle for me in the beginning until I realized it meant humility. Basically being poor in spirit means choosing to not be proud or self-righteous, but rather displaying a deeply repentant heart and deeply reveres and worships God as the only Holy of Holies and source of all things.
Christianity EtcRe: Has Daddy Freeze's #FreeTheSheeple Movement Stopped Anyone From Paying Tithe? by skydancer:
Why should it? Anyone who has decided to give tithe to God works with God directly as their provider and King and a King deserves their treaty. If God is good to you and you choose to recognize His goodness by paying tithe, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. If you don't trust your priest, it is not exactly your right to judge them as still as you are still going to their church. Else, then you may secretly know in your heart that you are in the wrong place but have refused to make the right decision due to fear and social attachments/concerns.

UPDATE
If you are paying tithe but you are not doing great or equivalent works of charity you are not doing it right.
After reading Deuteronomy 14: 22 to 29 as uyplus suggested, I've concluded that a lot have been deceived indeed. I didn't realize that tithe was meant to be given to God -- just like Sundays are for him (and how we give it to him is to rest). Reading it again, I've realized tithes are similar, you give it to God, through celebrating His goodness in your own household and giving to the poor or less privileged.

An interesting sunday indeed

SCAM ALERT

Dear all, I have decided to be an antiscam ambassador on business threads of this our noble forum.

Why taken the burden

I realise the scammer that duped me have con many in the past and he is probably duping another gentle guy from our member right now. So, as a humanitarian, I have decided to take a time out of my busy schedule to share this information. Perhaps with time, most of our members would be saved from scammers trick.

What you should know

1. There are trusted xchangers in various business threads
2. There are thieves waiting for you to fall to their trick and do a way with your hard earned money

How to identify the trusted xchangers

1. There are people that have a great reputation in this business here. I will mention few. Knowing them is a step to avoid scammer. However, it's not 100% guarantee, but it's better than not having the list.

Examples of these trusted fellows are:

LadyF
Aleairhub
Justi4jesu
Bookiemart01
Singapore1
Nsonaso
Sunboy
Legalwealth
Omotisa
Iyemik
Bdavis
Saintpn
Mariesio
Vizboy
Toluxa1
Gunbiz
Jazes
Tumababa
Juliustip
Naira2usd2naira
Enterpro
Cjsmack
HazzanTazzan

etc

2. You can take the vouch of at least 5 of the trusted members in order to be able to trust an unknown fellow you wanna deal with

How to identify scam

1. A scammer don't usually write details such as number etc about themselves in their profile
2. They usually offer mouthwatery trade e.g selling bitcoin at 400/$ when others are selling at 450 or 500
3. Their mobile number if typed on google brings out information different from what they tell you
4. Their profile is usually new - few months, a year or 2 years old
5. They usually have little or no posts
6. They are always in a hurry during transaction.
7. They use different names and different accounts
8. Block your number immediately after you transfer money to them
9. They sometime come in the name of religion, calling themselves convenat child of God, commited muslim...blah..blah..blah
10. The greedy scammer engages in legit xchange for some period in order to earn your trust and burst you BIG
11. They send money from bank account different from their name. This is MITM technique beware.
12. They write on the thread false scam story so that you would let your guard down when dealing with them
13. They send customise SMS claiming a trusted member vouch for them or false bank SMS alert
14. They sometime claim they don't have nairaland account in order to protect thier moniker.

How to prevent yourself

1. Trade with trusted xchanger ONLY - This is not 100% guarantee though, but it's more advisable than blind dealing OR
2. Obtain as many vouch as possible before your deal OR
3. Use ESCROW incase you are trading with less trusted fellow
4. Research on identity of the fellow you want to trade with i.e don't rely 100% on my list - confirm my list from your little research

List of identified scammers

Unfortunately, I wrote this in haste, and I won't be able to come up with more than few data. You are welcome to add your own lists of identified scammers you have identified (with proof) and I will add it up.
