Episode 14
"Come with me and I would take you and your friend to the hospital'' the commissioner said as we were standing outside the station.
"Or don't worry sir, we would find our way'' I replied and immediately start moving in the opposite direction which his car his facing. I placed Emmanuel's hand on my shoulder and helped him to get moving. I don't really trust that man.
"But you don't know anyone here, let me take you to where you are going'' He insisted.
"We can manage on our own'' I replied still moving forward with a weak friend.
"At least pity your friend who is weak'' He shouted after us.
I didn't reply him as we have already covered some distance from him.
"Dude am tired, let's go back to this man'' Emmanuel said weakly.
"No, That won't be necessary '' I replied adamantly
"Why''
"Because I have seen a bike'' I replied as I stretched my free hand forward to flag down the bike.
"Brother Abass'' I exclaimed in suprise as the rider of the bike came into proper view.
"Haa Bolu wetin you na dey find for here, I tot say them talk say you Don enter prison'' He said with his house accent.
"They just release us now now oo'' I replied.
"We thank God''
"You fit take us to skylight'' I asked
"Oya make we go'' He said as he started his bike. I helped Emmanuel on the bike and I sat at his back and the bike zoomed off.


You are probably wondering how I know the man. Brother Abass is an hausa man who works as a gate man at beacon. We are pretty close. You don't need to know much.
Within 12 minutes, we got to the place, skylight hospital.
"OK take care oo'' brother abass said as he started the bike and zoomed off without collecting a dime. I signed in relief because I also didn't have any money with me.

With Emmanuel who was partly leaning on me, I manage to climb the stairs and get ourselves into the hospital.
All the nurses eyes was on me yet non of them come to offer a helping hand. That's bad.
I placed Emmanuel on a steel chair in the waiting room and went to meet one of the nurses.
"Good afternoon'' I greeted
"Good afternoon''
"Where is the doctor'' I asked
"And who are you'' she asked uninterested
"Am here to see the doctor'' I replied obviously avoiding her irrelevant question.
"Where is your......
Senior Bolu
I heard my name call from behind. I turned to face the chocolate, slender form of the Doctor's son, sope.
"Sope how na?''
"Fine Oo, ''
"Where is your dad'' I asked.
"THAT IS the door to his office'' He replied pointing to a particular brown door.
"OK thanks''
"Emmanuel chill I dey come''
Sope knocked the door and entered and I followed closely behind him. Sitter behind a desk is a middle aged mam(late forties), nicely trimmed beard and low cut, he is clad with a lab coat over a stripped white and black shirt with a grey trousers.

Within five minutes, I had explained everything that happened to him and he immediately started treatment. I also borrowed his phone which I used to call my parents. My parents got to the hospital ten minutes later. I couldn't call Emmanuel parents as I didn't know their number and he was already asleep.
My mom and dad met me on the bed. I was weak and my eyes were already heavy when they came in cause the doctor had given me a drip, and a shot of sedative.
"Bolu'' my mum exclaimed as soon as she saw me.
I could only manage to give a weak smile before slipping into unconsciousness..

Episode 13
"Are you OK at all, why are you staring at the commissioner like that'' the D.P.O asked with anger in his voice.
Wow, so he is a commissioner, that's nice. But what could he be doing here. We ain't that popular, are we? I thought to myself.
"And you, why are you leaning on the wall, can't you stand upright'' He asked Emmanuel.
I looked back and saw Emmanuel leaning helplessly, . on the wall. I pitied him as the look on his face shows he might pass out anytime soon.
My gaze fell on Dan who was also leaning partly on the wall. How he got the strength to stand and the good and neat looks in just two days is amazing. He looks well kept and there can only be one explanation for that, he was taken care of.
I smiled in anger as the thought crossed my mind. They took care of the leader of a gang of armed robbers and left those who did the work of stopping him. That's just nice.

"Now am here to just ask you some few questions'' the commissioner started breaking the silence.
"We have been asked a lot of questions since we have been unlawfully detained here which has led us no where'' I replied calmly.
"Are you OK at all? Do you even realize you are talking to the commissioner? The DPO shouted.
"Yes sir I know he is the commissioner but he is also a human being not a demi god'' I replied bravely staring straight into the eyes of the commissioner. That left the DPO tongue tied for a few minutes.
"Do you know this man'' the commissioner asked referring to Dan.
"Yea'' I replied.
"How do you know him'' He asked
" He is the gang leader of the the armed robbers that attacked my school two days ago. Also, I think I remember shooting him twice in the leg. How is the leg holding up Dan'' I asked as my gaze fell on the bandaged leg.
"Ehen now how would you know his name''
"How is that your business''
"THAT IS the point am trying to prove here sir, the boys are members of the gang if not the leaders. They only did this things for there selfish reasons'' the DPO said trying to convince the commissioner.

OK that would not do. Since you wanna play sly, then let's play sly.
"Oo do you even here yourself, you you realize how stupid you sound. I'd we were actually members as you claim, why would we shoot our Gang members.''
"Because of your selfish reasons or how else would you know this gentleman name''
"Gentleman my foot. This man is a killer and the only reason why I know his name is because he told me. And why does it sound like you are supporting him sir'' I asked adding the sir for a little respect.
"Ehen why would he tell you his name, you see'' He asked again with renewed vigor.
"How about you go ask Yo mamma'' I replied in double G voice. I saw a simple crept up Emmanuel and the commissioner's face. Wait a minute why would he smile,he isn't a fan of game shakers, or is he?
"What? How dare you? You stupid incompetent fo..''
"Excuse me but with all due respect old man, I am anything but incompetent'' I said cutting him off''
"If there is anybody who is incompetent in this place, it's you and your entire police department.'' I started angrily.
"We called you immediately the armed robbers came but you chose to come but 45 minutes later maybe with the hope of avoiding a gun battle due to your incompetence. Do you even think to realize what would have happened if we haven't taken matters to our own hands''. I asked looking straight into his eyes as he remained mute.
"An entire school could have been wiped out. Future leaders.'' I replied seeing he was tongue tied.
"We jumped off a two storey building to do what you fools can never do. Yet we didn't receive any medical attention rather you choose to treat the criminal'' I said pointing to Dan.
"He was injured and he a bad shape we had to rush hi... ''
"SHUT UP. So we were the one who is not injured. We stopped a gang of 30 armed robbers, captured their leader with zero casualty and still keep the money. You dummies only showed up at the end. So Tell me who is incompetent.'' I looked at his face waiting for him to say something but he remained mute.
"We just did what you can never do even in your wildest dream'' I started calmly.
"And the best reward you miserable lowlife could give us is to lock us up giving a stupid excuse of us being suspects and even members of the gang''
"Yes are you not members of the gang. Or tell me how two underage SS3 student 's are able to handle guns so well that they stopped an entire Gang of armed robbers, and even sink a perfect head shot. ANSWER ME'' the DPO thundered.
"Like seriously can you even here yourself'' I asked with disbelief.
"Everything that was done there was done on survival instincts, adrenaline and action film'' I added the last word with a smirk.
"Is this your stupid reason for arresting us. Could you not even use your sense and question the gang leader that you arrested or couldn't you check the school records for our names? '' I asked angrily.
"Do you even know we can sue you and your entire police department for these'' I asked a bit more calmly.
"With all due respect sir, the police force is just an excuse for failure, incompetence and zero minded individuals'' I ended keeping my gaze on the commissioner.
I was expecting a frown from the commissioner but instead he smiled and his face appears calm.

"Are these boys a member of your gang'' the commissioner asked Dan.
"H...mmm''
"Answer me truthfully or else you would regret it for the rest of your life'' He said angrily
"No sir'' Dan said bitterly with his head facing the ground.
"Good''
"Release these boys and give them every of their property'' the commissioner said to the DPO who could only nod.
"And I want this case followed to the end''
"You are free to go and you can collect your cloth at the counter'' the DPO managed to say.
"Won't you apologize'' the commissioner asked.
"WHAT? '' the DPO shouted in shock
"Apologize.'' the commissioner repeated.
"Am sorry'' the DPO murmured.
"I won't accept that'' the commissioner said.
" Am sorry for every inconvenience we may have caused'' He said but not after giving us a disdainful look which the commissioner only nodded at.
"Am sorry for any problem that they may have caused you'' the commissioner said humbly.
"Shall we'' He asked already rising from his sit.
"Mr DPO, you would hear from me soon'' He said before turning and walking out of the office.
We followed him and walked out off the office but not before Dan gave me the killer look which I only smirked at.
We still met the officers on their knees at the counter. I asked for my clothes and they gave it to us. We were them and left the station.
"FINALLY'' I breathed

EPISODE 12
Part 2
45 minutes later.
"Usman park, . '' I said as I already sighted the station ahead.
"Haa Oga, . a make I drive you there, he no far again'' He replied already shaken a bit and feeling scared.
"Usman, come on, don't worry. I would just go there myself and when I call you, our would bring the car and park it at the front of the station, Okay? '' I said in a bid to calm his nerves as I knew he was already scared about his job. Jeez he really love his job. He is really diligent with his work and to replace him would be really hard to do. I took my face cap which I had earlier placed beside me and wore it on my head and I stepped out of the car. I took in a deep breath as I enjoy the beautiful morning air. Obvious of Usman confused eyes on me, I did a few stretches on my legs and I started jogging down to the station. I got there 45 seconds later and waited for about 10 seconds to rest.
Pheewww am becoming rusty I thought to myself as I was breathing a bit to heavily. I walked in through the blue gate into the compound. The compound is almost empty save for the few trees and a police van. The ground was mostly covered with leaves, dry leaves. I paused just few metres before the blue and white police building. I adjusted My cap to cover 70% of my face and I walked in through the blue door.

"Hello I want to see the DPO'' I said as I stood before the counter. But instead of replying me, they all ignored me like I wasn't even there. There were about 6 police men behind the counter and 5 of them were talking to each other. While the last one looks busy with whatsoever he is doing.
"Excuse me I want to see the DPO'' I repeated a bit louder. Still I got no reply.
I repeated my statement two more times yet they still ignored me yet I kept my cool.
"Look Mr man, you cannot see the DPO, he is busy'' a dark thin man finally said. I stared at the man who look so lean with hunger. I only wondered how he knew this without even going to check on the aid DPO, maybe he is telepathic.
"But how did you know, you didn't even go to his office'' I replied faintly amused.
"So you now have the audacity to question us abi'' one brown man with yellow teeth replied.
"Abeg this place no be your house oo'' another one added and they all began to rain insults in me. I only shocked my head with a smile.
"Hey what's going on here'' a chocolate, tall, slender man dressed in the police uniform asked a he walked towards the counter. Although his uniform seems to have more badges showing he is of a higher rank.
"Inspector, e ma gba wa ke, na this Bobo come here wan dey teach us our job''He said with his hands akimbo.
"Yes Mr Man what do you want'' He asked facing me.
"Am here to see the DPO'' I replied with a smug smile on my face.
"Do you have an appointment with him'' He asked.
"No'' I replied thinking that this man might be more sensible than the others.
"You see he does not even have an appointment '' one of them popped in.
"Well... '' the inspector began. "You see, the DPO is a very busy man and he is busy right now. Maybe we may convince him to see you if you can just drop something for us'' He ended
" Something like? '' I asked faking confusion
"Give us money abeg, passage clearance. Na so them go dey do like JJC.'' the back one replied with an obviously annoyed tone.
So it's true I thought. This is how rotten our police force is. Under my administration. I guess I would be doing the more often. I looked up on the wall just above them and I saw the sarcastic statement "POLICE IS YOUR FRIEND'' I shaked my head in pity for them and fixed my gaze back on them. I wouldn't reveal my identity now, not yet, let's keep playing.
"But that is bribe'' I finally replied.
"Mtchewww'' came a long hiss from the black man.
" Abi this man Don smoke ni'' one of them asked.
"So you want to be teaching us our job here abi'' the brown one added.
"See the way he even use cap cover him head.''
"Am sure say he be criminal.''
"Oya remove your cap'' the black one said as he jerked the cap off my head.


I kept my face down but then I raised my head slowly to face them and they were all stunned for three minutes.
"Hu... M...... T..... Hhh..... E'' they stuttered as they searched for words to say.
"So this is how you greet your superior, Right?'' I asked allowing enough anger to seep into my voice.
"No.... Oo sir,s...hun sir''
"Everybody go on your knees and I don't want to hear a sound'' I replied as a form of punishment.
"Where is the DPO's office? '' I asked
"This way sir'' the inspector replied as he tries to point the way.
"Stand up and take me there'' I said. He stood up almost immediately and led the way. He got to the office and knocked twice before entering and I followed closely behind him.
"Shun sir'' the inspector saluted immediately he entered the office .
"SHUN SIR'' the DPO also saluted on sighting me.

"Sir come in sir and have a sit'' He said offering me his own large chair as he stood up and sat on the visitors/guest chair.
He tapped someone to stand up from one of the chairs and that is when I noticed him. His face looks vaguely familiar but I can't remember where I saw him. He is pretty tall bit not too muscular. Has a dark skin complexion with neatly combed hair. He looks clean on his white Polo over a dark shorts. His left thigh was bandaged. He stood up from the chair almost immediately although with a little difficulty as it seems the left thigh is giving him problems. He limped and stood at a side of the room leaning on the wall.
"What brings you here sir'' the DPO asked.
"Am here on regards of those boys that were arrested two days ago''
"O yes, inspector go and bring those two boys in Cell3B.'' He ordered and the inspector left immediately.
"am sure those boys are criminals'' He said trying to ease his nervous state and the little tension in the room. I was not bothered about that. I just want to see those boys and ascertain their innocence which am sure off. I noticed the tense looks exchanged between the DPO and the man by the wall. My thoughts were interrupted by laughter. Really hard laughter. Maybe those boys have seen the police men on their kneels. I only chuckled to myself as the DPO looks around confused. The laughter subsided and few seconds later, we heard a knock as the inspector came in with two boys and left immediately.

The first one was a dark skinned boy with a strange mild red nose. He is a bit muscular with broad shoulders and taller than the other one. He is clad in just singlet and grey trousers. He looks kinda weak maybe sick. My gaze fell on the second boy. He is brown, a bit dark brown. Just an inch or maybe two shorter than the dark one, less muscular and also clad in the same clothes. But I was shocked when I discovered that his gaze is also on me with a searching look. Then he arched his brows up giving me the who the Bleep are you look.
