Where did he lie. Dangote is a businessman and would seek profit over public good. Not saying that’s a bad thing but it’s important to know that Dangote would never choose a better Nigeria over a bigger bank account. It is the way he has amassed his wealth so far. You can make of that whatever you see fit.

Give things a quarter to settle.
They're removing subsidy completely.
This was always going to be turbulent.

I was of the opinion that it'll be more gradual.
But it appears they opted for the all-at-once option.

The prices of diesel and gasoline will be in the same bracket.
Petrol should be marginally cheaper. Keyword is should.

Now, some players are attempting to make Dangote the villian.
But marketers are still the wolves. They could opt to adulterate Dangote's gasoline for higher margins.
Or import dirty petrol from outside the shores and sell slightly less than Dangote or at the same price but with higher profit margins.
And no one would stop them. They were importing bad fuel when we paid subsidy.

It is why I opened with "give it time".

-Lord
If Dangote is sincere, he would have stated the price he is selling like he did with Diesel, Kerosene and Aviation Fuel.

Don't try to exclude Dangote here, all of them are villians

Women will forever remain a wonder.
Some things about them start to make sense and just when you are almost certain of your mastery, they get you totally confused again.

Isn't it ironic that if Janice Combs were 40 or 50 years younger, she'd be considered an evening newspaper, but here is an 84year old looking like a bestselling Encyclopedia.
Just like wine, women get better with age.

But not our Naija women.

Who will only take care of themselves to get a man, and once they've gotten one, all the effort ends. Some won't bathe except when on their periods, others will perpetually wear wigs on unkempt hair and the very majority of them have bulgy shapeless tummy.

With the girdles, tights and all, it is faster for a mechanic to couple a new engine than for a man to undreśs a fully dressed Naija woman.

You can't eat six wraps of fufu with two bottles of orobo Pepsi and watch Zeeworld all day in bed then expect a waist trainer to do magic.

I don't blame them, I blame our men and it's just a shame that Nigerian men have no taste; anything goes for them and that's why Nigerian women can't be bothered.

There are some pregnant women I've seen and wondered if it was truly a man that impregnated them or it was artificial insemination.

God knows that I'd rather mastùrbate than cavort with a lady of low sex appeal.
With that said, the one thing I know about women is that there's something in every woman that makes them special to at least one person.

Dangote is a back stabber, a betrayal of the masses for agreeing & conniving with the government to sell above his cost of production... You can't tell me that at this close price to imported fuel is what it cost him even without landing costs and other logistics. Fear mongering.
You do not need more than half a plot of land to farm all a family needs for food. I have a section on my own farm where I produce tomatoes, pepper, plantain, oranges, coconut, pawpaw, ugu, water leaf and bitter leaf. My cassava I harvested from another location gave me 300kg of gari. Abakaliki rice I bought when it was still 38,000 a bag...we never finish am. Beans harvest is due in November. Corn we eat and also use some for our birds.

I have palm oil from another land where I have palm trees. Same land also gives me pineapples. I have goats, chickens. The only thing I buy is onions and condiments, many of which I bought in bulk for those with long expiry dates.

The problem is Nigerians do not think and do not make any effort at positive innovation. They just sit and complain and complain and complain. Even as fuel is expensive, how many have thought to save up to buy bicycles and use this as a made of transport just as is done in Tokyo and Utrecht?

Feeding a family is a conscious decision which should be made by EVERY MAN worth his salt.

You are enjoying education and health subsidy, and also not having half your income taken away in tax or even paying tax on everything.

Uk is an example of a saner clime...yet in that UK, they pay income tax, council tax, and power and water bills are very high. Plus other smaller taxes, including a tax paid everytime you buy fuel there...and UK is an oil producting economy.

Yes , they pay them well, and yes, free healthcare and so on, but that is about it...even education is not free there anymore.and the tax chops their money

If government wanted, they could remove education and health subsidy, and all of a sudden you would be paying above 5 million naira for appendizx removal in hospital. or 10 million for ceasrean section, or fees could reach 200000 or more for primary school, and millions for university.
At least those taxes are used for something

This is a beautiful development. I love the fact that NNPCL is no longer the middle man . Let everyone buy directly from anywhere they want , that's the way to go. Do you all know what I see in this new development? Mark my words today , you see all those moribund refineries we have across the country would be forced to work now , so there won't be sabotage anymore. Do you know why ? Fuel prices in southwest are a bit lower than those from those in other regions due to the location of Dangote refinery, meaning prices of same items would differ with respect to their close proximity to the refinery. The disappointment from other Nigerians living far away from southwest where Dangote refinery is located , could trigger a revolution where new refineries could be set up or other moribund refineries adequately maintained without any sabotage happening again. The direct effect could birth competition which could bring down fuel prices at the long run, the way it happened with network providers some years back, then, Nigerians would smile again
Keep dreaming

professorPABX:
You are 100% correct. I am happy that Tinubu is in power and we have Cardoso in CBN, Wale Edun in Finance Ministry, Mele Kyari in NNPC and Farouk as the Regulator of Midstream and Downstream Sector.

Though PENGASSAN a very strong body in the oil Sector told Nigerians few days ago why NNPC was the sole offtaker of PMS from Dangote, I observed that information was deserted by Social Media miscreants.

I am very happy that marketers wanted to buy directly from Dangote. I know Dangote will not want that. It is not that Dangote doesn't want to sell directly to them but Dangote doesn't want the marketers to tell Nigerians how much they are buying PMS from him. Dangote prefers NNPC to continue to be paying Subsidy on PMS procured from him.

I think Professor Akintola of MURIC and South West elites can now see what is happening. Contrary to the media propaganda of the Head of Media of DANGOTE Refinery which was channeled to his kinsmen that NNPC prevented the marketers from buying PMS directly from Dangote Refinery because Dangote wanted to crash the price which prompted Professor Akintola of MURIC to complain the last time, we can now see what is happening.
This is what myself and some reasonable folks over here has been saying.

But Nigerians will be Nigerians
