77 years old Zimbabwean man has been burnt to ashes following a wild fire during his mother-in-law’s memorial service in Mashonaland East province.

Mashonaland East provincial acting police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Misheck Denhere confirmed the incident in a statement.

Prof. Lilian Salami, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Benin, has mandated students to leave the school premises before 12pm on Wednesday after the protest that rocked the institution on Tuesday.

Mark Onuoha, a 48-year-old man, on Friday was arraigned in an Ikorodu Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State, afer he reportedly bit off a woman’s ear. SleekGist

The suspect, Onuoha, whose address was not provided, was charged with assault and causing grievous bodily harm. SleekGist

He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge, NAN reports.

The prosecutor, Insp Christian Okonofua, narrated to the court that the defendant committed the offence on Aug. 31 at 7 at Itowolo, Ikorodu area of Lagos state.

Okonofua said the defendant assaulted one Mrs Rebecca Amosun by biting her up and biting off her left ear.

According to the prosecutor, the offences contravenes Sections 245 and 173 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Section 173 provides for one-year jail term for assault.

The Magistrate, Mrs T. A. Shotobi, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N25,000 with two sureties in like sum.

Actress Annie Idibia has described herself as the devil in reaction to her husband, Tuface's brother, Charles' new call-out posts on Instagram.

Tuface's brother in the call-out posts, listed how Annie has allegedly disrespected her husband and his family.

Responding to this via an Instastory post, Annie said Charles is now tired of insulting her and her mother and now cooking up sympathy messages.

Annie who also claimed that Charles is still living in her house, alleged that her husband's brother is now "changing direction" and "trying to get sympathy with more lies". She also wondered why a man will be in love with her since she was 16 if she was evil and the devil.

Big Brother Naija, BBNaija reality show went off air on Monday night.

SLEEKGIST observed that the Season 6 edition of the reality show stopped airing around 10pm.

This is the first time since the beginning of the reality show that viewers will experience such a break in transmission.

The message on the designated channel, 198 on DSTV for BBNaija reads, “We will be back back.”

The second eviction on the 2020 Big Brother Naija show just took place and Eric and Tochi were evicted.

They were evicted after, they were put up for eviction with Kaisha and  trickytee.

BBNaija's Ozo has become the first male Head of House and he chose Dorathy as his deputy. Both won immunity from this week's eviction.

Today the weekly Head of House Challenge held to decide this week’s HoH and Deputy. And housemate, Ozo won the HOH challenge.

He found it really difficult in choosing his deputy but he eventually chose Dorathy. Which means that she will also be immune from eviction and she will share the exclusive bedroom with him as well.

When she was asked if she will accept to be Ozo's deputy, she replied;

"With all my full chest", she said as all other housemates burst into laughter

His second choice would have been Nengi, while his third choice would have been Erica if Dorathy had refused, but fortunately for him, she did not.

Speaking to biggie about his victory he said he sees it as a huge challenge to perform better than the two female former HOH.


For trying to trick Biggie, Trikytee got disqualified from the @BetwayNigeria Head of House Challenge.

Before the commencement of the challenge, Biggie announced that housemate, Lucy who was the HOH last week won’t be participating in this Challenge and neither can she be appointed as Deputy HoH.
