Ndi Igbo loves themselves. They seize every possible opportunity to shower their people with food, money, opportunities and goodwill.
It's only in Igbo land that rich people build roads and bridges, build schools and churches, build town halls and markets for their people.
We cannot stop doing good to our people. |

iamadonis2: Guy, you reason am Sharp! Wonder how society just moved to antagonize females. Girls de follow hammer. I wonder how he expected the girl to just endure and stay without any assurances of marriage or commitment. If he dumps her when he makes money then it's the girl that will lose everything. The is girl gave him her youth, her body, her companionship and her trust all that 3 years, and he is not taking care of her as he ought to since go he said he didn't have the means. Men should understand that women are not their doormats. |

iamadonis2: There's something I've always wanted to point out in all these Nairaland sob stories. How is it that in all the stories, the guy only gets the so-called contract after the girl may have left?
This detail, maybe added to witch hunt the female folks, is quite unnecessary. Women can break you, yes; but even a lazy brother can.
Women can make you hammer, too. They can make you grow. And yes, more importantly, they can walk away and get their own "contract" without batting an eyelid at the one you just won. The same girl can walk out and meet the richest young boy in this country and get married to him and in two months will be pregnant, living in her husbands new house in New York and starting school in a university in the USA. Meanwhile The former boyfriend's broke azz might just be chasing the normal N50,000 contracts |

Adams011: Okay, I understand, but just when she left things started to change for me, I won a contract worth more than six figures but, I'm so sad she's not here to eat the fruits of her patience. I thought I shouldn't have included this before, but you just got me to pour the thing out. And you have found a more pretty girl to enjoy your new loot? And in your mind now, she was the "winch" sent by your village people to tie your destiny all these years abi? Very predictable. |

Adams011: Yes we've been having sex. Then I think she has every reason to expect that you take care of her financial needs like her friends are being taken care of as you said. Every girl has an expiry period and their value depreciates with age, supposing you dump her after enjoying her body alone for many years and she ends up with nothing? She cannot bank on the hope that you will help her after your situation improves because your tastes might improve with your situation and she becomes old news, losing everything. You never really knows a man till he makes a lot of money. Marriage, she is not sure Money, she didn't get Personal development, zero And when may just end up committing suicide. |

Christianity Etc › Re: The Voice Of One Crying In The Wilderness: Memo To The Yoruba Church (2) by SLAP44: 7:27am On Apr 26, 2020 |
ooduapathfinder: By which we know, the Church (congregationally) in Yorubaland must serve the purposes of the Yoruba Nation.
The Church in Abuja are free to choose whom it will serve.
Enabling the Church to become active participants in the shaping of our world; the Yoruba world.
For the pretensions of the Nigerian Post-Colonial State on addressing the pandemic is the manifestation of its inadequacy in coping with the health mechanism of her citizens, having been deprived of their humanity as a consequence of its establishment as a Post-Colonial State.
Denying us the capacity to develop Intellectual Property capability, a precondition for development.
Exemplified by the “loss” of capability to overcome Sickle Cell disease; the wasting away of several research reports gathering dust on University shelves; all because the Post-Colonial State is comfortable playing the role assigned to it as the executioner of our Humanity.
By which we know that the Post-Colonial State cannot go outside the limitations placed on it by its creators; hence can do no more than sheepishly following what it is told to do.
Now calling on the Church to embrace Autonomy/Self-determination in all its ramifications.
Getting the various Congregations to unite behind the Yoruba Referendum.
Calling for its actualization from the Pulpit as a Ministerial and Pastoral responsibility.
The Church, by this very act, repudiating the colonial holdover.
The notion that we are a “tribe” and not a Nation.
And our manifestation as the “sons of God”.
For whom “the creation eagerly waits”
“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
Wale Odeku I didn't say anything o |
