rolletj:@bigt2 is correct. Did your PC have indifications of a hardware problem before now? What point does it show the colors, immediately you put it on or when you are fully booted? If it's when you just put it on, then it's most likely a harware problem and you may need to see an engineer around you. |
This is so disgusting. This amount of graphics should not be allowed on this post. cc @OAM4J, @Ngwakwe, @Afam4eva, @maclatunji, @Ikenna351, @Seun |

superstar1:Because they sound more stylish and 'imported', don't we all like imported things? Especially if it's for a lady. |
Does anyone know the actual representation of God (chukwu) in Nsibidi? Have been scourging the Internet for it without success. |
There's actually a project aimed at reviving the original Igbo language -- which is obviously not the latin alphabet system that was imposed on us. It's more developed and from its age, may have even influenced the formation of a lot of other languages. Here's the facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=111498838921066 |
If only elections are based on facts |
a lawyer and human rights activist, Prof. Itse Sagay, said in a telephone conversation with Saturday PUNCH that there was no technical difference between the two acts and that persons involved in either should be made to face the wrath of the law.So Prof. Sagay called Punch or Punch called all these lawyers to get media attention? Did the president suggest an offender should not face the full wrath of the law in any way? Even the false accusation about Jim Nwobodo being jailed by Buhari who is known to have jailed countless people carelessly and 'lawfully' creating new laws as he wished to jail whoever he wishes rightly, is it wrong to criticize that? Does being a smart dictator make you less corrupt? “Which of them is allowed in our law whether he calls them in different names? They are both punishable under our penal laws. Stealing is even worse than corruption. Both of them carry a legal element of deliberately taking what does not belong to someone with the intent of depriving the taxpayers.”I thought you said they're the same and one object? Why then does it have two constitutional interpretations Sir Fred? |

I think it's always good to plan early, best of luck with your wedding.. |
APC is apparently going to undo this government's achievements out of hate. There're traffic jams in most of Nigeria's populous cities, we're currently trying to encourage car manufacturers to move to Nigeria, GE is already installing a $1 billion manufacturing plant in Calabar, Innoson, Kia and others are working, Toyota is on the way, how can we start moving backwards in the name of inclusion? The average citizen in Nigeria's lower class has more important concerns and needs than the possible reduced price (which is still actually unaffected) that can come with reduced importation tariff. So please go back to the drawing board Sir, and think about more things you can improve rather than ignorantly acknowledging this government's achievements. |

sincerenigerian:So I watched the interview in a bid to see how Buhari had wanted to solve some of our problems. From the video however, he isn't able to address most questions thrown to him directly but rather tends to cling to past 'atrocities' (blame game as Nuhu Ribadu put it) or gave insufficient responses. On another note, I had never listened to Ibrahim Shekarau speak before but I got to really like him in this debate, in fact I was amazed that we had such a candidate in 2011. That asides, It would be fair to summarize his responses as: 1. Power: He didn't really know how to solve the problem but rather continued to talk about how so much money had been spent on it without any result even after the 'interviewer' tried to bring him back on topic. Both Nihu Ribadu and Ibrahim however gave excellent responses. 2. Correcting anomalies in govt. expenditure: He didn't seem to understand what the 'interviewer' was saying and instead spoke about how to make the economy better. When he was recalled again however, he said he would 'convince' the legislators to accept less allowances et al. The other aspirants didn't seem far better on this point. 3. Education: Buhari said there was nothing wrong with our educational system, though he added it needed improvement. When however the interviewer reiterated on this and also asked him why his children were educating in foreign private schools, he said that's part of democracy. He was not comparable with other candidates on this. Ibrahim again beat all of them hands down. I'm surprised by his deep understanding of this problem even at 2011. 4. Health: Here he thought we should look for help from foreign personnels to help/teach us so we can produce drugs as well as supervise usage of funds allocated to healthcare. (Eh, Nuhu Ribadu congratulated Fashola for having an excellent healthcare system in Lagos), I don't really know who beat who here but Nuhu Ribadu had excellent suggestions on how to stop outsourcing kidney, heart et cetera problem to foreign hospitals, start drug manufacturing and also stated that we actually have some of the best doctors in the world. The funniest and last question which got me amused however was when the interviewer asked why the next president should come from the North, I don't know why the Interviewer asked the question but Ibrahim gave a good answer and also talked about how PDP had corrupted the word 'zone'. It also became apparent that this was the strategy used by the PDP/Jonathan, (all the present aspirants/candidates were from the North). If this is what you're presenting for Nigeria, then you truly do not mean well. |
naijaboiy:And one of the reasons for that is: you want to really know if your first love is the best for you. |
Good work OP. If Nigeria begins to participate actively and win International competitions, it will be only a matter of time before companies start sponsoring similar competitions here in Nigeria. Good human resources are scarce in Nigeria |
Democracy is flawed. What is democracy if the citizens can't actually make a valid choice? In the US SuperPACs are responsible for "corrupting democracy" through massive sponsorship of select candidates. Malawi fielded 14 presidential candidates in her 2014 elections but the results were nearly canceled because of poor election conducts (casualties were involved) and most likely it wasn't free and fair. Nigeria on the other hand has improved the credibility of her elections but currently stuck with two presidential aspirants as her best presidential candidates out of the numerous political parties in Nigeria; indicating maybe that the others were too poor to buy a presidential form or reject a step down/don't contest bribe. If Dictionary.com definition of democracy: "Government by the people; a form of government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised directly by them or by their elected agents under a free electoral system. a state having such a form of government." is right, then I think it's high time Nigerian youths began planning the best for herself. It is not news that our election primaries process is flawed -- AO Omobawale has an entire article on it http://www.ajol.info/index.php/ajpssi/article/view/34167 We need a better election primaries process, Nigerian youths need to know the exact steps required to participate in the leadership and development of Nigeria constitution-wise. Majority of people in our "House of Assemblies" are corrupt and there are few people currently in Nigeria's politics that can lead us. What this means is that we need more capable Nigerians participating actively in our politics. Our current electoral act is messed up, in February 2015 there are two processes involved in voting, one is 'accreditation', the other is the voting. I don't know why that is needed when we have moved to e-voting and spend billions of naira a day on it. There's no merit I can deduce from this process except to reduce the number of voters and thus increase the amount of votes that can be abused. In addition, we have PVCs now and a better national identification system, yet our electoral act prevent any form of online voting even if accompanied with proper identification technology. Who is deceiving who? If our politicians can't understand how to make our state better by taking advantage of technology, then they need to be changed or trained. I don't see the point of online campaigns or advertisements when we're faced with a Hobson's choice and and majority of the people who will vote are gullible innocent illiterates who don't participate in online media. If we really want things to be better, we have to actively start making it better now. Our concerned youths need to turn their attention into developing systems that help enlighten the majority of the Nigerian populace, improve literacy and reduce the information gap rather than working to develop a new Facebook. In this regards I respect people like Chike Mgbemena and his team, plus various others who I don't know that have been building apps and website in this regards. And also members like Obiagelli, OAM4J, NairalandOP, Scribble, Jaideyone, Sincere9gerian, Afam4eva, Litmus, Ngakwe etc who contribute to the politics section. Our entire democratic system needs overhauling, the Internet provides us with a platform where we can unite, speak and act with one voice. We can't fold our hands and continue to wait for someone to give us a "credible candidate", we need to start building them now. Thank you. |
Hmmmm, so this is what Buhari intends to do before he goes to the grave? It might work though but it's obvious that he's willing to die for Nigeria. |
In addition, Buhari doesn't have the kind of mind/democratic listening we need for economic growth. All the period he was fighting corruption (in the south??), he never thought of how he could setup an anti-corruption monster such as EFCC (setup by OBJ in 2003) and even since its formation has not thought of how he could contribute to this organization in Nigeria but has been consistently trying to regain power as the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. |
