THEME: THE WORD IN YOU

THEME SCRIPTURE: ...receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls (James 1:21).

The Word of God is anointed; it possesses the inherent ability to produce in you what it talks about. For example, when you meditate on the Word on protection and imbibe that message of divine preservation, you no longer need to pray for protection. The Word becomes your protector. The Bible declares, “..his truth shall be thy shield and buckler” (Psalm 91:4).

That's what the Word does; it becomes in you what it talks about. When you hear and receive the Word on prosperity, it will manifest prosperity in your life. The same applies to the Word concerning health; it produces divine health. Proverbs 4:20-22 says, "My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh."

The Word is life and medicine to your flesh but only if you keep it in your heart and in your mouth, and live by it. There are some who have been sick for a long time and aren’t getting better because they haven’t kept the Word in their hearts and in their mouths.

Keeping the Word in your heart and in your mouth is meditation; it’ll get rid of any health issue in your body. It’ll cleanse your blood vessels and get rid of the tumour. The key to divine health and whatever else you may desire in life is the Word in you; it’ll produce what it talks about.

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the power of your Word that’s at work in me. Your Word produces health, strength, wisdom, protection and prosperity in me. I live in the reality of all that your Word says about me. Thank you for the blessing of knowing your Word and living accordingly, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY
Proverbs 4:20-22 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. 21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. 22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

1 Thessalonians 2:13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

James 1:21-25 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. 25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

THEME: A HEART THAT BEATS WITH COMPASSION

THEME SCRIPTURE: Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted (Matthew 5:4).

In the opening scripture, the Lord Jesus wasn’t referring to people mourning out of sorrow; rather, He was speaking prophetically, using the language of the prophets. In the Old Testament, when prophets mourned, it wasn’t over personal grief. They mourned because of the state of God’s people, for example, their disobedience, captivity, or spiritual decline. They cried out in intercession, burdened for the souls of men and the honour of God’s Name.

So, when the Lord Jesus said, “Blessed are they that mourn,” He was referring to those whose hearts are moved by the things that move God. This kind of mourning is born of love and compassion. It’s not sorrow for self but godly sorrow for others, an intercessory response to the spiritual condition of people and nations.

For example, you hear that someone has stopped going to church, or that a Christian has grown cold in their faith, and then your heart aches, not in judgment but in prayer. You weep before the Lord, crying out for their restoration. And thanks be unto God! The Lord assures that those who mourn like this, those who weep in prayer for others, shall be comforted.

The comfort comes when the answers manifest, when you see that person restored, when you see their lives changed and their situations turned around. Intercession moves the heart of God. There’re times in prayer when words fail and tears speak; it’s part of the deep travail for souls. There’re moments when the burden is so strong that all you can let out are deep sighs and profuse tears of intercession (Romans 8:26).

And as you weep, the power of the Spirit goes into operation. I have experienced that many times. I have files with names of people I’ve prayed for through the years, some of whom today are ministers of the Gospel and leaders in different churches. Some had bad attitudes; some were inconsistent; others faced struggles in their business or faith. I wrote their names down and interceded for them with tears.

But today, seeing their transformation, I rejoice; I’m comforted. When your heart beats deeply with compassion for others, you align yourself with the very heart of God. Your intercession becomes His channel of comfort and change in the world. So, let your heart be tender. Let compassion move you to prayer.

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for giving me a heart that beats with your compassion to always intercede with passion and love for the lost, the weak, and the straying. Through my prayers, lives are changed, restored, and your Kingdom advances mightily. Thank you for the comfort and joy of answered prayer, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

THEME: THE POOR IN SPIRIT

THEME SCRIPTURE: ....Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 5:3).

When the Lord Jesus said, “Blessed are the poor in spirit,” He wasn’t referring to those who lack material possessions. Rather, He meant those who, in their spirits, have given up everything to God. These are people who don't hold anything back in their service of the Lord. You may see them surrounded by abundance, yet in their hearts, they’ve counted those things as nothing. They can give and spend anything for the sake of the Gospel.

The Apostle Paul expressed this in Philippians 3:8 when he said, “Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord....” You must come to that point in your life where the only thing that truly matters is the purpose of Christ, His eternal Kingdom, and the advancement of the Gospel of His salvation.

People may see you with beautiful possessions but those things don’t have dominion over you. The Spirit of God can tell you to give everything as an offering, and there’ll be no hesitation or argument. That’s what it means to be poor in spirit; you’ve relinquished ownership of everything to God. You have a heart that’s completely yielded to Him in love. Your satisfaction isn’t in the fleeting pleasures of this world but in Christ alone.

Notice what the Lord said about those who live this way; they’re the ones to whom the Kingdom of heaven belongs. The “kingdom of heaven” is the divine order of Christ’s dominion established in the earth. It’s the life and authority of heaven manifested here and now to bless and transform men’s lives. The poor in spirit dispense the glories of the Kingdom and live out heaven’s realities on earth. Hallelujah!

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for bringing me to a place of total submission to your will and purpose. My heart is yielded to you completely; nothing in this world holds my affection above your will. I live only for the purpose of the Gospel, to saturate the world with the Word. I’m a steward of divine treasures, using all that I have for your glory and the expansion of your Kingdom, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY

THEME: THE CHALLENGE OF EXCELLENCE

THEME SCRIPTURE: Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm (Daniel 6:3).

Before I was a teenager, I said to some of my friends, “I’ll never be poor.” They laughed and said, “How dare you say that? Do you know the future?” Then I gave them an answer they probably didn’t expect. I said, "one of the reasons I know I’ll never be poor is that I can shine shoes and I can wash cars too.” Back then, I used to clean my dad’s shoes, and wash his cars, and I was very good at them because I learnt from him.

Even as a child, I added value to myself. I learned skills, developed abilities and was determined to be excellent at whatever I did. And excellence is not just about skill; it’s a mindset. The Bible talks about Daniel, that an excellent spirit was found in him, and the king made him a ruler because of it. Excellence promotes you!

In everything you do, refuse mediocrity. Develop your mind. Broaden your knowledge. Study, read, learn, and grow. Excellence requires diligence and hard work, but it’s worth it. Even the way you dress should reflect the excellence of Christ. You’re royalty. You’re a child of the King; therefore, dress neatly, talk intelligently, and carry yourself with honour. Don’t be late to work or for your appointments. Arrive early, plan your day, and strive to always be ahead.

God doesn’t suddenly make you a king; He trains you first. Every experience in your life is part of that training. You’ve got to win at each level to move higher. If you’re a leader, put more into your leadership. If you teach or lead a cell, study more and make your meetings richer and more impactful. Let people see growth in you. Don’t be the same person you were last year; grow, improve, and advance.

If you’re into sports, be the best. Be so valuable to your team that they’ll do anything to keep you. Excellence makes you indispensable. Be so excellent at what you do that no one can ignore you. That’s the challenge of excellence: becoming the best for the glory of God!

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the spirit of excellence at work in me. I’m diligent, disciplined and dedicated to improvement. My mind is alert and productive; I’m creative and innovative. I function with wisdom and distinction, and I’m continually adding value to my world. I excel in all I do, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

THEME: ADMINISTRATORS OF THE CHRIST ECONOMY

THEME SCRIPTURE: But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven… (Hebrews 12:22-23).

Think about the country or nation where you live; who plans its economy? You have the executive branch, Congress or Parliament, as the case may be. They decide what happens. The Bible lets us know that we belong to a higher assembly called the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn.

That means we’re part of the divine body that determines what happens in the heavenly economy, the economy of Christ. Each of us has our name registered in heaven. We’re not outsiders or spectators; we’re participants in the administration of divine resources on earth. So, what are you doing about the Christ economy, which is God's divine system of supply and resource management intended to bring salvation, blessing, and transformation to the world?

The Christ economy was designed for the salvation and prosperity of nations, and we’re its dispensers. Stop thinking like someone waiting for financial miracles; use the Name of Jesus. When you speak, resources align, doors open, and supply flows. In the Christ economy, abundance never stops; it flows ceaselessly. That’s where you live: in superabundance and overflowing grace, where everything you require is continually supplied for you to administrate for Kingdom growth and expansion. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

THEME: LIVE ABOVE SATAN’S INFLUENCE

THEME SCRIPTURE: Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve (Luke 22:3).

Judas Iscariot was one of the twelve disciples of the Lord Jesus. He walked with the Master, heard His teachings, and witnessed His miracles. Yet, Judas had a weakness; he loved to take what didn’t belong to him, and that opened the door for Satan to take control of his heart.

The Bible tells us Judas was the treasurer for Jesus’ ministry and often stole money from the bag (John 12:6). What he didn’t realise was that Satan exploits a person’s weaknesses, the very sins they love, to control and destroy them. Judas thought he was being clever, but he was actually being led toward his own downfall.

The Scriptures reveal that Judas went to the leaders of the Jews and offered to betray the Master. When he led the soldiers to Jesus and betrayed Him with a kiss, Jesus looked at him and said, “...Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?” (Luke 22:48 NKJV). Even then, Judas felt no remorse.

It wasn’t until he saw Jesus condemned to death that the horror of what he had done truly struck him. Filled with despair, Judas went out and hanged himself. He was lost forever. That’s how Satan works. He blinds his victims with deception and desire until they no longer understand themselves. He drives them to commit acts they can’t explain and choices they can’t undo.

Judas never intended to become a murderer, but sin is a path with no safe distance. Think about how many people today, like Judas, are led astray by greed, anger, or lust! Many murderers, robbers and violent men have families, parents, or children they love. Yet they commit the unthinkable and later ask themselves, “Why did I do that?”

People can be driven by unseen influences when they yield to wrong desires. That’s why it’s important to guard your heart. Never allow greed, bitterness, lust, or anger to find a place in you. Fill your heart with the Word and yield yourself to the Holy Spirit. That’s how to keep Satan out and live above his influence, walking in righteousness and truth.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the light of your Word and the ministry of your Spirit that keeps me walking in righteousness and truth. My heart is filled with your love, and my thoughts are aligned with your will. I refuse every influence of Satan and walk in the wisdom, purity and power of the Spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

THEME: THE LAW OF THE DOUBLE PORTION

THEME SCRIPTURE: But he shall acknowledge the son of the hated for the firstborn, by giving him a double portion of all that he hath: for he is the beginning of his strength; the right of the firstborn is his (Deuteronomy 21:17).

Many misunderstand what the Bible refers to as the principle or law of the double portion. According to this principle, let’s say a man had six sons to whom he was required to apportion his inheritance. He was required to divide his inheritance into seven equal parts or portions. Each son would receive one portion, while the extra or seventh portion was given to the firstborn.

That extra portion to the firstborn means he got the “double portion.” He got double what everyone else got; it’s not about receiving twice as much as what the father had. The double portion is the right of the firstborn, a mark of inheritance, a symbol of leadership and heirship in the family. The one who received the double portion became the heir and the one recognized to carry on the father’s authority and name.

Genesis 48:5-6 shows that Reuben, the firstborn of Jacob, was entitled to the double portion. But he lost it due to his transgression. The inheritance was transferred to Joseph, who received it through his sons Ephraim and Manasseh. This is why there are two tribes, Ephraim and Manasseh, named after Joseph, instead of only one tribe.

The same principle is what Elisha referred to when he said to Elijah, “...I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me” (2 Kings 2:9). He wasn’t asking for twice the “anointing” Elijah had; how is that even possible? Rather, he was requesting to inherit Elijah’s position as the leading prophet, as the ‘firstborn’ as it were, among the school of prophets.

When Elijah was taken up by a chariot of fire, Elisha saw it happen. The mantle of Elijah fell, and Elisha picked it up. Returning to the Jordan, he asked, “Where is the Lord God of Elijah?” and struck the waters. The Jordan parted just as it had for Elijah. When the sons of the prophets saw this, they bowed before Elisha and declared, “...The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha...” (2 Kings 2:15). They recognised that the same spirit, the same prophetic office and authority was now upon Elisha.

That’s the true meaning of the double portion: inheriting the same authority and position, not necessarily asking for more power or “double anointing”; there’s no such thing. You already have the Spirit living in you in His fullness. Hallelujah!

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for granting me understanding through your Word. I walk in the knowledge of my inheritance in Christ, exercising authority and dominion as your heir. Your Word enlightens my path and causes me to function in wisdom and truth, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

THEME: PRAYING IN THE SPIRIT

THEME SCRIPTURE: Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit Himself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered (Romans 8:26).

Praying in the Spirit is the most effective way for us to pray as Christians. But praying in the Spirit is in two parts. The first is when your spirit prays by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, giving you words in the Spirit in other tongues. As you pray in those tongues, your spirit is energised, built up like a towering edifice: Jude 1:20, “But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.”

1 Corinthians 14:4 says, “He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself....” This is why we tell God’s people to speak in tongues a lot. It keeps your spirit, soul and body supercharged with the power of God. You’re edified, fortified, strengthened with might in your inner man by the Spirit. Hallelujah!

But then there’s also a second level of praying in the Spirit that’s also of great blessing and benefit. This time, it’s not your spirit that’s praying but the Holy Spirit Himself praying or making intercession through you. That’s what we read in our opening scripture.

In the first one, He gives you utterance, you speak words in tongues. But in this case, there’s no utterance; you don’t speak in a known or unknown language; rather, what comes out of you are deep sighs and groanings of the Spirit. At that level, the Holy Spirit takes over completely, praying through you in perfect harmony with the will of the Father.

When you allow the Holy Spirit to intercede through you this way, the result is always glorious. The scripture says, “...He that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit...” (Romans 8:27). It’s not your mind or your understanding; it’s the Spirit’s mind being expressed through you. The ensuing verse 28 reveals part of the outcome, “…all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.” Yielding to the Holy Spirit to intercede through you causes all things to align and work out in your favour, including adverse or challenging situations. That’s the power of praying in the Spirit, amongst several other blessings and benefits. Hallelujah!

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the precious gift of the Holy Spirit, who helps me to pray according to your perfect will. Even now, as I pray in the Spirit, I’m filled with your power, and my life is aligned with your purpose, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY
Romans 8:26-28 AMPC So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance. 27 And He Who searches the hearts of men knows what is in the mind of the [Holy] Spirit [what His intent is], because the Spirit intercedes and pleads [before God] in behalf of the saints according to and in harmony with God’s will. 28 We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose.

THEME: NO SUBSTITUTE TO THE NEW BIRTH

THEME SCRIPTURE: Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God (John 3:3).

There are people who think if their good works outweigh their bad works, then God would accept them. But it's not about good works and bad works; it's about your nature. Galatians 6:15 says, "For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature." Being a new creature, with the life and nature of God is what determines your place with Him.

It's for the same reason the Lord Jesus said, "You must be born again." That wasn't a denominational idea or a church doctrine. It's your only access to eternal life. He said, "....Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God" (John 3:3). In other words, that person can't access, know or understand the Kingdom. The Kingdom of God is already here in Christ Jesus, but you can't be part of it until you're born again.

John 3:6 says, "That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit." This new birth is the recreation of the human spirit by the Holy Ghost through the Word of God. It's not a religious experience; it's the impartation of the life and nature of God into your spirit. That's why the Lord said, "Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again" (John 3:7).

There's no alternative; it's not a matter of choice or personal preference. If you're going to be part of God's Kingdom, you must be born again to experience the God-life and come into oneness with Him. It can't happen any other way. Perhaps you're reading this and you've never been born again, turn to the Prayer of Salvation page at the end of the book, say the words and mean them with all your heart. Right away, you'll become a child of God with eternal life imparted to your spirit.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. I affirm that I'm born again, a new creature in Christ Jesus. I walk in the reality of the divine life and function in your kingdom of light, righteousness and glory. Thank you for making me one with you, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

THEME: YOU’RE THE SOLUTION

THEME SCRIPTURE: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28).

No problem has ever existed before its solution was born. Always remember this! I’ve often said that problems gravitate towards their solutions. If the seed of a solution is in you, then the problem will come looking for you. That’s why certain challenges find their way to you; it’s because you carry the answer within you.

There may have been challenges you’ve faced in life; it’s because God ordained them for your victory and promotion. Don’t fear troubles and trials; they’re the springboard to your next and higher level of greatness and promotion. The Bible says, “...Count it all joy when you go through diverse tests” (James 1:2). Why? It’s because your victory is assured.

So, when you face challenges, say, “Dear Lord, thank you; I was born for this!” The Word declares, “...all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28) This means you can never be disadvantaged. This is the reality. 1 John 5:4 says, “whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.”

Anything born of God, whether it’s you, your words, your dreams, your vision, or your ideas, they overcome the world. 1 John 4:4 says, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” That means you’re born of Him, fashioned in victory, and programmed for success. You’re not a victim but a victor.

You’re the answer, the solution the world is looking for. You were born to win, to reign, and to manifest the glory of God. Romans 8:19 says, “For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God”; and that includes you.

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for your glory and righteousness that radiate and manifest through me. Your Word is at work in me, and I’m walking in the light of my victory in Christ Jesus. I live above circumstances, knowing that all things work together for my good. I’m born of you, and I’ve overcome the world, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY:
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Joshua 1:9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Romans 8:37-39 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

THEME: HE TOOK YOUR BLAME

THEME SCRIPTURE: And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight (Colossians 1:21-22).

How gracious and loving the Lord is, to think that He actually took responsibility for your errors! He took responsibility for your sins. All that time you were blaming yourself for something terrible that you did, you actually didn’t have to because God put all the blame on the Lord Jesus.

When He hung on the Cross, all your sins and mistakes; past, present and future were fully remitted. So, today, even when Satan and others blame you, or you blame yourself, it makes no difference. There’s no judgment against you, for the Bible says, “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit” (Romans 8:1).

There’re people who, when they do something wrong, find it difficult to forgive themselves, sinking into guilt and regret. No! Believe in the Lord Jesus and what He accomplished for you. Stop blaming yourself. The Bible says, “And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight” (Colossians 1:21-22).

Think about it! He didn’t say you never did anything wrong; rather, in spite of all the wrong things you’ve done, He’s not mad at you. He reconciled you to Himself. He made you righteous, holy, sanctified, glorified and justified. That’s Christianity. That’s the Gospel. That’s the message He sent us to tell the world; that He’s not holding men’s sins against them: “To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them...” (2 Corinthians 5:19).

The price has been paid. The guilt has been lifted. Everyone who believes is free to live in God’s righteousness, peace and joy forevermore. Romans 5:8-10 says, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us…For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.” Hallelujah!

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the wonderful truth of your Word. I rejoice because Jesus took my blame; now I live free from guilt, condemnation and accusation. I’m holy, unblameable, and unreproveable in your sight. I live in your presence justified, sanctified and glorified, rejoicing in the liberty of your grace, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

THEME: AMBASSADORS OF PEACE

THEME SCRIPTURE: And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house (Luke 10:5).

From our opening scripture above, we see that our Lord Jesus made us ambassadors of peace and told us exactly how to minister peace. He said, “When you enter into a house, first say, Peace be to this house.” He didn’t say to wish it silently or to think it; He said to say it because there’s power in your words. You speak with heaven’s authority.

Then, He said, “...If the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again” (Luke 10:6). That means peace is transferable. When you speak peace, you release divine substance—the very peace of Jesus Christ Himself—into that environment. And if it’s not received, it returns to you, full and intact. Glory to God!

When you pray for nations or cities, the Lord has given us the same pattern. Speak peace to them. Say, “Peace be upon Bulgaria. Peace be upon Nigeria. Peace be upon Ghana. Peace be upon Hungary. Peace be upon Poland. Peace be upon Russia. Peace be upon the United Kingdom. Peace be upon the United States of America.” Speak peace to the nations of the world. Declare it boldly. You’re an oasis of peace in a troubled world.

Remember what the Lord said in John 14:27, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” Speak as one that has actually been given peace by the Prince of Peace Himself. We’re bearers of His peace that surpasses understanding. And His peace always comes with prosperity, for peace and prosperity are bound together in divine harmony.

Peace also means power over crisis, power over turbulence and the raging negative circumstances of life. Just as the Master declared peace over the raging tempest when He was sailing with His disciples (Mark 4:39), speak peace over your home, your family, and everything that concerns you, in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Hallelujah!

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for making me an ambassador of peace. I carry the peace of Christ everywhere I go. I speak peace to my nation, to its leaders, and to all people. I declare that peace and prosperity prevail in my home, in my family and amongst my loved ones, in the mighty Name of the Lord Jesus. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY:
Isaiah 52:7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!

John 14:27 AMPC Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]

THEME: FRUSTRATE SATANIC AGENDAS

THEME SCRIPTURE: Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4).

It’s important that we keep exercising our divine authority to frustrate satanic activities in our world and impede their agendas until their appointed time. 2 Thessalonians 2:7 says, “For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.” “He who now letteth” is us, the Church.

We’re the restraining force against evil in the world today. We’re the reason Satan can’t rule this world until after the rapture of the Church. Satan knows this; remember when the Lord Jesus ministered in Jerusalem and Judea, the demons cried out to Him saying, “Have you come to destroy us before the time?” (Matthew 8:29).

They challenged Him on the matter of time, on legal grounds. They knew their destruction was certain but not yet due. They understood times and seasons, and they recognised divine legality. In the same way, we understand the legal authority of the Church in this present age. This present dispensation is the age of the Church, the Body of Christ. We don’t run concurrently with the reign of the Antichrist.

Though the spirit of Antichrist is already in the world, it can’t dominate or subdue the Church. The Word declares, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them…” (1 John 4:4). That means the Church has overcome, overshadowed and subdued the antichrist spirit, all satanic forces, and their agents.

So, when you issue decrees and command restraint over evil systems and satanic agendas, do so on the basis of this divine legality. It’s perfectly consistent with God’s eternal Word and His Word can’t be broken. No demon can resist when you act from the perspective of the Word and divine authority. Rule, reign, and win with this truth every day. Keep Satan and his cohorts in check. Restrain them by exercising your divine authority in Christ.

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for granting me the understanding of your Word and the authority to restrain evil in our world. I decree that satanic agendas are frustrated by the power of the Holy Spirit, and righteousness, peace and truth reign in the nations. The influence of darkness is broken, and the Church of Jesus Christ triumphs continually, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY
2 Thessalonians 2:6-7 NKJV And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. [7] For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.

Matthew 8:29 And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?

1 John 4:3-4 AMPC And every spirit which does not acknowledge and confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh [but would annul, destroy, sever, disunite Him] is not of God [does not proceed from Him]. This [nonconfession] is the [spirit] of the antichrist, [of] which you heard that it was coming, and now it is already in the world. 4 Little children, you are of God [you belong to Him] and have [already] defeated and overcome them [the agents of the antichrist], because He Who lives in you is greater (mightier) than he who is in the world.

THEME: IT’S ABOUT FELLOWSHIP

THEME SCRIPTURE: But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly (Matthew 6:17-18).

When we fast, it’s not because we want God to do something or give us something. He already did all He ever needed to do for us in Christ Jesus and has given us all things in Him. For example, 1 Corinthians 3:21-22 says, “Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours; “Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours.”

Things present, and even things in the future, have all been granted you in Christ Jesus. Every promise concerning you has been fulfilled in Him. With this understanding, live without any consciousness of lack. There’s nothing you need that God hasn’t already provided. 2 Peter 1:3 says, “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness….”

Therefore, for the mature Christian, fasting isn’t a tool for obtaining answers from God or seeking blessings from Him. Rather, it’s a sacred period where you withdraw from food and distractions to focus on the Lord in worship, praise, thanksgiving and fellowship. It’s about fellowship. At such times, we can also engage deeper in spiritual warfare and topple forces that destroy men’s lives.

Maturity in Christ brings you to this higher understanding. We pray because of our relationship with our heavenly Father, and prayer is the communion that deepens and sustains our fellowship with Him. So, don’t fast and pray to get what’s already yours. You’re an heir of God and a joint-heir with Christ. You’re the seed of Abraham. The world belongs to you. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. Hallelujah! Therefore, pray in your love for the Master and, with fasting when required, engage the forces of darkness to deliver men from their thraldoms.

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for granting me all things in Christ. I live with the consciousness that I’m a possessor of divine treasures. My prayers and fasting are expressions of love and communion with you as I walk in the reality of my divine heritage, in oneness with the Spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

THEME: RIGHTEOUSNESS—THE NATURE OF GOD

THEME SCRIPTURE: For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him (2 Corinthians 5:21)

When we talk about righteousness, it’s often used so generically that many don’t understand what it actually means. Righteousness is, first and foremost, the nature of God. It is His nature of rightness, His ability to be right and do right only and always. Just as we say God is love, meaning love is His nature, so is rightness His nature.

Furthermore, righteousness is God’s perfection, accuracy and distinction in glory. Righteousness distinguishes God in glory from every other being. This righteousness is absolutely unattainable by man or any creature. Therefore, in His benevolence, God attributes, bestows or imputes His righteousness to man.

Romans 5:17 says, “For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.” The gift of righteousness refers to the legal righteousness that’s been given to the whole world through Christ Jesus. But righteousness is more than a legal standing; it brings us into oneness with God.

When you were born again and received eternal life, you became one with the Lord. You didn’t only receive legal righteousness, you received His nature of righteousness. You became righteous with His righteousness. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

Now you can live right, walk right and talk right. He made you righteous so you can produce fruits and works of righteousness. It’s your nature to live righteously before a righteous and holy God. Walk in the consciousness of this truth; you’re justified, sanctified, and made perfect in Christ Jesus. You’re the epitome of His righteousness. Hallelujah!

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for imparting to me your nature of righteousness. I walk in the consciousness of the truth that I’m justified, sanctified, and made perfect in Christ. I reign in life by righteousness and manifest your glory everywhere, in Jesus’ Name. Amen

FURTHER STUDY
Romans 5:17 AMPC For if because of one man’s trespass (lapse, offense) death reigned through that one, much more surely will those who receive [God’s] overflowing grace (unmerited favor) and the free gift of righteousness [putting them into right standing with Himself] reign as kings in life through the one Man Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

Philippians 3:7-9 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. 8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, 9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

Romans 4:2-5 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God. 3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. 4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. 5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

THEME: REFUSE SATAN’S ACCUSATIONS

THEME SCRIPTURE: And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night (Revelation 12:10).

Observe what the opening scripture tells us about Satan: he’s the accuser of the brethren, the one who constantly brings charges against God’s children. He accuses you before God, to others, and even accuses you to yourself. He thrives on guilt, condemnation and self-blame, whispering lies that sound like your own thoughts.

He could make you question your right-standing with God and doubt your righteousness in Christ. Maybe you’ve been praying about something and it hasn’t yet manifested. Then, his voice comes, “The reason it hasn’t happened is that you’re not fasting enough; therefore, God is not pleased with you.” Then, suddenly, you begin to feel guilty and start repenting and blaming yourself. No!

The Bible says we’re not ignorant of Satan’s devices (2 Corinthians 2:11). He’s a liar and the father of lies. If God needs to talk to you about fasting, He won’t need Satan’s help to do it. Moreover, God never accuses or blames His children. He corrects, instructs, and guides us through His Word and the Holy Spirit, but He never condemns or shames His own. That’s Satan’s strategy: to load you with guilt and make you question your righteousness.

Sometimes, you may find yourself holding someone responsible for something they never did or were guilty of. You’re convinced they’re guilty because Satan accused them to you. He stirs suspicion, resentment and division; refuse to give him the opportunity. Ephesians 4:27 says, “Neither give place to the devil.” Don’t give him the chance to peddle his lies, deceit, treachery and accusations around you. Believe only the Word and judge all things from the perspective of God’s truth and His righteousness. Maintain your righteousness-consciousness and walk in love.

Righteousness-consciousness eliminates guilt, condemnation or inferiority, and places you above Satan, and his accusations. It also gives you the boldness and confidence to pray to God and expect answers. You’reunafraid and unashamed before Him because you have peace with Him through the Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 5:1). Hallelujah

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for making me free from condemnation in Christ Jesus. My mind is filled with your Word, and I refuse to give place to the devil; his accusations have no power over me. I stand justified, sanctified and victorious in Christ Jesus. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY:
Romans 8:33-34 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. 34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

John 8:44 AMPC You are of your father, the devil, and it is your will to practice the lusts and gratify the desires [which are characteristic] of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a falsehood, he speaks what is natural to him, for he is a liar [himself] and the father of lies and of all that is false.

MONDAY, 2ND FEBRUARY

THEME: REAL SPIRITUAL TRAVAIL

THEME SCRIPTURE: Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved (Romans 10:1).

Before you minister God’s Word to people, whether to an individual or to a group, I recommend that you pray fervently in intercession for them to receive the Word. Recall what the Bible says happened to seeds (the Word) that were sown into uncultivated ground; they choked and died (read the Parable of the sower in Luke 8:5-15).

The message you bear is too precious to be handled casually. You can’t share such weighty truths without first ploughing the ground in the Spirit. The right prayer is vital for the message to bring transformation. In Colossians 4:12, Paul said, “Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.”

The underlined phrase is from the Greek verb “agonizomai”, and it means to struggle, to contend, to fight; it’s as one contending for something. During such prayer, it’s as though you’re seizing lives out of Satan’s grip. You look at one who’s yet to know the Lord or already a Christian but doesn’t take the things of God seriously, and your spirit refuses to let them remain in that state.

Therefore, you cry out to the Lord in their behalf, praying for them to be stirred in their hearts and to set their affection on Christ and His love. You pray that they walk in the fear of the Lord, guided by His Word, with their priorities aligned with His divine will. You intercede for their establishment in righteousness, their fervency in spirit, and their fruitfulness in every good work and that their lives bring glory to the Lord in all they do.

The most beautiful part is, as you pray for them this way, something happens in your own spirit. In those moments of intercessory tears and soul travail, the Spirit of God releases more grace into your life. You obtain help in the throne room and draw grace for others. It’s how we transform lives through the ministry of the Spirit in prayer.

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for your grace at work in me as I labour fervently in prayer for those to whom I minister. Their hearts are prepared to receive your truth; every distraction is removed, and their affections are set on you, on things above; they are established in righteousness, fervent in spirit, and fruitful in every good work, bringing glory to you in all things, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY:
Luke 22:44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

James 5:16-18 AMPC Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]. 17 Elijah was a human being with a nature such as we have [with feelings, affections, and a constitution like ours]; and he prayed earnestly for it not to rain, and no rain fell on the earth for three years and six months. 18 And [then] he prayed again and the heavens supplied rain and the land produced its crops [as usual].

THEME: SATURATE YOUR ATMOSPHERE WITH TRUTH

THEME SCRIPTURE: Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth (John 17:17).

As the words of the Lord Jesus reveal in our opening scripture, the Word of God is truth. You’re responsible for saturating your own spiritual atmosphere with truth, and God’s Word is truth. Therefore, every now and then, speak; release faith-filled words into the realm of the spirit. Saturate your environment with truth. Even in your prayers, pray the Word; release divine truths that create realities.

Words are powerful; they carry substance. When those words are God’s truths, they go forth as spiritual missiles, shaping your world in line with your confessions. Even now, declare that you walk in victory and success continually in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Declare that you walk in prosperity and in divine health from the crown of your head to the soles of your feet.

Those are not mere words but spiritual releases; they penetrate the atmosphere of your life, influencing everything in their path. The Lord Jesus said in John 7:38, “...out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” That means your words, spoken in faith and through the Spirit, flow out of you like rivers, impacting your world.

Just as water evaporates unseen into the sky and eventually condenses and pours down as rain, the words you speak may be intangible, but soon they’ll pour down in results. So, speak into your city. Speak into your nation. Speak God’s truths over your ministry, your family, job, business and finances. Don’t relent. Keep pouring truth into the realm of the spirit. It’ll obliterate the darkness, for the Bible says, “...the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not” (John 1:5); and the Word of God is light. Hallelujah!

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the power of your Word in my life and its transformative impact in my environment. I have a glorious life; I walk in success, prosperity and divine health. As I speak, rivers of living water flow from my spirit, causing your will to be established and the atmosphere charged with life, light, victory and righteousness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY:
Job 22:28 Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: And the light shall shine upon thy ways.

Isaiah 55:10-11 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: 11 so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

If you are not yet born again, we invite you to make Jesus Christ the Lord of your life by praying thus:
“O Lord God, I believe with all my heart in Jesus Christ, Son of the living God. I believe He died for me and God raised Him from the dead. I believe He’s alive today. I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life from this day. Through Him and in His Name, I have eternal life; I’m born again. Thank you Lord for saving my soul! I’m now a child of God. Hallelujah!”

THEME: YOU HAVE THEM ALL

THEME SCRIPTURE: According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue (2 Peter 1:3).

There’s something powerful about the righteousness of God at work in you; it causes everything in your life to align with His divine purpose and provision. It’s a righteous thing with God to do you good, because that’s His nature. It’s consistent with His righteousness to channel every necessary resource toward you, ensuring that you lack nothing for all He’s called you to do.

Ephesians 1:3 says He’s blessed us with ALL spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. There’s no blessing from God that’s missing in your life; you have them all! Also, ponder again what we read in our opening scripture: His divine power has given you everything you require for life and godliness. The word godliness there refers to your life of godliness, the things God has called you to do, your life in God.

So think for a moment; what do you require to fulfil the godly life God has called you to? It’s available. You already have it. Satan may suggest otherwise, but he’s a liar and not a factor. Instead, declare, “I walk by faith in God’s Word. I have what God says I have. The Lord is my Shepherd; I refuse to lack. All things are mine.”

This must be your mindset; you must accept it as your present reality. Everything that’s consistent with your course of life comes to you, because you’re walking in the light of your divine supply and abundance. All things are yours (1 Corinthians 3:21). 2 Corinthians 9:8 AMPC says, “...God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation].” And He’s done it! Blessed be God!

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for granting me all things that pertain to life and godliness. I live in absolute abundance, walking in my inheritance in Christ. I don’t lack anything, for you’ve made all grace to abound toward me, and I am furnished liberally for every good work. I walk in the light of your supply, fulfilling your purpose with joy and excellence, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY
2 Corinthians 9:8 AMPC And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation].

THEME: SPEAK IN TONGUES AND
CREATE VISIONS

THEME SCRIPTURE: For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries (1 Corinthians 14:2).

Did you know that you can actually create visions while speaking in tongues? This is one reason you must let the Holy Spirit guide your mind in prayer. There's a difference between a spiritual vision from God that He shows you through your spirit and a spiritual vision that your spirit has the capacity to create. These are two different things.

Many times, we wait only for the visions that God gives, but He doesn’t grant those kinds of visions every day, because they are specific to certain kinds of guidance. However, through the New Birth, God has lifted you into His class of being. We’re associates of the God-kind, partakers of the divine nature (2 Peter 1:4). And as God is, a creator, so are you. This means you can actually use your mind to create visions for what you want to see. So when you speak in tongues, one of two things should be expected: you can create a vision with your mind, your spirit-led imagination, or the Holy Spirit Himself reveals something to you.

So if there’re circumstances you desire to create or change, whether in your church, your city, your life, or even in a nation, speak in tongues. And through the Spirit, create the vision. Then discern by the Spirit if that vision aligns with the will of God. If it does, step into it and bring
it to pass.

Suppose that you were praying for your city because you want to see a change, a move of God in your city. You want to see the expansion of the Kingdom of God in your city. As you pray, begin to see and create the change you want. Use your imaginative power to create the visions of your desire.

God has positioned you as His representative, so you can create your own visions in line with His perfect will. This is why you must give yourself often to praying in other tongues; pictures will come to you. Imaginations will be stirred in you. Select the ones you want and present them before the Lord. Once He endorses them, you’ll know; then you can go ahead and act on them. Praise God!

CONFESSION
As I speak in other tongues, I create visions and realities that are consistent with the perfect will of God. My spirit is synchronised with the Holy Spirit, and I function in higher realms of creativity, revelation and influence. I chart the course of my life, my city, and my world in alignment with God’s plans and purposes. I walk in perpetual victory and continual advancement by the Spirit. Amen.

THEME: YOU’RE GLORIOUSLY DISTINGUISHED

THEME SCRIPTURE:…our Saviour Jesus Christ…gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works (Titus 2:13-14).

The psalmist, in Psalm 135:4, makes a remarkable declaration: “For the LORD hath chosen Jacob unto himself, and Israel for his peculiar treasure.” This is your present-day reality. You’re God’s peculiar treasure; chosen, consecrated, and glorious. He set you apart for His glory and divine purpose.

Ephesians 1:4 says, “According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love.” Think about that! You’re blessed beyond what you presently know; therefore, value who you are and what you have. Never belittle yourself or see yourself as ordinary. The Lord has ordained your greatness.

There’re no two fingerprints alike in the whole world. No two people are exactly the same, and what God wants is to manifest Himself in and through you in a way that He has never done through anyone else. You’re utterly unique and gloriously distinguished.

1 Peter 2:9 says, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.” And guess what? His glory in you is ever increasing. That’s one of the beautiful things the Word of God accomplishes in your life. As you study it, as you listen to it, as it’s ministered to you, you’re like gold being refined, like precious metal being polished, shining ever more brilliantly.

The more you meditate on the Word, the more glorious you are. Hold that image, that glorious image of you that you see in the Word. That’s the real you: holy, excellent, washed, sanctified, and justified. Hallelujah!

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for making me your peculiar treasure, separated unto you for your glory and divine purpose. I walk in the consciousness of who I am in Christ; holy, excellent, sanctified and full of glory. Your beauty and righteousness are revealed in and through me more and more as I behold and live by your Word, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY:
Ephesians 1:4 AMPC Even as [in His love] He chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy (consecrated and set apart for Him) and blameless in His sight, even above reproach, before Him in love.

2 Timothy 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

Ephesians 2:10 AMPC For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].

THEME: IT REQUIRES THE SUPERNATURAL

THEME SCRIPTURE: But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me… (Acts 1:8 ).

Preaching the Gospel requires the supernatural. Notice I didn’t say the “spectacular” but the supernatural. The supernatural is that which is powered by the Spirit. The Spirit of God is in us and with us; He’s the power of our lives. Our sufficiency is in Him. 2 Corinthians 3:5-6 says, “Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament….”

The ministry you’ve been called into is the ministry of the Spirit, entrusted to you by the Spirit Himself. Without Him, you cannot fulfil it; but with Him, nothing is impossible. This is why your relationship with Him is absolutely vital.

As much as God wanted the early disciples to go out and preach the Gospel, He gave them a profound instruction: “And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high” (Luke 24:49). The empowerment came just as promised in Acts 2:1-4, when they were filled with the Holy Spirit.

From that moment, everything changed; it became dynamic evangelism. They preached the Gospel with boldness and demonstrated the power of God through miracles, signs, and wonders by the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah!

The message He gave us is one that’s humanly difficult to believe without the supernatural. In fact, it was easier for those in Bible days to believe it than it is for people today, but even then, they still needed the supernatural. How much more, therefore, do we need it in our day! We need the proof of our message. And our heavenly Father is fully aware of this and has already made the necessary provisions.

You’re not the one trying to convince God to give you proof; He’s the one telling you that you need it. He’s the one offering it. Many pray, “O God, I want to preach the Gospel with power,” but He already knows that. He’s the one stirring that desire in your heart. So, pay attention as He guides you in the steps to take.

Having received the Holy Spirit, you now have the power to be an effective witness, a proof-producer, just as we read in our opening scripture. Trust His grace at work in your life. Trust His Word. When He speaks to you and gives you guidance in your heart, receive it. His guidance is always supernatural, even when it may not appear outwardly spectacular.

PRAYER
In the Name of the Lord Jesus, I function always in the power of the Spirit. I’m yielded to the Holy Spirit who inspires my thoughts, words, and confirms my message with miraculous signs and wonders. I’m a dispenser of divine power and solutions. Through me, lives are transformed and nations are impacted, by the Spirit of God. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY:
Zechariah 4:6 So he answered and said to me: "This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: 'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' Says the LORD of hosts.

1 Corinthians 2:4-5 AMPC And my language and my message were not set forth in persuasive (enticing and plausible) words of wisdom, but they were in demonstration of the [Holy] Spirit and power [a proof by the Spirit and power of God, operating on me and stirring in the minds of my hearers the most holy emotions and thus persuading them], [5] So that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men (human philosophy), but in the power of God.

Acts 14:3 NIV So Paul and Barnabas spent considerable time there, speaking boldly for the Lord, who confirmed the message of his grace by enabling them to perform signs and wonders.

THEME: A GIFT WELL DESERVED

THEME SCRIPTURE: For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ (Romans 5:17).

There’s something profoundly beautiful about the righteousness we have in Christ Jesus: even though it was given to us as a gift, it is a gift well deserved. Someone might say, “But I thought it was an unmerited favour?” Not exactly; righteousness wasn’t given to us as an unmerited favour but as a well-deserved gift of grace, and I’ll explain.

First, understand that Christianity didn’t begin before the Cross, on the Cross, or even from the Cross; it began after the resurrection. What does this mean? When God raised Jesus from the dead, He raised Him with the righteousness of God. And the Bible says we were raised together with Him. When the Lord Jesus was raised from the dead, He was born again.

Recall the prophetic words of the Psalmist, echoed by Paul in Acts 13:33, “God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my
Son, this day have I begotten thee.” The Lord Jesus was the first of the new creation, and we were made alive together with Him. In Him, you became a new creation, not a sinner in need of mercy.

All your sins were buried with Christ. Your old nature was crucified with Him. Everything about you that was condemned or condemnable was nailed to the Cross with Him. Romans 6:4 says, “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” So, when Jesus was raised from the dead, we were born into a newness of life; we were born with His righteousness. It wasn’t unmerited!

We deserved what we got because we’re born of Him. We belong to Him. Let this understanding guide your walk with God! This is the very message He sent us to preach and teach. He wants the world to know that they’ve been made righteous in Christ Jesus. They don’t have to struggle for it; they don’t have to try to attain it, because it’s unattainable. It’s a gift purchased by the blood of Jesus Christ; a gift well deserved, for He paid the price to make it so. Hallelujah!

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for granting me the understanding and revelation of my righteousness in Christ Jesus. I walk boldly in the consciousness that I was raised together with Christ, justified, perfected and born righteous. I reign in life, expressing your nature and fulfilling your will with boldness and joy, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY:
Romans 5:12-17 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: 13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. 14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. 15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. 16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification. 17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Romans 6:4 NIV We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

THEME: YOU’RE SPECIAL

THEME SCRIPTURE: But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9 AMPC).

Being born again, you’re special, you’re royalty. You’re different because you carry the very life of God within you. This isn’t a mere religious idea; it’s reality. Hallelujah! You have eternal life in you, and that makes you a dispenser of eternal verities. It helps to understand why the Lord Jesus said, “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover” (Mark 16:17-18).

This shows that you’re not ordinary; you’re to impact others with the life and nature of God in you. You’re a blessing. Remember what God said to Abraham; He said, “I'll bless you and make you a blessing” (Genesis 12:2). And the Bible says, “Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made…” (Galatians 3:16); we’re the seed of Abraham.

Don’t see yourself as one of the masses or among the needy; you are a king-priest. The Lord Jesus chose you out of the world (John 15:19); you’re not a commoner. You were handpicked by God as His peculiar treasure. Carry this consciousness. Even now, declare: “I’m special. I’m royalty. I’m God’s peculiar treasure; excellent and full of glory.” Blessed be God!

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for choosing me and setting me apart as your peculiar treasure. I walk in the consciousness that I’m royalty, full of your life, excellence and glory. I’m a blessing to my world, a dispenser of eternal verities, and through me many discover their identity and purpose in Christ. I’m bold, unwavering and effective in this calling, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

THEME: YIELD YOUR MIND TO THE SPIRIT IN PRAYER

THEME SCRIPTURE: For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful (1 Corinthians 14:14).

Praying in tongues is one of the most powerful spiritual exercises you can engage in. It’s the language of the Spirit through which you utter divine mysteries. When you pray in tongues, your spirit communicates directly with God, bypassing the limitations of the natural mind.

However, your prayer becomes far more impactful and effective when your mind is engaged as you speak in tongues. Fix your attention on what you’re praying about. There may be the tendency for your mind to wander as you pray, but refuse the distractions and deliberately keep your mind focused on the Spirit.

As you do, He’ll flood your mind with visions, thoughts, and ideas. These may be revelations from God or creative insights that He inspires within you. He enables you to see possibilities, create godly imaginations, and bring divine realities into manifestation. So, always engage your mind in prayer to perceive what the Spirit is revealing. As He grants you visions, respond accordingly; that’s how you partner with Him to bring Heaven’s plans to pass on earth.

The Christian life is a walk in the Spirit. The Spirit-filled life is a life of rest, joy and victory. He keeps you strong, refreshed and full of faith. So, even in prayer, depend on His guidance, follow His instructions, and yield to His influence. Hallelujah!

PRAYER
Dear Father, as I pray in the Spirit, you reveal divine mysteries to me, and I create and shape circumstances in line with your perfect will. Thank you for synchronising my spirit with your will, causing me to function in divine wisdom and power, and walk in your glory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
